B.The first confusing thing about this place is that there are two entrances. One entrance (across from the parking area) leads to the sit down cafe while the other (The bit that looks like the bottom of an L) looks to be a takeaway area for coffee, salads and other baked goods.
Fairly busy for lunch and the atmosphere was quite nice and bright. The menu had quite an interesting range of food. I went with the crumbed eggs with iced chocolate. The drinks came out way before the meals and they didn't all come at the same time. The iced chocolate was really nice, creamy and chocolatey (not cocoaey). The eggs were cooked well with the yolk still fairly runny and the veges well seasoned.

L.Great coffee and delicious treats! It is a wonderful, dog-friendly café with both indoor and outdoor seating close to the beach along Beach Road. Just far enough from Takapuna to escape the crowds and well worth the quick drive or even quicker bike ride. This place may be a new favourite place!

M.I work in dressmart and its hard to find something good to eat. Finally went in after many times of just walking past, bought my lunch on my way to work in the morning. Food is sooooo good ended up eating my lunch for breakfast. This hidden gem is my new lunch spot.

We have stopped here only twice now, and both times we have been so impressed with the food.
This morning we stopped in and saw that they had a petite breakfast option which is a half serving of eggs bene, or the hunter. $10 ea. Bargain.
We got one each and to be honest it was quite a generous serving that filled us right up.
My husband said the eggs bene tasted fantastic and I found the hunter brekky to be so healthy and the flavour was just brilliant.
The service is lovely, choice of places to sit either inside two different areas or out in the sunshine.
It's a quiet spot and we just enjoy it there.
Worth a visit. The cabinet food looks pretty good too.
A.Excellent coffee, delicious food thats a feast for there's as well as the belly, healthy or naughty, its all good and you can walk it off up at Kennedy Park afterwards. Happy Days 😊

C.Nice place, with little traffic despite being on an intersection. This place is dog friendly (outdoors) and the service is good. They provide good breakfast and brunch items (pastries and meals) and good coffee.
T.I'd come here again. Decent coffee and nice snacks. Excellent hot chocolate. Decor is nicely done. Several high chairs in the seating area on the left.
P.The food is always excellent no matter what we get. The staff is also very nice and welcoming. The only down side would be the wait for the meals that can be a little long depending on how busy the cafe is.

K.Friendly staff, fresh food good coffee and very clean facilities. Great for kids (across the road is Castor Bay Beach + epic playground) and they have a lovely outdoor patio area.
N.Fantastic Cafe! A+ Coffee, Ginger Slice, Sandwiches and classic wholesome meals on the menu. My pic over anything else on the bays. Great selection of cakes and slices in the deli to go with coffee. Had the potatoe Rosti with avo, eggs, and spinach...couldnt fault the dish. Good work Pic Nic !
