Reviews of Little Algiers
L.
First time for us here but we were at KJ framers picking up some more frames from Ken
So we thought we'd pop over 2 doors down to little algiers for breakfast
Great food and customer service! We loved it, Frankie loved her toast! We will be back 😍
S.
Ordered big Little Algiers breakfast and French toast and coffee.
Good food, nice ambience. We sat at the backyard.
Loved the coffee!
Will surely visit again.
R.
Amazing Cafe stop in the city. The food is great and the owner is always very warm and friendly. The food is very competitively priced ($13 big breakfast in Auckland?!) but can take a while to come as the owner mostly runs it by himself. The coffee is done well, but can run a little hot if their busy.
Would definitely recommend giving it a visit. Will be stopping in again to try their burgers.
O.
Always nice to go there for a Morning breakfast/ brunch. Very good service and Vibes, Food and coffee‘s are delicious also very good value for your money.
My favorite Go to Cafe on Karangahape road.
Cheers

Lovely staff, so funny, great little place, good prices for great food, try it out. Seating includes comfy chairs and wooden chairs as well as a small outdoor courtyard. Great decoration to look at also. Definitely family friendly.

I popped around to have a look at this spot just on a whim really. It's a small-ish place that looks very unassuming -- really just an old place that is someone's rainshelter??? I was pleasantly surprised to find that this establishment had a very friendly and genuinely joyful owner who provided wonderful service. The food was comforting and homely at a great price. Nothing super fancy or flashy, just a cosy space, a friendly face, and a good warm meal. Loved the experience :)

5 star service, 5 star food at 2 star prices. Incredibly good value for AKL central.
Pleasing and unpretentious decor, prompt delivery of food and unique menu items.
I cannot recommend this place enough.
Favourite menu item is the potato hash brekkie.
P.
Possibly best breakfast of my life! In town for four days and had the big breakfast three times (would have had four but I assumed it was closed on a public holiday so didn't try).
Scrambled eggs, chicken, potatoes all to perfection. Super lovely guy running the place and I discovered Magic 100.6 from it playing there. Best.
H.
Nice food, outstanding service, you will leave this place with à smile on your face

Called in on a whim as a carpark became available right outside. Had the Little Algiers Mezze and what a great dish. Absolutely loved it and loads of flavor. The owner is such a delight and service and coffee was outstanding..not to mention pricing is very reasonable. Thank you so much

WOW! The quality of the food and the deliciously strong coffee at Little Algiers cannot be topped! Stopped by for a quick coffee and scrambled eggs on toast... Absolute heaven.
As others have mentioned, the cafe has a great energy about it, and the owner/barista is so friendly and really knows his craft.
Keep up the amazing work!!
G.
Great energy and space, a very local feel. Great menu with fun dishes and great value, $13ish for a Benedict or full breakfast, Algerian bean and tomato stew with poached egg and sausages and the Mezze dishes sounded great. Coffee not at the artisanal level but still nice
E.
A little gem of a cafe, great prices, tasty meals, good coffee and friendly staff.
What's not to love.
D.
Just an old house but now makes incredible coffee at the hands of staff that can entertain and look after you completely.
Food tastes as good as it smells and the description of cosy is an understatement.
Definite five star
B.
The coffee is great, there’s a nice comfortable atmosphere, the food is incredibly good value for the location, and the owner is welcoming and charismatic.
R.
Great food and great service with a bit of charisma all at a reasonable price.
I ordered a king size beef burger with an extra egg and asked if I could have hollandaise on it, to which he said absolutely and told me to take a seat. Would definitely recommend!!
A.
Such a sweet little cafe! Exceptionally warm & friendly service, such delicious food (I got the potato hash w poached eggs and fresh hollandaise - SO tasty) and the value for money is like nothing else you’d ever find in this area. Literally the epitome of “cheap and cheerful”. Little Algiers has become an instant favourite, will definitely be back again soon!
S.

Delicious food, excellent coffee, awesome pricing and great banter from the owner Jamal. What’s not to love? The best big breakfast in Auckland
A.

Absolutely Charming!
Beautiful wait staff and an incredibly charming Frenchman who will not only welcome you but he will also cook you up a storm. The menu here is delicious, try the cassoulet!
Prices are more than fair and you wont be dissapointed with menu options. Nothing is too much trouble in this cosy, well presented and friendly place. There really is nothing like this in Auckland so far I've seen.
Thank you for always remembering to ask about the eggs!

Tres bien

(Translated) A cafe in Auckland with a relaxed atmosphere. The owner chef talks about the French colony. Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia etc. come out. I feel nostalgic even though I've hardly known anything like Albert Camus and MJQ jazz numbers. I've been there once.
