Had a great experience for Philippe’s. They made me a croquembouche for a 30th birthday. They were very responsive and easy to deal with, and the croquembouche was delicious and looked amazing. Would recommend for any special occasion.

They do good coffee and really good pestries, plenty of options too. Also an impressive range of handmade chocolates. Pick up at the door only at the moment.

Perfect pastries and cakes,usually I would perfer enjoy my coffee in the shop,talk to the lovely barista,but through this rough time they provide attentive service,just order 50 or more then the foods could be develied to your place,I am very satisfied by this.Cheers

I bought some of their chocolates at the French Festival. Oh, they were absolutely yum! The staff at the counter was very polite, friendly and had some really good customer service skills. These gourmet chocolates were made with care! Wish I had bought more. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit their store to buy more! :) Cheers

Amazing pastries! Tried the almond croissant and it's out of this world. I also had ham and egg sandwich which was unfortunately not very nice (tasted like it had been kept in the fridge too long). I would definitely come again but not for other than the pastries.

Great coffee and service...you definately have to try their freshly made melt in your mouth pastries and Danishes made onsite. Phillipe's also have handmade chocolates, other sweet deserts, fresh bread and cabinet with range of food if you need to pick up something for lunch as well. Dine in or takeaway but if you dine expect to order more as you'll want to try everything👍

Very nice range of Pastries, some Gluten-Free options that are amazing ! The owner, tall Scandinavian (Norwegian, I think) guy, is there on Mondays and Tuesdays to serve customers and he's quite the showman, difficult to say no when he describes his products, very passionate for his job. They have good options of Alternative Milks, and their Oat Dark Chocolate Mocha is the best in town !

The perfect gift, for most occasions (except perhaps weight watchers reunions) is chocolate. I go to Phillippe’s Chocolate to select a variety of special options from the range of delicious, individual treats. Very special, and always appreciated gifts! Ps. Then I always get a Hot Chocolate takeaway … 😀

The coffee was pretty good. But there was only one person working, and she really wasn't coping. It must have taken more than 10 minutes to just order. There was only one glass and water to half fill it. The almond croissant really should have been warmed, it didn't seem to be very fresh. The sausage roll was very ordinary. I hope the chocolates are better than the baking. Overall, I was pretty disappointed.

Delicious pastries worth picking up from their little stall by Victoria car park (High Street entrance). Pear and custard danish... yum!!

They have a good selection of pastries and deserts. But the flipside is some items sell out fast. But you can call and they put it aside for you. Once of the few places that makes not chocolate from real chocolate.

These guys make the best french pastries.both sweet and savoury hands down in all of auckland. i eat their stuff at markets and events and i am never dissapointed. would recommend them to everyone

My partner and I have been regulars for years now (usually twice a week if not more often). It pains to say this but their quality of coffee making has been deteriorating for a good while now, as I find their short-termed staff are not properly trained and are churned through fairly regularly (every 2-3 months). We were also disappointed to discover that their $7 pastry + coffee deal was abruptly cancelled a few weeks back! What a shame because it was a great promo, despite the lackluster coffee usually. Ever since, we have started to just get their pastries (still amazing!) but stopped eating in for the full experience. Hope you guys can bring back the $7 promo and improve your barista's coffee making. We have hope!

Best French patisserie in Auckland in my opinion! I particularly love their pain aux raisins and their almond pain au chocolat, they are amazing. I'm french and have been living in Auckland for a year now, I've tried a good amount of places but this one is definitely my favorite. Chocolates are also excellent, and the prices a bit lower than average.

Great friends patisserie. Fantastic quality of breads and cakes at reasonable prices. Coffee too. Park outside and run in for a delight or park around the corner and spend a well earned break for a sandwich and cake break. Right opp Bunnings. Must visit

Nice little cafe. The crepes are really good and they have a good-sized collection of chocolates, although we didn't try any. I like that you can see the bakery/chocolatory from the cafe.

Philippe's is by far the best place in Auckland to get pastry and they do a great coffee (even though very oddly they ran out of coffee one Saturday when I came here). Today I had an experience that I thought was worth sharing: When I arrived I saw the barista from Philippe's flick a cigarette butt onto the ground. When I pointed this out to them when inside they basically just shrugged. When I then mentioned there was also a tampon outside the store on the pavement by the shop front they just said I know, but didn't pick up either the tampon or the cigarette butt. I ended up picking up both before having my coffee.

I’ve lived in Lyon, France before and this place is as close as I can find that delivers DELICIOUS and authentic French pastries and baked bread. Every time I come to Auckland I look forward to making my MUST STOP at Philippe’s. Le pain au chocolat est magnifique!

Very yummy fresh pastry, but bad baaaaad coffee. Ordered a mocha and a latte (was served flat white instead) and both tasted awful, which is such a shame because the pastry tastes delicious.

Great pastries! Also, it's open early (before la voie française) So great when we wanted to pick up some breakfast on the way out of town. Staff were lovely as well.

I always thought moccachino was yuck... until I tasted Phillippe's dark chocolate moccachino. SOOOOOO GOOD. I drank half my friends large mocca when I was just supposed to taste it. It all makes sense now. Moccachino is not supposed to be made with some cheap standard issue chocolate powder... it needs good dark chocolate and then it's heavenly! Try one of Phillippe's. They do great pastries too of course

I've only been here once but wow! A great atmosphere and some of the best tasting food I've ever had. It is on the pricey side but that is to be expected and certainly worth it.
