Hill House Café (set inside the Nathan Homestead) is quite lovely 😍 It's not very big, but gives a cosy feel. The cutlery and crockery is so ornate, it makes you feel spoiled. The menu is sufficient, but their ready made cabinet food look (and taste) amazing! 🍰🥞🥮 It's nicely decorated, and makes you want to visit and stay for a while. There are benches right outside, for those wanting to enjoy nature with their cuppa ☕😋 The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and attentive

Finally a gem in the South!!!! 💎 a cosy cafe with great atmosphere and a lovely pastry selection. Food was delicious (bacon was extra crispy just how we like it) we’ll definitely be back soon 🤤🤤🤤

Yum! The cinnabuns hit the spot! I promise you will drool over their cabinet food. I had to maintain composure haha. Will be returning to try everything. Such a cool spot in our side of town!

Took the family today for breakfast as I passed by the day before and it looked a nice place and setting. All I can say it was an experience, great coffee, great staff and great food. Family was impressed with my choice and left happy. Top place.

Tucked away in Nathan Homestead - this little gem of a cafe offers great service, grunty coffee and a selection of healthy and naughty options. All lovingly crafted in house. Accompanied by good music. What's not to love? Make sure to visit the art displayed in Nathan Homestead too!

Wonderful Little Cafe Had a flatwhite and a savoury scone. It's the best scone I've had. The place is probably the best hidden spot you can find in Auckland. Staff were friendly. Place is located in an historical site and so close to the botanical garden. Would be back again and again and again!! Yummmmm

"SO GOOD IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL" I have had the pleasure of visiting Hill House Cafe on numerous occasion, in fact, it's become numerous because even after you finish the delicious food and incredible coffee... your tastebuds are left taunted, screaming for more that you have no option but to cave and fulfil the cravings. If you are looking for impeccable service, incredible food (like so good someone should be giving it a Michelin star) and exceptional coffee, then pop this one on your MUST DO & TOP EATS list. You will not be disappointed. Hill House cafe is also a great location especially on a beautiful sunny day, grab yourself some eats and coffee then perch a spot among the beautiful homestead for a picnic with the family, neighbours or just make some friends with likeminded individuals. This cafe is the epitome of community, connection, love and care from the service to the daily made goods and the care and presentation of everything they do. 5 Stars only because I can't go any higher. Gonna start by stating the obvious when you walk in: the café is beautiful! Loved the painted walls and the hanging artwork. Those cakes in the cabinet are giving me the will to return every day so I can try them all! Today, we settled for the ANZAC granola because we wanted something healthy, light, and flavourful, and also had the pumpkin hotcakes. Life is all about balance and these dishes were to die for! The team was very friendly and had good vibes. Will definitely return!

Hill House Cafe is amazing, the food and coffee are great - especially recommend the cheese scones!! The service is always friendly and the grounds are lovely to have a picnic on a nice sunny day.

Being a foodie myself @growsomepauls (IG) I've visited 1000s of food places around the world and locally. Wow is the only word I can use. Compliments to the chef! The food is fresh in ingredients but also in flavours! Creative mix of ingredients to make art that tastes good! The experience is also unique and relaxing! We can't wait to go back!

What a little and cute gem! If you are looking for a breakfast that give you a hug, look no further. Loved the food, classic with a twist, well worth the trip out of the city centre. It may become the new in spot

My sister ordered some of the cinnamon buns and almond croissants online and it was delivered. The croissant was amazing. Nice flavor and it was still quite crispy even after sitting there for the day. The cinnamon buns were also quite tasty but the croissant was really nice.
