L.Old review: Good service, good coffee and food. The decor needs refreshing with furniture coverings evidencing damage and staining. This is one of the few places in this downtown district that remain open over Xmas and New Year....minus the statutory holidays. It's the "go to" place during that time for food and drink. UPDATE 2020 review. Refreshed decor and seating. Now fresh and modern- much more inviting. Moved up a star.

I had bacon, scrambled eggs with mushroom and baked beans on toast and it was superb. Coffee was on point too.

T.Nothing special about this Esquires Cafe, half decent coffee but nothing to 'experience' here. Cabinet food and menu are good they undercut their neighbouring cafe prices a little for the meals and some coffee options too. Good loyalty program and they're open for much later than the others. Recommend if you're out of options but certainly not my first go-to cafe.
M.This cafe is fantastic for breakfast and lunch has a great variety of options. Fabulous food. The staff are super friendly, very welcoming and attentive. The food is very good, as a result I keep on coming back here and by the looks of it so do many others.
A.We ate here 3 times over a 24 hour period. Great baked goods and hot tea. Service was great even though they were busy. I would highly recommend to anyone in need of a quick bite in the area.
