Absolutely charming café. Very very spacious across some lovely gardens & outdoor area very vast. Plenty of shaded tables. Food was delicious.

The food is always excellent here. Very large portions, and good value for money. Lovely outdoor seating environment. We arrived at about 1230pm for lunch on Sunday. Expect a delay on food if you go around prime time. We waited roughly an hour for our meals. The market out back on Sundays is nice to walk through from 9am - 3pm.

This was my third visit to Red Shed Palazzo, but a first for my friend Ma. I'd decided to book us in for brunch as it was her birthday. We both loved everything, the setting, food, customer service, and especially the friendliness of the staff. It was their second day of operating under the new 'traffic light' system, and Kristina (the owner), was right there at the front entrance, welcoming everyone as she scanned vaccine passports and explained the process once we entered the premises, which was smooth and efficient. Thank you Kristina and Staff for making our visit enjoyable and extra special.

Had a gorgeous chicken burger and it was everything a chicken burger should be. Very good value for money, wonderful gardens to sit in while you enjoy your meal. The service is friendly however make sure you go to the counter to order as there is not table service

First time to the Red Shed our daughter and son in law took us today for lunch and loved it they had everything for a Sunday! A lil market on with fantastic lil stalls Fantastic Food and customer service though they were busy but we didn't wait long as we had the lil market to browse, highly recommended Food fantastic portion and taste Frankie loved the toast!

We often stop here for breakfast when we are nearby as it’s our favourite cafe. The food never fails to please and the staff are friendly. We love the rustic, country feel of the place and all the art work. I would always book to be sure of a table and I recommend it to friends and family.

The grounds and surroundings are lovely. Staff are great. Meals are generous and tasty. Problem is... We have been there a few times now and totally sick of the curried potatoes that come with every meal. We tried asking for any alternative (chips, baked potato, etc..) but we were told there isn't any other option. Curried potatoes are not for everyone all the time!

Once again a memorable occasion. Great venue - we had a table outside under the Wisteria. Excellent service. Excellent food and pricing. This venue comes highly recommended by a local and is our first option for any occasion from coffee with a friend to celebrating with work colleagues.

Absolutely loved the iced mocha!! My kind of iced mocha- strong mocha flavor with some sweetness to it! Everything was delicious especially the toasted garlic foccacia dipped in the pasta sauce. Pasta was a bit overcooked though. Good variety of cabinet food, too! Desserts looked sooo tempting!

We have been in all seasons including a Christmas luncheon several years ago for our service club. The atmosphere created by the quirky eating spaces, the owner who makes time to stop clearing our table and the food are all outstanding. Just a fabulous place.

I booked for a lunch for 12 ladies from the Hunua women's institute. We had a wonderful lunch. The food was delicious, service was excellent, all the food came out together. All protocols were followed as per the covid rules. They were also kind and patient as we worked our way through the new rules. I would thoroughly recommend the red shed for a lunch destination. I found this place by accident.. The food was delicious I shared it so the photo is of half a plate.. The scenery is stunning and I would love yo bring someone special here... They have areas for group functions. They have Saturday market. Huge area outside for big groups.. So relaxing. The food was so tasty I didnt like the carrot cake was a bit dry and too heavy and cold.. But the rest makes up for that..

Beautiful wedding venue. Service was really good! Unfortunately didn't get a photo of the courtyard, except one of the bride and groom so can't post that. Appetizers were alright. Dinner was really underwhelming after hearing great things about the food here. The best dinner item was probably the vegetarian ravioli, but that too, the pasta itself was too thick and doughy. Dessert was decent. The best thing being the wedding cake (from Gateau House), followed by the blueberry cheesecake. The Pavlova and last item (pictured) were a little too sweet but still yummy. Overall a really nice venue but food may need to be taken up a notch!

Nice food, a big variety that we may choose from. We came on a Sunday thus it was market day and lots of people. As we walked in, we were told we got a waiting time for our food for about 30 mins. We had a daily special salmon and a Mexican breakfast. Not bad at all. Kids were running around happily. It definitely will be a place that we will revisit at some stages.

This place has a fairly extensive lunch menu with a great range of alcoholic beverages. Definitely one of my favourite cafes in the area. The building was originally a barn built by the landowners and later converted into a restaurant. It's still owned by the original owners and the business is leased by managers who've really improved the food and customer experience. It can get quite busy here so if you're have lunch with a group of ten it would be best to book. My go to meal is the creamy seafood fettuccine, with a generous amount of salmon. There's an outdoor garden area with hanging vines and umbrellas offering shade on bright sunny days. A great place to sip wine in these warmer summer days. The dessert cabinet is always on my list when I dine in. There is a pecan pie or a chocolate and banana cake which I eat on alternating occasion. The brownie is also delicious served with cream or yogurt. You decide. 😋

A solid 3.5, let’s start with the positive the food was cooked perfectly and was pretty good we had a variety of different dishes on table and no one complained about the food. The coffee on the other hand is ridiculously weak I believe they only put 1 shot of espresso into their standard flat whites which is a practice that stopped in the early 2000’s so be aware to ask for and pay for extra shots if you want it to taste like actual coffee . The atmosphere is quite nice especially outside , inside is a bit over heated and very dated . Would I go back .. yes but only if I have to

This is a nice place to take the kids for a run-a-round, we went on a Sunday and it was super crowded so we only ordered coffee which was a 20 min wait, but thankfully the market was open so we wandered around and chatted with the lively locals. Food is quite expensive for us so we didn't order anything but looks nice.

Red Shed is my local so only place to enjoy a birthday lunch with four close friends and it ticked all the boxes; warm friendly unobtrusive staff, delicious food and wine and the ambience is superb. Lovely cafe. Plenty of tables, indoor and out, with lots of space in between so the place doesn't feel cramped at all. They served a delicious flat white coffee, and the smoked chicken omlette was hands down one of the best omlettes I've eaten (Missus agrees). It was a generous portion size, was served quickly and really hot, fluffy and well seasoned. All the food looked huge and yum. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're out South Auckland way.

I've got high breakfast standards and this place goes above and beyond.. Really amazing food and I can see us frequenting this place. Food is the best I've had in years...and the atmosphere is amazing!! Really good entertainment for the kids too with swings and even a little maze.. The market next door over weekends is quite lovely with hand made goods and not your ordinary market. Be sure to look up Annemaria with her hand/home made goods and baby clothes and the home made fig jam stand. Too much to mention here.

We waited between 45 min to an hour for 6 meals at 10:30am and they weren't even half full. We even booked! Heaps of barely friendly waitresses around, but Id argue more kitchen staff are required. Annoyingly they didnt even advise us of the wait times. 20-30 mins is normal, 45-60 mins is deserving of a heads up to your customers. Its a reoccuring theme each time we've been. Great food, but a super slow/average service.

Even on a very hot day, it felt comfortable sitting in a group of 15 adults at one table and 10 or so young adults at another in the garden, for a yummy lunch. Service was polite, friendly and efficent with drinks served quickly, meal orders delivered in a succession of batches, calling clearly the order. Cooled water bottles topped up quickly. We were seated in an area were we could talk and laugh happily without feeling we were interrupting other diners. Plenty of space between tables and the young ones could move about the gardens exploring. A lovely lunch together with work colleagues to start the 2020 school year 😊

The Red Shed is a classic brunch place with massive servings of fresh and tasty food. On a Sunday they have live music and a market on. As well at the market they also sell artwork from the area. Pop into the red shed. You'll regret it if you don't.

It was nice both times I've been, and both times the sunday market was on, (cash only market) it's little and cute, the wait times are moderate but the food servings are too so no complaints, they have allergy friendly options which is great and serve some good drink options. Once food was served no one asked if everything was alright, it was a very hot day whilst we had an umbrella the sun was beating down on my back, by the time I had finished my lunch I was feeling very uncomfortable, so much so we decided against having a dessert and left. Whilst they can't control the bird's there was a couple of areas that really could have been kept a bit cleaner. There is an attached Garden Center that we didn't visit.

Dessert must not have been very good as I have forgotten what I ate. Drinks were kept flowing and staff were nice without being to familiar, would visit again not a place that makes my mouth water though when I think about it.
