Always a wonderful dining experience here. First time ordering these dishes and I was super happy. Not only was it delectable but as usual the coffee was exceptional! We were well taken care of during our visit and we can’t wait to come back again soon.

Delicious food as always daughter had her favorite open chicken sandwich (bit light on chicken this visit though) and I had the brioche French toast. Coffee and smoothie was also lovely. Great menu options and lovely staff.

Had so much potential but everything fell flat- coffee was watery, poke bowl Lacked flavour, burger was again lacking flavour etc. For 2 people and one senior (ordered very little) our bill was 90 dollars which is higher than we usually would pay for lunch.

Very good place to eat. We had salmon poke bowl and salt n pepper squid. Both were excellent and very good quality. Two flat whites were also excellent. A tiny bit expensive but worth it. Would highly recommend.Update Tried salmon poke and the squid all satisfactory and tasty.

Wonderful little cafe with great service and reasonable prices for delicious food. I think the mark of a good cafe is the quality of pushed eggs and they definitely qualified on that. The only reason they lost a star is that the tables were improperly cleaned, hopefully that won't be a regular issue.

If I could give more stars I would. Today we went in for breakfast to celebrate our daughter's 10th birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make her feel very special. The food was beautifully presented and equally delicious Thank you for providing wonderful customer service. Highly recommend

I went for dinner there for the first time on a Friday. The place was busy but not crowded. The food was far better than expected and the staff were very friendly and inviting. This venue does not sell alcohol.

I had an open Sandwich.. With chicken thigh and camembert cheese done chutney salad and avocado.. It was really delicious. We didn't wait that long as I told them I was in a hurry as I was about to go to a movie next door. Its well worth going in to discover the great food on offer. A bit expensive but really tasty

Great place to drop in an have dinner. Ideally situated next to the Monterey Cinema in the heart of Howick Village My favourite is Lamb Shanks. Reasonable prices and all the dishes are very tasty and very well prepared. The friendly staff will make you feel very welcome.

Amazing breakfast and service. Even though it was very busy it was not the annoying loudness that you often get. I had the buttermilk pancakes and they were delicious both to the eyes and the mouth. Would definitely recommend and go again.

This is definitely one of my fav places to eat. I had lunch with a friend, staff are always so accommodating. The food, regardless of the dish is always so well presented and just delicious. I had the pulled pork tacos and my friend had the club sandwich and both were yum. I have to say the eggs bene are definitely a must too. Actually no complaints about any of the food I have eaten there :) Would highly recommend trying them.

Our absolute favourite cafe in Howick. The food is tasty and presented immaculately (almost to pretty to eat!). The staff are lovely and make superb All Press coffee. So good. Thank you for all of your efforts!! You are our go to cafe every week. Keep up the excellent service here in Howick.

The food and coffee are quite nice at this cafe, however my dining experience here today was much to be desired. The staff were rude to me, the service was terribly slow and I would be hesitant to return again. I was dining with a group of friends and it took the wait staff at least 10-15 minutes to come and take our order. The drinks did not come out at the same time, nor did the food. We were dining with kids and my 3 year old had to sit and wait over 30 minutes for a smoothie, watching the rest of the table eat and drink. I chased the staff up 3 times only to be told it's coming. When eventually it did come, half an hour later, it was time to leave. I asked for a takeaway cup, only to be told by the rude cashier, I should order my drink in a takeaway cup next time! I was not impressed. Update August 2020: Following the above experience I received an apology from the manager about the service I received. She assured me this is not their standard which I believe as I have been there and enjoyed my time since her apology. Their food and coffee are great and I will continue to return as it's a good location, nice food and a comfortable atmosphere. It's a shame I did experience bad service initially but my return post their apology has been consistently good.

Great local great food and presentation. However try to avoid their cabinet food and treats. 1/10. Not sure if they make in house. Had and orange Almond cake that had been pre frozen and disgusting. Otherwise a great breakfast.

I had my first dining experience at the Howick Village Cafe on Friday night as part of a large group booking and I was really impressed! They managed the flow of meals really well, the staff were having fun and never looked flustered and the food was on point! I had always assumed that it was more of a coffee shop with muffins and sandwiches so I was actually amazed at the huge menu of meals, and also how beautifully plated they were..... a definite case of food envy seeing other people's meals arrive at the table! A lovely and popular place in Howick, right beside the Montery Cinemas. This place can get pretty busy everyday so come early or if you're dining with friends, book before hand to ensure a spot. I've only been here during brunch, but they're food is definitely a treat for your eyes and palate. Their food presentation is spot on and perfect for the 'gram'. Portion wise, it looks pretty small but surprising filling for a moderate eater. I'd recommend this place definitely for the tasty food and atmosphere, but this place can get pretty busy.

I rarely put 5 stars but I love this place. Every single time we have been (that’s been quite a bit) we have never been disappointed. This place opened up shortly before we moved out of the area which really sucked because we were incredibly taken back by the quality of the food and the service that brought it out. It is a great endorsement to see staff genuinely proud of the food they put on your table. They do the good stuff great, they don't mess with the flavours of the classics, but they do spend a bit of time on making sure it looks good on the plate. It is regularly busy so bookings would be a good idea for more than two people (especially on Saturdays when the village market is on around the corner).

Great place next to the Monterey Cinemas in Howick. Lots of parking available. Food is great and tasty, has both the usual cabinet food and kitchen menu. Kitchen menu is surprisingly a little bit fine dining like for a cafe but still good portion sizes. Was around $45 for my wife and I, both had a large hot drink and mains each for lunch. There are some toys here and a kids menu for those with little ones. Staff were friendly and very prompt at clearing tables of dirty dishes, food came out in good time. Good atmosphere here, busy but well run.

Great menu and friendly wait staff. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t quite live up to expectation given the menu descriptions or the photos on their Facebook page. I had the salmon poke bowl and my partner had the potato hash cakes. The salmon in the poke bowl was fine but the rest of the dish was a disappointment. The rice was wet and gluggy with just a small amount of some unidentifiable brown sauce on it that didn’t impart any flavour at all. Aside from that, there were no other sauces or seasoning in the dish leaving it a bowl of raw chopped vegetables, plain rice with an acceptable piece of salmon for $24 dollars. The pretty presentation did not make up for the poor execution of this dish. I recommend strongly heading to the poke bowl outlet in Newmarket to learn how a poke bowl should be done. My partners hash cakes were similarly disappointing with the size of meal more that of a kids meal, dry cakes, over cooked eggs and again nothing in the way of sauces to finish off the flavour and give some moisture to the meal. Both dishes were dry and flavourless. overall a disappointment and unlikely to return.
