My family and I come here often. Coffee is good. We love the blueberry muffin and the food off the menu. Staff are friendly and we have never had issues. Fingers crossed that it stays that way as we live just walking distance from the cafe.

The best muffin I've had in literal years. It's huge, it's tasty, it's fresh. Crispy outside and inside soft and moist. Had one yesterday and had to go back for more today! Staff also lovely! Coffee good!

Very conveniently situated with modern decor and a warm friendly ambience. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We ordered the Smash and the 3 Egg Omelette which was tasty, fresh and full of flavour. I SWEAR THE FOOD AT THIS CAFE IS AMAZING, particularly the salads. Portion size is worth the money unlike other cafes The scenery is gorgeous also. I have gone back a few times just to have their salads. Great service and food is served fairly quick. Quality is absolutely amazing. Alot of parking out the back too. Highly recommend. A++++++

New place close to where we are, eo thought we'd check it out. Such a great find!! We loved the food! This mushroom on toast had a but of a twist. It had radish, pickled onions, rocket and shaved carrot. I don't usually like radish but all of it went so well together! And the sunny side up egg, liie a cherry on top! Love it! Highly recommended! The pork belly was also delicious, just wished there was more of it!

First impression of this little café was excellent. I absolutely loved the way the interior was decorated. The ambience was cozy and welcoming. Workers also very friendly and had initiative. A wide range of dishes to choose from and presentation is very pretty! Overall, had a wonderful experience.

Easily the best cafe in the area! Friendly staff and always willing to listen to suggestions. Convenient location with covered parking behind the cafe. Inside was spacious and comfortable, they offer a kids menu so it was great for families. Came with my wife and son and I ordered the market fish with kumara rosti, sauteed spinach, lime hollandaise and mango salad. The fish (Tarakihi I think) was cooked to perfection, enjoyed every bite! Would recommend to all and definitely be back again.

Lovely little place where I had Mothers Day brunch. Maybe because it was Mothers Day or because of the size of the establishment, it was very very busy with people lining up outside. On special occasions it might be a good idea to pre book a table, which it was evident this morning and made alot of sense. There was a wonderful selection and variety of meals available and each dish seemed to sway to the healthy side of things. They serve both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages to cater to everyone from children to adult. Prices are fair to middling. It is the kind of place you should try at least once and decide for yourself, if it is for you. Bon Appetit peeps!!! UPDATE - 24/2 Had a lovely relaxing lunch today. Wasn't overcrowded at all. Food is as good as ever. It seems like everyone dining in today aren't too worried about what's going on out in the big bad world with omicron. They were still able to enjoy the company of their friends over lunch. Very relaxed atmosphere, but still playing by the rules.

Very nicely designed and decorated café, gives off very good vibes as the windows are all so wide and open, the sun can beautifully greet you good morning while you are having a delicious coffee. Love the inviting and fresh decor - Melba have a good range of options for varied diets, with a reasonable veggie range too. Can customise dishes for vegan option. Loved the smoothies! And the flavours were a combo of light and impactful.

Tried to book for Mothers day. Were told they were not taking bookings. Turned up mid morning and got a table after a a short wait. Had just finished our mains and about to order a second round of coffees and treats and we were told we had to leave to make way for customers with bookings! Food was good, coffee average. Not as good as Melba Vulcan Lane.

Compare to other melba cafe this one is the best. Me and my friend love the dessert and coffee. The burger and the Cross cut fries was spot on. Definitely going back again. Also recommend for those who have children. Got a little corner for children to play while parents are chatting and enjoying the coffee.

Great selection of drinks, there iced chocolate is amazing. Service is quick and easy to order. Very child friendly when we have bought kids along. It has been a couple of weeks since we visited MELBA Hillsborough and I apologise for taking so long to write this review as I had told the staff that day that I was going to write one because I was so impressed with our experience. My mother is wheel chair bound and it does make social occasions quite a challenge because we have discovered that a number of venues deem parking as their only obligation. However Melba has truly set the bar high because they have proper disabled facilities from the parking, the access in to and around the inside of the cafe, and the bathroom facilities too. On top of that their food and service is genuinely amazing, and we truly felt welcome too. I must also mention that mum is usually quite limited with what she can eat and how much, so when her food arrived I knew she was going to enjoy it and thought I was going to get her left overs, instead she managed to polish off the whole plate, which goes to show how good the food is lol. Commendations to your staff and the owners because you have created the winning formula for a 5 star experience. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou!

I always order the chicken and waffles in melba. This cafe is very easy to find and has available parking in the back. The place has a very nice interior. We choose to seat inside and the ambience was great. The cafe was not noisy which for me is a great place to have brunch with friends.

Being here twice so far. Food is ok not great like other cafes I've tried. Inside is very stylish. Parking in the lot is not enough space since there are other business that use the space also. Few staff could be a bit more enthusiastic.

Always super clean, but cleaning the floors when customers are still eating really is not the best idea- the smell of the bleach put me off my food :( the cafe shuts a 4pm , but staffed seemed very eager to shut at 3pm! made me feel rushed.
