Reviews of Olaf's Artisan Bakery Cafe
b.
Busy spot on a Saturday morning but worth the effort. Service was good and we didn't have to wait long for our meals or coffee. Bit of a diy assembly job for the smelt bagel but that's no biggie. Our group of four were all pleased with meals.
T.
Have always had great coffee here until today. They got the lady with black hair whom I know for sure is not a barista making coffee. (Last time she dropped hair in my food 😢) She just randomly poured over heated milk into a cup weather it’s a cappuccino or flat white. There’s no different. Can you please make sure you have a good barista making the coffee? Nobody wants to pay $5 for a bad coffee. On the other side, blueberry tart is very yum and worth a try
M.
I used to rave about their blueberry tarts but I bought one today and it was disappointing. The crust was slightly soggy and the custard to blueberry ratio was so off. I just had a whole mouthful of custard and barely any blueberries. Not sure if the recipe or chef changed but it was much better before.
R.
Kind and thoughtful staff. Attentive to cleaning tables, supplying water etc. Prompt to take order for coffee and food. We were not hungry and Olaf's were ok to let us share roasted sandwich. The simplicity does not prepare one for the explosion of delicious flavour when you take the first bite. We will be back to try other menu items...
A.
We stopped in for a smoothie, coffee and a bite to eat. Everything was good but I have to comment further on the IMPECCABLE customer service! We were greeted at the door by a lovely waitress, the other waitress who also served us was brilliant. We were well taken care of right down to the moment we paid our bill and left. Also a special mention of how wonderful it was to hear te reo Māori being used. Ngā mihi! Highly recommend this business to all.
K.
Had a wonderful time coming to Olaf's which was just across the road from the popular cheesecake café, Fraser's.
The service from the staff was really amazing, as it was quick and they came across as very friendly. The food and coffe came out really fast and I was impressed by both the coffee and the sandwich.
A good place to come with friends and family at anytime.
N.
What amazing staff!! The care for their customers is so needed!! Now a days I have found hospo staff to be rude and sulky!! Not Olafs!! Always smiling, friendly and 10/10 care!! + best coffee ever!!!!
O.
Place with relaxing vibe. Employees seem to enjoy being part of place even though it is pretty busy often. Tasty patisserie and bread. Very nice coffee. All in easy going decorative ambience. It is great starting or finishing point for Mt Eden hill with beautiful views over Auckland.
S.
Went in for some poached eggs and iced chocolate while my brother had the gourmet breakfast and iced mocha with shared duck fat wedges. Both meals were delicious and served within a good amount of time. The staff were beyond friendly and very helpful and sweet! I was not quite a fan of the cinnamon in the iced chocolate but it was still enjoyable. Both breakfasts were delightful! We will definitely be coming back here to try the other items on the menu and maybe some cabinet food! Great place to eat and relax :-)
H.
Delicious food, amazing friendly staff
紐.
They have the best blueberry tarts plus these tarts have the most blueberries on top compared to other shops. There is no other cake shop that puts so many blueberries. There are a lot of varieties of bread and dessert to chooses from, their coffee is also very rich in flavour I highly recommend you go visit this place.
G.
I had the most amazing blueberry tart here. The tart itself looks pretty big, but was amazingly easy to consume. The sweetness of the tart was perfect, not overly sweet like the usual tarts you get in NZ.
The blueberries were coated in a thin layer of what I could only describe as sweet jelly, which help remove the sourness. The cream was very light and has a smooth consistency, which makes the tart very easy to eat and won't make you feel heavy after eating one. The crust was crispy, but not too crumbly. Everything about this tart was just fantastic!
Oh and also tried some of the breads here, they were quite good as well.
L.
milk chocolate tart and the ice chcolate (was very rich but that's on me for the order) milk chocolate tart was amazing and the ice chocolate- you could tell they used real chocolate in it not too sweet but deliciously rich and thick- great service
A.
Ummmm YES! I can only review the bread at this point but by jolly, is it delicious! A must-visit for fresh bread lovers 🥖 🍞 ✨
C.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great staff. Its always nice to see a restaurant where you can tell that the staff is happy and excited to be at work. The selection of food was vast and was good. Pancakes were delish. They also sell bread that they bake on site behind the counter (so you can hit two birds with one stone with your bread shopping and brunch). The atmosphere is nice however may get a bit nosy during busy times inside, as the tables are quite closed to one another (so its a bit cozy). We would definitely go back if we are around the area.
A.
From the food to the little touches of things for the boys to play with this was a wonderful brunch! So friendly and completely delicious!
L.
Love everything about this place.
Friendly service.
Excellent sandwhich.
Great coffee
B.
A bight &, breezy Cafe with delish food with a middle eastern feel. Staff are friendly &, good selection of food.
S.
Nice sour dough bread, almond crossant was pretty good too. Will definetly go again. Friendly staff.
V.
Cosy space, food is nicely presented on the plate, food comes faster than coffee. Don’t come in rush hours though: staff is too fussy, there are too many of them. They cross each other, look worried and make you feel worried :(
H.
Yummmmm ... sweet corn feitters delicious .. but first first visit the creamy mushrooms are a must blody delicious .. fantastic cafe in Epsom
S.
This would be five stars as their food is unreal but unfortunately I think I've had my worst ever hot chocolate here. They use what appears to be Belgian chocolate and it just tastes like warm milk with the faintest hint of choc.
Would absolutely come back for the food though.
H.
My mother and I shared a lovely light breakfast with coffee. The salmon bagel was Devine and the coffee was good. Wait staff made it a 6 star experience, bubbly energetic and friendly!
M.
A chic bakery in Mt Eden village. Great food and services, their mushroom is a must try!
B.
My 1st experience and a very enjoyable one. The restaurant was busy, the service and food spot on. I highly recommend Olaf's. Another top eating house to add to my list.
F.
Thank you so much for staying open during level 4, and for deliveries of your amazing goodies! My flatmates and I just enjoyed your baguettes, almond croissant (with so many almonds!!!) and pau chocolat 😍 Thanks again 🙏🏽
A.
A very nice local bakery. Lovely breads! Brunches are very nice too.
A.
Good food, excellent coffee, prompt and friendly service. Can be quite busy (eg, weekend brunch) but they don't keep you waiting long.
E.
Good vibes :) Haven't tried bakery but it looked nice. Breakfast seemed slightly overpriced, I ordered eggs Benedict with salmon – the sauce was too oily. Coffee is gooood!
N.
Great breads and outstanding hospitality. Ok breakfast menu but a bit overpriced. I ordered egg benedict with salmon which cost around $20+ and got only one bread for it in a big plate. Salmon was a bit itchy for my tounge. Coffee is alright but can be improve.
d.
Relaxed atmosphere, not too busy. Staff were friendly and efficient. Coffee was good. Gourmet breakfast was good, especially the pork and fennel sausage. Overall great experience and you can watch them bake the bread whilst you eat.
S.
Great food. Their Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich is incredible and their bread is great. Their Vinschgauer Rolls are also great. Highly recommend for lunch or brunch
D.
My favourate coffee and pastry in Auckland. The pastry not too sweet and always fresh.
J.
Great service. The food excellent especially the bread. Well worth a visit and for cyclists there is a bike rack and you can sit close by. We'll be back.
P.
Love this joint...amazing people n good food
L.
Blimey this is a taste sensation. It's Aston Martin prices and quality. You'll not be disappointed with anything they serve. Cakes and pastry food all of the highest quality. OMG it's good. Too good!
R.
Great food and service. The artisan breads are amazing!
J.
Good friendly service. Had some scones as well. Nice n fresh.
b.
Great food, especially their bread. Their mushrooms were to die for. The service felt rushed but we didn't mind it as the food made up for it.
M.
Had a great late lunch at Olafs Artisan Bakery. We arrived within minutes of the kitchen closing and the staff did a fantastic job of ensuring our orders were taken in time to get done. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this cafe.
T.
Nice vibe. Cakes are bit dissapointing. Coffee isn't that strong. Overall enjoyable place :)
G.
Good coffee, great tarts, sunny outdoor morning seating.
H.
Great cafe, great service. The mushroom is a must try !
H.
Had a really great experience at Olaf's. A couple of friends and I were just hanging out for a couple of hours in the sun, not being pushed to leave or anything. Had a lovely lunch and drinks, and ended the occasion with some delicious fresh bread to take home.
M.
Great Bakery, and Café
but no "German Bretzel" this is missing for 5 Stars
Keep up the good work
S.
Best cafe. Great coffee. Yummy foods.
A.
Amazing coffee and very friendly staff and manager :) would definitely recommend a flat white.
E.
Flat white bowl was delicious and creamy. Staff were all pleasant and managing despite the covid required social distancing. Wasn't hungry so didn't eat though the food around us looked great. Will be back soon but with an appetite.
W.
The food here is excellent, we come here often most definitely for the food and freshly baked bread .
However the coffee is a bit of let down , the micro foam isn’t thick and doesn’t hold its shape as a good flat white is supposed to, however I cannot stress enough the food is outstanding which will have me coming back time and time again.
The staff are friendly and helpful and don’t mind amending or adding to orders.
Just a side note this place is super busy especially on the weekends and I personally think they have 1 too many tables in the cafe which causes it to be quite cramped and hard to move around.
J.
Baked delights to die for. I'm a pushover for their fruit tarts. The service is always good - attentive without being pushy.
W.
Very friendly staff with good selection of food. Is one of the few cafes where you ate waited upon at table. Parking on street 60 minutes. Very clean toilets and lots of space inside and out.
J.
Excellent everytime and in every way. The bread, the cabinet food and the food from the menu are all fantastic. Best pastal de nata ever!
S.
So it says on their menu ‘eggs any style’ but they refused to do fried eggs without a yolk because “we don’t do changes to our menu” and “it’s too complex for our kitchen staff”
This place is going down hill, quantity does not match cost, albeit quality is still good (not great).
K.
Usually a great spot for their 'chococino' aka mocha, need to be more consistent with their coffees. What used to be a creamy coffee full of chocolate was a watered down version in my latest visit there. Great breads though!!
B.
Busy, but you can see why! Amazing breads, great coffee and pastries, and their hashbrowns were delicious.
M.
Great place for a nice breakfast. I'm not very big on choosing a bread but they have a huge selection to choose from.
B.
Always a pleasure visiting Olaf’s. They can be busy from time to time, but I’ve never had an unreasonable experience here - the staff are friendly and helpful, the service is prompt, there is a good selection of food and drink available, and the atmosphere is great. Will definitely be back!
E.
The food was on the creative side.
Main problem was the lady at the cashier. She was extremely rude. Ordered spaghetti for my wife who as at the table. I asked for Parmesan on the side “no” but with a disgusted look at me said “oh fine”. Then I ordered “for the kids”, two of whom were standing there with me and clearly under 6 years old, pizza. Looks blankly at me. “Adult size? Cause we have adults and kids size”. Ordered one more chocolate kids French toast “adult size?”
Anyway. Not impressed.
Food took more than an hour to arrive. When we checked half an hour in they scrambled around and said 10 minutes. However, I do have to admit that they gave complimentary coffee and croissant. This is the only reason I’m giving 3 star not 1...
A.
The friendly, welcoming staff make this place what it is! Intended to just pop by to pick up some bread, but the menu was so good we had to stay for breakie. Coffee was the best I've had in a long time, and came so quickly there was time for two. Will be our regular spot now!
B.
Interesting bread selection, I often come here for brunch and bring home some bread. You're able to try some of those (already in small piece on tasting plates) before you buy. Always busy so come early and try your luck, they don't take bookings. I also like their hot food menu which the portion size is good too.
D.
Lovely atmosphere and excellent customer service. Had mushroom and truffle oil and it was superb! My companion had Catalan chorizo and he was equally delighted by that. Bread was also nice. It's a good place to bring friends and family. Thanks
M.
I love this place! We've bought bread, had coffee and breakfast and none of those experiences disappointed. The proprietor is a lovely friendly German lady with oodles of energy and makes you feel so welcome. The vibe of this place is warm and welcoming and so is the food!
N.
One of the best breads in town. definitely a "Must Have" pastries and also amazing food. it's Mount Eden well-known secrets, not only for stopping by but for taking well... everything - to go. combine with very reasonable prices, but also nice big portions and a great atmosphere. One of my favourite breakfast stops.
C.
Amazing coffee, food and artisan bread! If you are in mount Eden village stop in and say hello to the friendly staff.
L.
Really nice cafe in Mt Eden. Easy parking, plenty of seating indoor & outdoor.
Great food, my poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Lentil & haloumi salad was legit.
Coffee 10/10.
Friendly waitresses & overall atmosphere was pleasant.
T.
Food looked and tasted so good I forgot to take a photo! Very decent prices, atmosphere was amazing and staff were the friendliest I’ve experienced in Auckland - everybody greeted us! Great way to start a sunny Sunday, thanks Olaf’s!
S.
Place above and beyond.
Super friendly and thoughtful staff
Food is just amazing. Olaf is definitely deserve it's status as an artisan bakery!
No wonder why they don't have a loyalty card... once you go there you are loyal!
And you'll come again no doubts, as my friends and I are, wherever we are within 2 km from it and looking for a coffee/snack/breakfast it always worth a walk or drive to OLAF
S.
Went with a friend for breakfast this place it quite busy
We were seated quite quickly though being in rush period
Our order for coffees were taken but we still were deciding on the breakfast menu
When a elder lady with short brown hair returned few min later to take our order instead of cleaning down the table she brushed away the crumbs with her hand onto the floor
My friend and i looked at each other as she mumbled taking our order
Service from other staff was ok
Breakfast was good and tasty presentable
Love the bakery too
But the decor and seating area needs fresh splash of paint and some renovations as wall seating is very old and stained
Felt quite dirty to us
Won't be back in a hurry though
J.
Love this place and great friendly staff!
T.
Great reliable cafe. Good coffee. They have blankets outside so good to sit outside on a cold day if you have a dog. Beware the ridiculously priced side of bacon they might so nonchalantly offer with various breakfasts. It is good bacon, but $7 seems too much.
A.
Nice spot with very friendly staff. Great and tasty options for a quick bite. Love their cake. If you have not done so already try their Sachertorte, an Austrian type of chocolate cake; "Sorry Mum, but Olaf beats yours!"
1.
Good service thank you,
But everyone was so stuck up ...
Felt plastic people everywhere
B.
Huge selection of lunch food. Most impressed. Very busy but didn't feel pushed. If you get the chance buy some of their yummy fig bread, spread w blue cheese and top w slices of pear. So good. I had it for lunch slightly warmed. Well worth a visit.
V.
Amazing selection of breads! Get there early to make sure you don't miss out.
N.
Great place to go in mount Eden. Nice coffee and their white espresso cake was to die for.
E.
Olaf is renowned for their artisan bread, however it is a little bit too pricey for their baked goods. For example an almond croissant for $6, even though it is a fairly large croissant and very tasty but it is a little bit too steep for a croissant.
On the other hand their breakfast and lunch is not as dearing, most of their item are at around $20 and the portion size is quite generous too. Quite like their scramble eggs with black truffle and toasted sour dough, simple yet very flavorful. Worth to mention the truffled mushrooms too.
G.
Enjoyed brunch on a Saturday morning. Busy but enjoyed good service once we got settled along with delicious food & coffee. Recommended.
P.
Visited 1 april 2019 between 11-12.
Everyone working was AMAZING, had positive attitudes, excellent customer service, was super accommodating.
The food was delicious, well priced for the quality, and there was so much on my plate I probably could have shared it with my friend- however I didnt want to because it was so tasty.
Yummy coffee :D
Cant wait to visit again!!
S.
Amazing place for a anything ranging from a quick catch up with your friends to enjoying breakfast/brunch/lunch with your family. The service provided by our waitress was excellent - she was so full of energy! Food was amazing as well. Looking forward to my next visit :D
P.
Having been to Olaf's a number of times I can confidently place them in the top 5 cafes I frequent in Auckland. Standouts include their wonderful staff who make guests so welcome, know regulars by name and deliver effortless and warm customer service.
Their selection of freshly baked bread is without doubt one of the very best. Their meals are fresh and delicious and the space provides good options for dining.
Hard to top Olaf's in Mt Eden Village for great food and a great vibe.
A.
Great food and coffee, yummy pastries, excellent service
D.
Good range of delicious food. Busy and noisy inside, hard to hold a conversation with your company.
L.
Pancakes were extremely disappointing. I would look for elsewhere if you’re a pancake lover. Coffee wasn’t to bad.
J.
I'm always delighted with the food at Olaf's. Just when I think I've found my absolute favourite on the menu and can happily have that every time I go, I try something else which is equally delicious. Case in point today- the zucchini and haloumi fritters. You take can't go wrong, and their bread and sweet treats (all made in-house) are also amazing. Definitely a local favourite!
T.
nice food, small but tasty. Good service
j.
Had a really nice coffee and brioche there. Very efficient and friendly service. Recommend going there.
P.
My fav cafe in Auckland - won't tell you my fav cabinet item because I don't want it to sell out before I get there... Try them all and see if you can guess - delicious.
Great vibe and always friendly and welcoming staff :)
S.
Lamb shoulder toast was too light but still bearable, the latte on the other hand was much worse. I would say that I make better coffee than they do. Place is quite cozy though.
M.
Great coffee. Great food. Great staff
T.
The food was delicious and the vibe was great. Staff were buzzing and oozing happiness. Will definitely be back when we are in Auckland.
S.
Very nice food, great staff who appear to enjoy their customers and have fun working together, even though it was late on a Sunday afternnon. A breathe of fresh air to get enjoyable waitresses who were so obliging.
S.
Good coffee, friendly staff. The place had a really nice ambiance, really enjoyed my breakfast! We had french toast and eggs bene both delicious.
P.
If you love mushrooms you must come here and try the truffle mushrooms - they are devine! Great coffee too. The only thing is, you need to pay when you order, I think this is because they get super busy!
S.
Olaf's is our local favourite. The pastries, bread and cakes are yummy. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming. We visit Olaf's at least once a week for consistently good coffee.
D.
Coffee and desserts are average. Good location: right next to mount eden road. Good place to go when Fraser's is packed. Think this place is known for its bread which I haven't tried.
m.
Efficient service, clean and airy. Enjoyed my food
S.
Hmmm, ordered the truffled mushrooms, but could not taste any hint of truffle... its a unique flavor. Good coffee, great service, but didn't quite do it for me.
A.
This place is definitely worth a try for some good breakfast. As you enter the cafe you will find a display of the artisan breads which do look tempting. The prices are pretty much the regular breakfast prices. I tried the chicken snitzel sandwich and my friend tried the roasted chicken sandwich. Both the sandwiches were well made and filling. The bread went well with the sandwich filling. The coffees we had were not the best we have in nz. This place is bustling with people in the morning.
My final verdict is that you should go and try out the breads.
M.
Had a great lunch today, staff nice, service great, interesting place, all the food looked fantastic, well impressed will deffo be going again ! Breakfast I think, the menu looks amazing.
l.
This place is ridiculously overpriced... even on a non-public holiday. It cost me almost $70 for two breakfasts and two coffees on April 25. I was told at reception if I want breakfast out on a public holiday, that's what I get. I'm not one for these surcharges as I don't think the public should be made to pay for business owners who won't pay to get their staff out on their days off - especially when they make hand over fist and don't pass on the additional profit. Anyway, my other complaint was that the meal took forever and was delivered without joy or hospitality. I would be surly too, working on a public holiday, but I would raise a smile knowing the poor sucker I am serving has just paid me in kind for an overpriced omelette and coffee. Advice: keep on going until you find Rad if you like great service dished up with your food.
N.
The service and coffee here is definitely 5 star. I can see why it’s always so busy in here too! I will definitely be back to try more from the delicious menu and cabinet food.
L.
Friendly atmosphere and good service. We had tea and coffee but there is a full mentee of what looked like delicious lunch items. Also a bakery with fresh bread.
A.
Get some bread here! Great selection and truly excellent. Coffe is good, the Reuben was a good choice. Oh! And they have nice fresh fruit smoothies with ricotta, well worth having.
B.
Great baked goods and friendly staff.
D.
I have been multiple times and the staff are just incredible! Food is out of this world and it has such a great energy. Best Cafe/Bakery in Auckland hands down.
C.
Beautiful food and good coffee. Have high chairs but no change table for little ones. Service was a little slow bit food was great. Perfect for a meal, small bite or sweet treat.
D.
Great chocafino ( ie mocha with real Belgium chocolate grated into it), great selection of cabinet food and menu items. Come with an appetite if you have the Catalan eggs - delicious, but a large amount
M.
Super busy, but worth it! Very fresh, tasty but not pricy.
A.
Sometimes there's a place that is more than a place because of the person. We were greeted and treated with the most wonderful smile and service at Olafs and it instantly makes you want to go back. Olafs has won many awards over the years for its baked goods, as demonstrated by its awards wall, and with reason. You can grab really good bread to go or have a sweet or savory treat from the cabinet. They also do breakfast and lunch fare that never fails to deliver. Has been rightly put in Auckland top 50 cafes for a number of years.
F.
Always consistent at Olaf's. Coffee and food is good. Pastries and baking particularly special. You can pick up a sourdough loaf to take away. Service is fast and friendly. Bring your dog and sit at an outside table.
A.
Awesome cafe! Our must go everytime we are in Auckland. The portuguese pastries are to die for!
T.
Olafs is ace. The people are friendly and kind, the atmosphere is funky and fun, the food and coffee are superb. I recommend the hot chocolates oooooh yum
R.
Stunning food, great coffee, friendly efficient service
M.
Loved the coffee. I have eaten here before too and the food is good. Great place to take your dog too as there is seat outside under cover.
R.
There sourdough is excellent. Though one thing that they need to get better at is identifying what is actually gluten free. Was sold a gluten-free spelt sourdough that I brought for a friend who has recently been diagnosed with celiac. This definitely is not gluten-free after research. Hopefully the gluten-free tarts are not made of this.
S.
Olaf's is one of my top favourite cafe's in Auckland. I am unable to sample the delicious looking food (alas) but I go there for the coffee. It is to die for and always consistent. 10/10.
P.
Nice coffee, artisanal bread, and the staff are joyous. Worth putting on the regular list
M.
Tasty food, quick service. $ reasonable.
L.
I had the best iced coffee of my life here, I keep day dreaming about it. Also had a beautifully fresh raspberry tart. Definitely coming back.
A.
Really cool and cozy place! Friendly welcoming stuff and delicious food 😋
K.
Wow pastries and cakes that makes your mouth water. Service 10/10 friendly fun staff that serve their customers with a smile. Busy cafe for a reason good fast service and awesome food.
J.
Friendly staff and delicious food. The coffee is fabulous. :)
S.
Excellent artisan breads, I often buy breads from them. kitchen foods are great too, just had a beef burger, with a big solid and yummy patty which I think is better than a lot of burger shops
E.
Today I bought a Roggenbrot at the Clevedon Market. Honestly the best bread I ever bought in Nz. Original German style, I missed it so much since I left Germany. Very good, now I now where I can find some yummy bread ;)
D.
It's a busy place. There is a lot of very nice food to try. Coffee was very good. Great service and friendly staff.
B.
Great breads, and an amazing brunch menu. Always busy but there will usually be a free table. It's my favorite location for brunch in Auckland.
R.
Came here for a brunch during level 2 the food was great and the staff was helpful, was glad to see things clean and the stuff sticking to leave 2 rules
T.
fantastic food etc but very very pricey. won't be back as the pricing is out of whack with the rest of the great cafes in the area. your money goes much further if you get out onto mt eden rd proper.
giving you a star and a half each for great food and great service only.
A.
I go here every single day for my coffee and croissant. Amazing food, great service and super friendly staff, what more could I ask for?
E.
Had a blueberry confection plenty of blueberries but the pastry was awful very very hard.
J.
Have not been in Olaf's Cafe, for quite a few years.I must say the food and service,is as good as ever.
A.
Have had different pastries and different loaf's, different times and each time and each item has been amazing. Great service.
R.
Great food, charming staff. Try whatever the soup of the day is because it is guaranteed to be divine, and don't neglect to take a gander at the cabinet food or the amazing bread.
A.
My favorite place for breakfast!!!
R.
My new fav cafe, lovely place
A.
Olaf's makes some of the best bread in Auckland with very high quality pastries and cakes in the counter. It's let down by the awkward layout and service and sub par coffey. We do keep going back for the truffle omelet which is great.
R.
Good coffee and a nice variety of sweets 😋
T.
Had a lovely breakfast here this morning, we were served by Charlie who was very attentive and vibrant. Food and drinks were delicious, we will definitely be coming back here!
G.
Coffee is great and all the baked goods are excellent. Can take a bit of time at times for coffees if you go at the wrong time. Have never been let down though
N.
You know Olaf's offers irresistible delights when it's frequented by a loyal army of activewear wearing women devouring carb-loaded delicacies, both savoury and sweet. Are you really exercising if you're eating a Danish and carting around your handbag? People probably think you're a few seeds short of a multigrain but you're smart enough to recognize a top bakery/cafe when you see one, so who gives a spelt?
Olaf's offers patrons a broad, high quality selection of artisan breads, mouthwatering cakes and a delicious breakfast/lunch menu loaded with fresh and free range ingredients. Perfect for a relaxed start to the day or a casual catch up with friends. Well priced, good service, stylish interior but a little chilly on cold days to be considered 'cozy'. This truly is a great cafe. We've been back multiple times.
K.
Two girls at the till had amazing customer service! Such genuine girls and amazing energy! service was also fast and baristas were very hard working!
E.
Good food... The soup was excellent.
T.
Great services and food...
S.
Great cafe lots of to yummy gluten free deserts and they make their own bread. Coupled with great service equals 5 stars.
J.
Delicious coffee and pastries. The relaxed vibe is a bit disrupted by the close proximity of the other tables. But generally the food makes the visit worth it
M.
Lovely cakes. My only criticism is the fruit tarts contained chocolate, but was unaware until eating.
J.
Lovely place to start the weekend right. The deco, food and people are nice.
E.
this was our third visit within a month and always loved the food and the service.
t.
Excellent breakfast, lunch venue. Great food and service. My roast vege salad and frittata was delicious and generous.
F.
Very good !
I had a Brad with Saladin and a Cinamon roll together with a Coffee.
Very nice bakery, you can See the bakery at Work while eating.
K.
Grab a healthy breakie almost every Wednesday with my daughter's . Great atmosphere and cool place to work quietly on your laptop or catch up on happenings with family or friends
K.
Great food - raspberry almond bundt cake amazing! Would love to see more gf options in savory foods but certainly enough to be satisfied as is :)
S.
