First visit here...great service and coffee had the crispy tofu...omgoodness...melt in your mouth delicious and not what I expected surrounded by delicious vegetables...apple walnut cake a special treat enjoyed by my husband at home!

The outdoor area at this cafe is spacious and varied with lots of shade, and there are multiple indoor options for large groups or more intimate lunches. Parking is limited so stick to the street unless you spot a lucky space ;) Staff are friendly and efficient, food and drinks are amazing - highly recommend their smoothies!

Now that they've returned to the full menu, the Collins is back on our top 3 brunch spots. Special mention to the kimchi fried rice. Lovely cabinet food. Friendly service.

Very friendly and responsive staff - they always greet you and are always smiling - gave the cafe a very pleasant atmosphere. The cafe itself has an amazing outdoor section. No complaints about the food too. Fully recommend if in the area, one of the nicer cafes in Auckland.

Mexican eggs with tortilla - spicy and delicious but was a tad cold unfortunately. Coffee was not great, bitter and cold, might have just been a busy day would give them benefit of the doubt as my partners mocha was hot and delicious.

This place is a hidden gem. I've been here a few times and it never disappoints, personally I'm a fan of the eggs Benedict but it's really all delicious. Coffee is great, the aura of the cafe is fantastic and the staff are awesome. If you're on the shore, pop in you won't regret it.

Huge star towards the Ricky who made my coffee today- had to drive all the way from Gulf Harbour to get his coffee.Didn’t have the time to take a photo but tasted absolutely delicious,creamy coffee !!!!

Coffee was weak and Chai was too strong. Staff are friendly though and outside seating area is great, you can even take your dog.

everything on their menu is amazing and its styling is charming and gorgeous. staff are friendly and welcoming. soothing and serene environment. bright sunlight, warm people, excellent coffee and food, clean... plus ample free parking is available. What else do we need?

Beautifully presented food that tastes as good as it looks. Catered for GF easily and the wait staff are great. Would be a 5 but the team member on the till needs a smile! Easily one of the beat cafes on the shore.

Delicious food and coffee! We go out for breakfast every weekend around Auckland, and a friend suggested we go here. Well, this is the best breakfast we've had. We ordered the corn fritters, toast crunch, iced chocolate and Americano. My partner thought it was the best iced chocolate he'd ever had. Great atmosphere, they even have a dog of the week wall!

Love this cafe:) they have the best duck fat fries, my partner loved their new French toast style , I like it also, However I miss their old style of crunch French toast that was mind blowing, hope they bring it back

Nice little quaint spot, drove all the way from Glen Innes because it was on our list to visit. No initial table service as you have to order and pay for your meal at the counter. Service is pleasant and the ambiance of the place has an outdoor rural feel, plenty of playing area for kids it even has a playground across the road. The coffe was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. Appears to be a popular spot for cyclists we also noticed the many re-served tables and it wasn't lunch time yet.

Me and the kids love this place, excellent atmosphere and staff. The kids and I play on the grass with outdoor covered seating and we love sound of the birds and light music outside, food is great and good range of teas

Good outdoor seating available as well as plenty of indoor seating.Menu is a bit limited but acceptable.Parking can be an issue,staff were friendly and polite.

I Visit many Cafés recently but my personal all time favorite remains “The Collins”. Honestly one of the best kept secrets of AUCKLAND city! Yeah the food is the best! But the service I would rate up there with the Michelin Star Resturant’s I frequent. Every time I go there I feel like I’ve come home. Today was like Wow! The best!

Nice little Cafe pleasant staff great service the ladies and myself from Oceania we're impressed.

Lovely staff and wonderful atmosphere. A local favourite. The aesthetic is what you come here for or if you have a larger group. The coffee is average - the one I had was too finely ground and so over extracted with a sour taste. But if you have it with milk it’ll be palatable but average. Again would recommend to bring company.

Really nice! Tasty and fresh, creamy mushrooms and hash Benedict was fantastic. Will be back for sure.

Great Service, Friendly Staff and good food

Fairly average cafe with lovely staff. It’s located in a quiet neighbourhood and has good potential yet the tables are sticky and not wiped down which is a downer for me personally. As I was ordering food I saw the barista place the portafilter into the coffee machine while talking to another staff which leaves the coffee burnt. The menu is unique and well-presented, we ordered the big grill, chicken waffle, chicken burger and hash bene. We found our food average and quite dry overall. However, the atmosphere and staff are kind and friendly.

Dissapointing and not for the first time. Hesitant to return after receiving rude service the last visit however, a family member wanted to meet there. It took almost an hour for our group of 7 to get our drinks. The coffee was really good though which is the only reason I gave 3 stars.

Always good coffee, friendly service and great food

Good food pricing wasn’t too bad. One recommendation is to have some more furniture or sound deadening. When busy the place gets rather noisy and hard to hear your own table.

Nice little cafe although drove past it because we missed the sign perhaps this could be something they could work on. Ample parking spots or FIFS The tables needed a wipe down however seating arrangement was good as it caters for all there were big tables for large groups and smaller ones for intimate meets. Very family friendly as there is coloring pens and pictures for the little ones to color. The Big Breakfast is nice the bacon and tomatoes being the best!! The French toast thingy is aesthetically pleasing also had a little sister cafe but hard to cut into and chew.

Slightly over priced, but quality is fantastic and I'd highly recommend if you're looking to spoil yourself... Both me and my girlfriend had a coffee and a meal, rounded to $50, I ended up getting an iced mocha as well punching the price up to $59 in total. Somewhere I'd probably go to every 2 months, but the setting, gentle atmosphere, friendly staff, good taste in music, an overall pleasant experience, it made our time here feel well spent. Also meals are presented wonderfully like from a fine-dining establishment. I didn't take photos, but other reviewers were bound to, so check 'em out.

Great brunch, we both really enjoyed... However, whether short staffed or a lack of care we had to settle for a table which hadn't been cleaned adequately. Don't let this stop you from visiting though...

I went for a mother & son lunch and absolutely loved it. I had a beautiful chicken and Kumara salad, it was so delicious! The portion size was good and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was really chilled, you can take your family there or just go with a bunch of friends and have good food, good service and a relaxed time. We absolutely loved it!

I love this cozy cafe! It is a beautiful spot with lovely outdoor and indoor seating (including a warm fireplace in winter). The food is also very tasty, and they have a wide selection of drinks including a turmeric latte that is delicious! Highly reccomend going for a group brunch there.

The waffles, omg just amazing. The premise is very nice and welcoming interesting decor throughout and nice seating outside also. The only reason this isn't a 5 star rating is the coffee was pretty average. Every thing else including the staff was great. 😀

We took full advantage of the sun and enjoyed a delightful lunch in their outdoor garden. Food was healthy and fresh and they do an all day breakfast menu plus a few lunch options. Incredible cake selection all baked on site daily. Service with a smile. We will be back.

Our first visit today will not be the last. Spacious, inviting indoor dining as well as plenty of outdoor tables with big parasols. Great choice of food and good coffee. We had the plumb crumble cake, which was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to going back soon for a breakfast.

Very nice cakes, coffee was good except as often is the case, as example my partner will order cinnamon instead of chocolate on her cappuccino and an additional shot. 70% of the time she'll get chocolate served up anyway. Which leaves the question, did she actually get an extra shot also? The guy who delivered the coffees said cappuccino with cinnamon too. I'm curious where the weakest link in the chain is.... This scenario is very common.

Just had a quick coffee and a date scone here, but they were both pretty good. I like a date scone that isn't overly sweet and it was moist enough that it didn't need butter. If I ever venture to Greenhithe again I will try something more substantial.

In the pedigree of Bungalo Cafe before, the coffee is superb and highly recommended. They've done and amazing makeover and it's definitely worth a visit if you're passing through Greenhithe.

Nice coffee. Nice to have outdoor space for the toddlers but the outdoor games left on the grass are broken and tattered which isn't ideal with inquisitive toddlers.

We have been to this Gem of a eatery before and on Sunday went to a Birthday party and Mother's Day brunch, what a great place. Parking on the premises and on the road is just great. The menu has a great variety to choose from and they also cater for Gluten customers, which is great. They have a small play area for small kids in the building and there is a skate park right across the road from them. The meals portions are big and they have a variety of hot and cold drinks to choose from. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be back in the near future. Highly recommended.
