J.Delightful cafe beer garden set in a lovely garden centre. A pleasure to walk thru garden centre and beautiful gift ware area to reach cafe. Easy parking and lots of handicap parking for the elderly. Small range of sweet and savoury in the cabinet but a full menu range of food which was beautifully arranged in a colourful display. Coffee was made exactly to request. Tables well spaced out in the outside area which was so nice as to not be bothered by those who don't know about cafe voice level etiquette! Recommend this place for food setting ambience.
S.Nice setting inside Kings Plant Barn. Spacious entertainment for kids. Also love the fact it is a pet friendly place. Staff were friendly the food was good. Only took sometime for the orders to arrive.
S.It is such a bold move to maintain a café near all the competition, including the original Bird on a Wire and Palmers' Café Greenfingers. Despite its location, this café is not only very successful, but also very nice. The service is amazing, the food is high quality and the prices are reasonable. Yes, the children near the little play area outside can be loud, but they just add more to the charm of this place. I can't wait to visit again soon when the sun is shining.
L.Excellent coffee and I love the cooked menu - great portions and delicious! But the best bit is the caravan full of kids toys and the trampoline!! So easy to take the kids here when they can entertain themselves!!
A.Huge shout out to the team especially to Leanne and the Manager, Kaith! I organised a baby shower for my job for a bunch of us ladies and from the first email they were very accomodating and allowed me to choose a menu style that suited the team. Answered all of my emails and queries quickly too.
Yesterday arvo we celebrated the baby shower and honestly have no complaints at all. The food was delicious and considering that there was 22 of us eating (5 different food options too), we all got our meals within 10 minutes of the first meals being served. Quality wasn’t compromised either considering how many meals had to be made in a short time span and the presentation for each dish was pretty. The chefs made gorgeous big pink and blue cupcakes for each guest to eat and they let us make a huge ruckus while playing our crazy games haha! We were in the cafe during closing hours which made it even more special because we got the entire cafe to ourselves.
My biggest thanks to the team! I’m so glad I reached out and decided to go with you guys. Would definitely come back for just brunch or to even host an event here again ❤️❤️❤️
L.Love this spot, great food and coffee. Outside seating can get very hot as it is inside the nursery but would be great in winter. Inside seating is ample and comfortable. Staff is friendly, will be back often!
T.This place is new and the food is absolutely delicious, one of my favourite places in this area. A unique experience dining in a kings plant barn, but definitely worth it for the food.
J.We had a family lunch here, weather was shocking but we managed to stay dry. The staff were friendly and brought us a heater to keep us warm. A pleasant environment for kids with toys and a play caravan but most of all good food!

A.This place is family friendly. A caravan packed with toys kept kids busy in the covered open space while we could relax and sip our coffee. Food is of good presentation and packed with flavour. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Cafe manager was proactive looking after us even during peak hours. Facility is quite new: changing table is provided at the toilet. Pathway is designed for anyone on wheels. This place can be very full at lunch time over weekend.
T.Great place and the team of staff are lovely. Even better is there is a kids' play area and the outside cafe is dog friendly. Always enjoy coming with friends and family with or without dogs. Somehow I don't understand why some grumpy old people go and sit at the outside cafe area and complain about dogs barking and kids playing. Stop being so rude to dog owners and kids. Go somewhere else if you don't like how great this kids & dog friendly the cafe is!
J.Great service and food. I had the tandoori quinoa salad which was very yummy and my husband loved his poached eggs on toast with creamy mushrooms and homemade hash browns
S.The coke came with a frozen glass, but was warm. Fries were from Agria potatoes but served with aioli. I asked for ketchup but got tomato sauce with. No salt and pepper and no 🍴 luckily I'm okay with using my hands.
F.I loved the orange cake, the coffèe tasted great, I got them to put a shot of caramel inside, my large cup, incidentally I would also recommend the KG cafe on their prices, they were at least $2 dollars cheaper on each item I ordered, and their staff, smiling and friendly. Hot dayum deliciousness.
S.Deliciousness in a bowl for lunch. Salmon salad labneh bowl. Nice and light and tasty. Arrived promptly with follow up service for beverage checks etc. Great place to meet for lunch

However some of the prices DO NOT represent value for money unfortunately. For example $6.50 for a small handful of fries I think is a bit excessive Garden Cafe. Yes potatoes have skyrocketed in price but geez be reasonable!

I.Great location and setting, top quality coffee and food, and friendly staff. A great end to a walk around Orakei Basin and a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.
C.Great cafe and love the "Push the Boat Out" big breakfast. Kitchen closes at 2:30pm though but cabinet food and drinks are still available.
