Have given 4 stars because when we arrived there was no one at the counter to greet us,but as we had booked just went to sit at a table. Was very surprised how few people were there (we'd only just discovered that they were open til 9pm) However, that said,the lady who served us was very pleasant, and when the food arrived it looked so good that I didn't take a photo as I wanted to eat it straight away!! Do take time visit them, it will be worth your while

Such a cute, clean and cool place with amazing service, though it wasn't that busy when mum and I went. Also has outdoor seating and quick cabinet food for on the go. I got mince on sourdough (gluten free) and the bread was so thick with the incredibly scrumptious mince flavor - I couldn't stop eating it! Mum loved her food and mentioned before ordering that there were so many options especially gluten free that we will be fine with whatever we wanted to order ordered. Definitely would come back!!

Took Dad for Fathers day breakfast. Food was great. I had Eggs Benny with bacon and I can recommend the kumera rosti with it. Coffee was lovely. We sat out on the covered veranda. The wind was chilly but the owner gladly put the heaters on for us.

Went here when Takapuna Rocks car show was on with my husband and daughter. Had the best avocado smash with salmon ever, my husband had eggs Benedict and my daughter had the fruit crepes. All delicious food and great service. What a unexpected very pleasant experience.

Lovely location and ambiance, good service but the food is really average and lack of seasoning. Beef kebabs was tough and bland, the wrap had no flavour. My husband was so disappointed with his wrap (the kebab shops do much better ones), he vowed to never return.

Food was good but the service was rather unfriendly. They are happy to take your money but will pack up and start closing the restaurant around you. Rather rushed lunch and won't go back.

The cafe looks great and I've wanted to visited it for a while. The staff is very friendly (hence 3 🌟) but the food was really disappointing. The waffle presentation was nice but I did not expect to taste onion on the fruit (must have been sliced on a dirty chopping board) or the grilled banana tasting like grilled ribs... If I was Joey from Friends I might have liked the dessert+meet taste but no.. it was unacceptable. I was super hungry that's why I ate half.. otherwise I wouldn't. I hope they take better care of counter contamination of foods.

We have been here twice now for breakfast and have not been disappointed. The service is good, and the food is terrific. Only didn't give 5 stars because the patio chairs could be cleaned more often (birds frequent the patio also...)

I don't usually write reviews but we are so happy with this place I want people to know. Takapuna was lacking a good Turkish restaurant but now we have Seven Hills / Mossimo. They have very good food from a good menu and every time we try a new dish we are very happy with what we get and the price we pay :--). A+

I love this place, although the service is a bit slow, but I think according to its location the time passes by easily. If you want to relax at a good location with breakfast/lunch, this is the place :) love the food too, have been there several times, no complaints so far, keep it up 👍

Very nice cafe with decent food and drinks menu. Preparation is good and tasty. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer vegetarian options for some dishes. The parking can be a bit of a hassle since the spot is always busy. Location is very convenient and close to the beach. Well recommended.

Great cafe that can be relied on. The coffee is always excellent, the food is always well presented, tasty and reasonably priced and the staff are always friendly. The service can be a little slower on weekends, but it is usually very busy (which I take as a sign of popularity). I see they are once again open in the evenings so I look forward to trying some of their evening meals soon.

I've been going to this cafe for years (mainly for brunch). It's consistently good with excellent friendly service & great food, as well as being only a hop, skip & jump from the beach. The upohlstery could do with a clean though to brighten things up, otherwise Massimo is really reliable choice & has a good menu with plenty of choice.

Have you tried this place? Our party of 8 couldn't fault our meals. Absolutely delicious. My recommendation is the breakfast salad. OMy goodness. Not what you'd expect but so yummy. The only criticism was too slow bringing a couple of coffees after the meal.

Great location! Good menu, especially for breakfast, lunch and brunch and they have gluten-free bread - so if you have to avoid wheat (like me) - you can still have most of the breakfast choices on the menu - with gluten free toast. I've always found the service to be very friendly and efficient.
