Very nice Cafe, great customer service. The waitresses are always smiling and friendly. We didn't wait long to get our food prepared. The food taste so delicious, we will definitely come back again.

Tried the cabinet food today it’s pretty good. Exactly what you’d expect from a cafe. They toasted my salmon bagel but the bagel was still a tiny bit stale from being out in the cabinet. Comes with a basic side salad. Good portions. Would come again. Everything else on the menu is kinda pricey, even vegetarian dishes.

Really great and bustling cafe. Efficient service. The eggs benedict was delicious, but what you expect it to be! The mushroom French toast was definitely the better of the 2 dishes, with a delicious creamy sauce to pair. Generous servings, and a fair price point also. The carpark is gravel so not the best place to park.

Services absolutely can get 5 stars. Staff were really nice and friendly even they were really busy. Truffle mushroom French toast is highly recommended. This is the first time I tried savory French Toast，which just surprised me. However，the Egg Benedict truly need to be improved…the hollandaise sauce tasted just not like hollandaise sauce…it was just taste nothing and the rosti seems like the frozen one bought from suppliers not homemade. But overall it is worth to have a try.

The best place , highly recommend for all family members . We had our breakfast and my family like there meals . Had lunch here couple weekends ago. I ordered the Crispy chicken burger which was pretty decent. Good size and value. However the mocha wasn't so great – the taste of coffee was a little too overwhelming as there wasn't enough chocolate in it. It ended up giving me a headache for the rest of the day but to be fair I was slightly hungover when I went so caffeine might not have been the best idea.

Came here for a family birthday. Some unusual things on the menu including a black rice pudding. Thought the offering of "cant decide" which was almost everything for a cooked breakfast on your plate was great. Service was good and fairly fast. Socal distancing was good for us with 2 tables joined together. Cost was close to average $108 for 4 breakfast mains and 4 coffees. We will come again for breakfast.

Excellent place with great atmosphere, delicious food, and amazing service. They were quite busy while we were here. The mocha was amazing. The chocolate was not too sweet and the espresso was smooth. The baked goods were very tasty as well. Just ate the most delicious lunch -maybe of my life- at Fields Cafe and I absolutely have to leave a 5-star review. You definitely need to stop by here if you want an all around feel good meal!

Excellent service (& patient servers!), Well situated with a nice kiddies playground. Nice to be seated outside under good-sized umbrella, although inside seating looked great as well. Good coffee options (hot and cold), although no crushed ice option available.

Had a birthday celebration for my mother today and hired out the private function room - let me just say that my experience was great! Food came out hot and fast. Ordered platters from the catering menu and they did not disappoint :) Coffee was awesome, as always, and hit just the right spot. Frankly fresh orange juice, what a great addition! Cant go wrong with freshly squeezed juice. Catered well to both my elderly grandmother and 1 year old nephews needs. Staff were very polite, and although it was busy - they were very attentive and always wearing a smile. Excellent place with a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will absolutely be back!

I've been in the neighborhood for a while and drove past this place. We decided to go there today and this is a hidden gem! The food is presented well, good portion sizes and great service. Nice outdoor play area for the kids but carry some sunscreen and caps for them. Would definitely be going back there.

Lovely place, very nice atmosphere inside and out! Great green view. Ordered a extra large soy mocha and a fields Benedict, which is an okonomiyaki base and poached eggs with hollandaise, threw in a side of salmon and fries. Fantastic taste, first time I've tried a mixture of Japanese okonomiyaki and eggs Benedict, definitely approve of this!

Nice place? Yes n No. Overheard this place from a colleagues of mine, so went there and gave it a try. First impression at the entrance is very nice and trendy. Brand new place with outdoor seatings, even a playground for kids, my little one loved it, very kind with the owner. So we went in, cafe layout is great! Massive screen on the wall with nice sections and seating options. We had a look to the cabinet food for dessert (we had lunch prior), and lined up to order. Noticed tables are generally not wiped down, they might just finished a hectic service. Talked to the staff at counter, no emotion displayed, had to repeat orders a couple of times, where later on we got wrong stuff delivered to our table. Coffee is loose warm, chocolate berry cake isn’t the most fresh tasting. A bit turned down, considering the effort they made to the place. Staff are not prepared I guess, can tell that they are a bit unfamiliar with the work. Will come back and try the meal once before saying anything more I guess. But colleague didn’t recommend after they had meals there. But I will find out myself. :)

Had lunch here which after a bit of a wait and a reminder to staff we were waiting we were seated. Stunning views, nice and warm. Table waiting staff were friendly. Food was OK. I had chilli scramble on a scallion pancake, scramble was yum, pancake overcooked but when told staff he came over with a piece of cake as an apology. So well handled. My friends smashed pumpkin was unbelievably divine. Will be back.

Had lunch with a friend here today. Great spot for social distancing as large and plenty of space. The staff were fabulous and service was quick. The food was AMAZING - I had corn croquettes and my friend the truffled mushroom, both stunning flavours and beautifully presented. I thought it was well priced for the quality too. Cabinet food looked wonderful too but we were full from our dishes already so back for coffee and a treat another time for sure!

Given that this is a brand spanking new cafè, I can forgive the fact that it is very very busy! Close to a 30 minute wait (@ peak time, so understandable), but certainly worth it. Beautiful coffee and gorgeously presented food. Staff are very friendly and make for a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely location with good coffee. Might be good if the staff told people the shots are double and the cups are very small, this would avoid remaking coffee, sure to it being too strong for some. Also, the attention to customers is pretty poor. I had to approach the counter in two occasions, as no one came to serve us. This picture shows my$22 mushroom medley, very tasty and very over priced. A georgous salmon bagel in the cabinet is only$12.50 hmmm

better to get another carpark sign or navigation to the roundabout. it wasn't clear of the white sign as the sun will block it during daytime. the taste, location and the view are all above 8/10, it's fabulous to dine here with friends or family (there's a playground outside the cafe). Maybe try to get rid of flies, it felt bad to dine with 2 flies that staring at our food.

Fields is a place for everyone. A beautiful spot to meet friends and family while the kiddies stay entertain on the playground. It’s the perfect place for a meeting or your last stop on the way home for a treat! After months of hard work, Albany's new neighborhood cafe is finally ready for launch.

Best cafe in Albany hands down The cafe itself is elegant, spacious and exciting. There's plenty of parking boasting large playground. It's also close to a lot of stores, which is handy. The delicious coffee is well brewed by a famous barista, Danny. Im definitely going here again to try their beautiful looking salads! The food choices are creative and appealing, perhaps too big portions, but that's just me. Shout out to Isaac, an authentic, excellent host!

My first visit and really enjoyed it. The coffee was served quickly and I couldn't decide between the Blueberry Ricotta Hotcakes or the Hangover Hash. After asking a staff member for their recommendation, I selected the Hangover Hash. A delicious choice. Not too large and with just the right balance of flavours. (And I get to go back and have the hotcakes next visit!) The staff were prompt, attentive and very pleasant to deal with...a real credit to the cafe. One word of advice - parking can be at a premium so consider taking the first one you come across on the street.

Pretty good. Went there because our original choice was closed. Nice decor, the staff were friendly and our waitress kept our water carafe full which was fantastic. We had cabinet food because the menu was a little generic, and my wrap was tasty and clearly fresh. My friend didn't comment but her chicken bun was nicely presented. Coffee was also good and nice and hot- in a hot cup which i always appreciate. Would come back as it's been lovely place to have a good catch up- enough attentiveness but also right amount of space without feeling rushed. Service just works perfect

I had cabinet food, which was OK, the sausage roll was good, a bit too much fennel, the cheesecake didn't taste baked at all. The matcha was way too sweet and certainly didn't look like a large. Neither did the flat white my mom got. The scrambled eggs and toast is decent value, but that's it. It's kinda overpriced too. There are other places to go around Albany, so I can't recommend this one.

My Mum and I had the most wonderful lunch here - our waiter, Ben, was incredible and gave us such a high level of service that I’ve only ever experienced overseas. The food was delicious, the space is beautiful, and all of the staff had a genuine kindness about them that you just don’t get in Auckland anymore! We will be back :)

We are from out of town but Hospo is our trade . We met our daughters as they live local. A lot of girls serving out front but they are all aimlessly serving tables with obviously no one assigned particular areas. 3 of us ordered off the menu and my wife ordered a salmon bagel out of the cabinet. We all got our meals and my wife had to ask for her bagel which they obviously had forgotten so a quick blast in microwave and slammed on table . It was very tough and chewy . My daughters comments were that the girls seemed to have a lot of attitude. Will go somewhere else next time , a shame as the cooked food was ok. You are being let down by front of house.

The food was very well cooked, but unfortunately all of it was delivered cold, as we're the hot chocolates. A shame, as you could see it had all been prepared and cooked very well, but if they can't get it to the table before it goes cold, that's not much help. When I mentioned this when I went to pay, they apologised and then went ahead and charged me full price, so not the best experience all up.

Im not being picky but have a couple things that would improve my dish. I had hangover hash. I expected a homemade hash cake but it was cubed cooked potatoes. They needed bit more salt in the cooking process and a few more pieces of chorizo would have been nice. I asked for a piece of sourdough bread as it doesn't come with toast but no butter either so that would have been nice.coffee needed to be hotter

The staff are delightful and although the cafe was full, the young waitresses stayed relaxed and were very willing to respond to our needs. The cafe is open and bright with some tables on the deck. Outside there is a place for parents to relax on bean bags and watch their children on play equipment outside. Parking area will be good when metal is sealed. One negative was the cabinet food is not easily visible unless you go past the service counter. We missed seeing that till we had paid our bill and were exploring further inside. The food looked delicious and varied.

Just had a large booking here, was an excellent experience. Atmosphere was relaxing, clean and pleasent. Everyone was very friendly, food was good and they catered well for all the little ones we had with us. Plenty of high chairs and space for all the prams. On first impression, this is a beautiful cafe. Lots of parking, amazing views, good food and a playground for the kids to play in. I give it a 4 star because our wait staff forgot our orders and then assumed what our orders were without double checking with us thus a very, very long wait for our food to be served. Not an ideal situation when you have hungry children with you. I brought this up when paying and the front staff was apologetic, offering a complimentary brownie. In all seriousness, this cafe has really good variety of food with an asian twist and drinks. They just need to train their wait staff to avoid these blunders. Would also bump this review up to a 5 star when they put in some shades for the playground. From 11am onwards, it's too hot for kids to use the playground. Looking forward to visiting this cafe again. Hopefully with a better experience next time.

Venue is beautiful/trendy. We booked a table for 9 + 2 high chairs. Had to organise extra seating as the bench seats could fit 3 comfortably at best. One high chair missing harness - was swapped when another family left. Wait time for food over an hour (it was ridiculously busy). Food beautifully presented (small portions compared to similarly priced cafes.) From personal order - Chai Latte was very heavy on the cinnamon to the point unpleasant to drink. Eggs bene was hit and miss. Eggs, sauce and spinach were nice, Japanese pancake underneath was quite undercooked - batter was still soggy and outside was not crispy. Bacon was delicious and perfectly cooked. Side of halloumi was nowhere near cooked enough. No sugars etc at table - had to ask (for almost each coffee that arrived, maybe just put a pot on each table?). I think in general it was so busy the chefs were struggling to keep up. I spoke to the lady at the register when paying and she took all of this on board and offered a free coffee for a future visit. Food in cabinets looked gorgeous but we did not try. There was a photographer walking around and taking shots of people and food. Not sure legality of that if someone was not aware they were in a shot and did not want to be seen on social media (that's what I am assuming the photographer was for...). Deck outside is lovely and large and will be a huge asset in the warmer/drier months (provided kitchen can keep up with extended restaurant demand!)

Had such an amazing experience at fields. Food was delicious, service was outstanding, resonably priced, and hygiene protocol and standards were great. Highly highly recommend this place and its nice to say our family has a new little go to place for our weekend treats! Thank you!

Food was great. Tea was rediculously over priced. One waitress was very nice the other let the team down, forgot the tea, forgot to bring water etc and unfriendly. Lovely building and will look even better when the grass outside the window grows in. Also great place to sit and have a coffee while you watch the kids play in playground on site.

Everyone’s meals came together, albeit a bit slow because of lunchtime rush, everything was good except the mushroom gnocchi wasn’t served hot or warm. Was close to salad temperature. Woohoo. Finally a local cafe getting everything right. Design and style = gorgeous and innovative. Indoor outdoor flow complete with a fenced kids playground. AND they somehow managed to get a box in the middle of a rugged field in commercial Albany to look out on a leafy vista. We came for breakfast and the offering didn't disappoint with a very creative menu using great produce. I had the chilli scrambled eggs on bing (didn't know what that was but turned out to be a delicious flaky pancake). Tasty, filling, beautifully presented and only $18. Husband had a fun riff on eggs benny with okonomiyaki standing in for muffins and the 10 year old had perfectly poached eggs on kumara sourdough. Coffee is kokako; well made & in standout crockery (a little detail but it's all the little details, you know). Am I waxing lyrical? I am a bit but it's not every day the North Shore gets a cafe that Ponsonby would be jealous of......
