Nice Mango slushys, however they didnt have any big pearls avail on opening so opted for mini pearls which cost the same. Quite expensive but they do taste good. Outdoor area avail although it looked dirty and needed cleaning up.

Hulucat is my favourite place to get bubble tea.
The prices are fairly reasonable compared to other competitors in the city, and the flavouring is strong rather than watered down. About one month ago, the prices for all of the bubble tea options at Hulucat seemed to have decreased by one dollar, which makes it more affordable and competitive.
I like the convenient location of this Hulucat. Beware, the shop may seem closed due to the construction work happening outside but it is still open - you just need to use the side door.

(Note: This was a while (few months) back so details may be incorrect or outdated, but thought I should leave a review as I forgot to do so previously)
Haven't had too much bubble tea in my time (no bubble tea shops where I live until recently), but it was a straightforward and enjoyable experience, and the tea tasted good, so I'm happy. I got the green apple tea with pearls, and my family got various other flavours. (My brother and father had the jelly and pudding options and did not enjoy them that much, but that was more of a personal preference than anything wrong with the drinks themselves.) I am planning to come here again when we are next in Auckland (:

My favourite Taro tea with Pearl's at Hulucat 🥰
I can personalise the sweet and ice levels, quick service and friendly staff. Tastes the way I have ordered as it can be quite sweet in general, but by personalizing the sweet level makes it purrfect for me to visit again and again ❤

I love the rose iced tea from here - it’s delicious! However the place itself is a little run down and when people smoke in the seating area it is almost unbearably strong. I recommend the Botany branch if you’d like a place to sit and enjoy.
B.
There are thousands of combinations possible for tea in this place. They have tasty bubble tea and coffee options. You can choose pearl size and gelatin cubes to add to the tea. However, service is somewhat slow compared to other places.

My favourite bubble tea place in auckland :) store always smells delicious and the drinks are spectacular no matter what flavour i get. I'd reccomend hot chocolate tea with large pearls during hot days and the ice lemon black tea during summer. Make sure you bring your stamp card tho because they dont combine stamps from multiple cards

We loved them, they have a lot a lot of different flavors and combinations so many that is even hard to decide, but they only have one size and it is really big , we hardly almost finish the whole thing.

I had the pearl tea milk thing, and it was fantastic! cool service too. I am studying Mandarin, so it was an exciting journey to test out the skills lol

On the pricey side for Milk Tea. I recommend their Taro Milk Tea ($7 Large without topping). The sugar amount was still a little sweet at 50%, I wouldn't recommend going any higher than that. Toppings coat an extra $1 would recommend either the bubbles or jelly.
Not a place I'd frequent but the Taro Milk tea has a unique taste which is a good change from the standard milk tea. Recommend adding a topping to offset the sweetness of the drink.

Very good Japanese green tea with egg pudding. Nice outdoor seating. Receptionist is friendly.

Love testing new drinks. You can request for less sugar and ice for cold drinks. First timers should choose from the chart. Be sure to get a stamp card for a discounted drink! Both CBD locations could use larger, cosier sitting areas. A take away experience is best.

The honey tea with aloe vera pieces tasted great, but the poor customer service attitude is really off-putting. The kept mumbling and had an offended expression whenever I asked if they could repeat what they said. I hope the customer service improves in the future.

A lot items were sold out on their featured menu on two separate days when we came in, so we didn't get to try what we really wanted. Service wasn't stellar, but passable. Product is very good though. For international travelers, be aware that they do not accept credit. Debit or cash only.

Went to Rosedale one. Nice environment, tasty bubble tea. However, the receptionist was very rude. She did not greet me or even speak to me when I placed my order nor when she served me my drink ⍨⃝

I was introduced to Hulucat by the brother who said, "You haven't lived until you've tried the Chocolate oatmeal drink!"
Up until recently, Gong Cha was my bubble milk tea vendor of choice. It maintained its consistency until a recent change in their tea recipes left me gagging from very perfume-heavy teas and varying degrees of tea strength and sweetness.
Hulucat is not exactly well advertised, hiding behind the Civic in town and right next to another tea store. But if you go right around the corner, you'll come across the store.
The menus are advertised boldly on the doors and on the walls as well as on a digital monitor above the cashier. You pick your drink and place your order and state the "percentage" of sugar and ice that you want in your drink. Stores may vary in regards to their percentage but there is a usual 50% sweet or 30% ice so that your drink does not get overly watered down when the ice melts.
There are several tables that you can sit at while sipping your drinks. Unfortunately, they are not smokefree so do expect the occasional cloud of smoke in your face. Thankfully, when we were there on the weekend, it was quite hot in the sun and there were no smokers.
Drinks are pleasant enough and has the consistency that Gongcha used to provide. I will be heading here for my drinks in future.

Poor service. We waited a while for our drinks even though there weren’t other customers there. They were all out of what I asked for, so had to get something else. Asked for a recommendation and the woman at the counter didn’t really have a suggestions. Drinks were just OK.
k.
Vaguely overpriced. They often run out of some of the flavors, service is not particularly friendly, and it is fairly slow. There is also ALWAYS a few people smoking outside so the whole sitting area just smells like second hand smoke.
Y.
Lots of milk tea options. 6 little tables to sit outdoors.
P.
Good boba, however very dirty
