One of my favourite dishes is also the chicken salad. They also have great coffees and fresh juices and a beautiful cabinet.
j.A great place to meet up with friends for a coffee. Vaccine pass must be shown to be served which I have no problem with. Great coffee.
K.Very nice cafe with a dynamic and friendly crew. The dishes were well dressed and delicious. It's a little bit expensive but you know what you are paying for.

Only thing stopping this place from 5 stars was the fact the coffee came after the meal and they dont serve mimosa’s to the boys at 10am on a dusty sunday!
J.Jam Organic Cafe was a pleasant pit stop for us after walking the Milford to Takapuna Beach Trail. Lovely presentation on the Jam Style Eggs (pictured here with salmon), although the poach was slightly overdone.
On a warm day like today, and after a long trek on the trail, I also would have very much enjoyed a glass of cool water. Instead, the water on offer in the pitchers was quite warm.
Despite that, there was plenty of seating available in shade and partial shade, and service was friendly and prompt. I would easily return to try other bites or a coffee.
T.We visited on Sunday Mother Day and the shop was really busy. Lovely customers services and yummy food. Coffee is a must.
The creamy mushroom is one of the best.

J.Pretty and busy little cafe in takapuna, packed during brunch and lunch time on a weekday nonetheless! Really popular. They extend their seats outside so it's pretty great during summer. Just watch out for the birds though... I like that their hot beverages also come with a tiny jaffa chocolate. Adorable.
C.During our visit we accidentally spilt a drink on our table. One of the staff went above and beyond to help us clean up.
Ordered the protein pancakes, eggs benedict, almond smoothie and a mochaccino. Food tasted great and service was on time.

M.Jam is a nice small organic cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. They do get busy on summery weekend days. They have lots of cabinet food to choose from. They make amazing ice chocolates and nice breakfast/lunch. I had their mine on toast, super tasty and I also love their halomi cheese salad. Really nice eggs Benedict too.
E.Limited menu but great service and prices. Iced chocolate is delicious! Beware the birds that hang around outside.

P.Didn't live up to my expectations.
I can apreciate that they dont offer avocado off season, but to advertise it as a vegan option then replace it with feta is a bit strange. I couldn't justify ordering a bagel with 1 spread, tomato and lettuce at such a high price. A server came up to me to tell me another vegan option after I had finished my order and paid. I didnt enjoy my coffee and had to add another sugar to combat the bitterness and there was quite a lot of grounds at the bottom.
The seating ran out so we wanted to take our coffee outside of where the area they serve to until a table became availble (30 minute wait for food). This wasnt allowed, which was fine, but the staff repeated herself approx. 3 times, the first 2 times yelling down at me, even after i acknowledged what she said and began moving my belongings up. Id rather go to a cafe where Im not treated like an incompetent child.
The are square from the cabinet was yummy and the outside seating area was nice. The people I was with enjoyed their food.
L.What a place! The venue is in a good spot, really close to the beach. It's quite open plan, and while it's often busy, it offers a lot of seating.
The food is clean, full of different combinations of organic flavours. If you think you dislike oatmeal, give it one last run for its money and try their bowl, it's rather fantastic! Or if you're up early and after a hearty breakfast, try the big breakfast with mushrooms, bacon, eggs and hash browns!
H.Good food and coffee but service is pretty average. Had to beg almost for sugar for my coffee, cutlery weren't readily provided so had to hunt it down ourselves. Not really what we pay to serve ourselves as it's not the cheapest brunch place in town.

M.It is a popular place especially on Saturday mornings! You see families w young kids, the newspaper readers, the work out prople and the dog walkers.It is in a very nice and pleasant location, with tables inside and outside. Food is very tasty and fresh, made of organic produce. It can take a while to get ready, but it is worth the wait and you won't be bored while waiting.
D.Great coffee, the barista knows what he is doing. Chefs are also great and vegan options available. Good service and perfect spot to enjoy a meal in outdoors/cool environment.
Y.New fave place to eat in Takapuna. The food was to die for; service immaculate and portion sizes on point! Celebrated my birthday breakfast here and left as a very happy customer. If you're ever in Takapuna make sure to stop by for some great tasting coffee and food. If I could score higher I would.

S.Unfortunately the day we went was their last trading day of the year (pre christmas 2016) and they were out of over half of items on their menu. Can't really blame them for this but not the ideal first experience after hearing many good things about the place. Would definitely go back on a normal trading day to give it another go. The smashed avocado is worth a go. Beautifully poached eggs.
T.The quinoa fritters are excellent. Avocado smash was a bit of a let down, avocado tasted a bit funny and found the toast was burnt underneath. Staff were very nice, very quick service for Sunday afternoon. Overall a 3.5.

A.If you aren't looking for anything spectacular and less than average service you won't mind it here. The Jam style eggs are great, when they don't take an hour to come out on a non busy non peak time day.
m.Excellent flat white as is always the case with Velvet Espresso. Can't fault it for the umpteenth time. Brownie was great as well, nice and fudge like without being gooey.
