We came here for brunch on a Sunday morning and it wasn't super full. Amazing food for a good price, quick and brilliant service, and a great location in the centre of downtown Auckland. Having the outdoor space is awesome for sunny summer mornings. Iced mocha was well worth it and will return for that and the potato eggs benedict in the future!

Fabulous efficient service and the food was amazing - high-quality and very well presented. We had the Grill and the Hotcakes, and both were top end. Perfect place for a spot of brunch or lunch. Coffee was one of the best!

Nice business casual setting, tugged near Britomart, with a bit of gardening feel. Fish & chips for breakfast is an usual choice, but attendants make everything feel nice. Recommend for a quiet/chill-out spot, or just a business meal.

No room to dine in but a patio with tables just outside. Delicious array of sandwiches and wraps. Fresh squeezed OJ hit the spot too. Very economical and really high quality. Desserts looked yummy but we did not indulge.

I was in the area and wanted to try the place but didn't have that much time so ended up in the takeaway area around the back of the shop on Gore Street. There is seating on the other end in the middle area in Britomart. I grabbed a sandwich, a croissant and a hot chocolate and sat at one of the table on the curb. the beef and cheddar sandwich was quite nice. Nice flavours and there was a hit of horseradish to give it a nice surprise. I wasn't a fan of the croissant. The outer section was nice and crispy but the inside was pretty much bread. it didn't have laminations or a lot of holes so it wasn't crispy or flakey at all. The hot chocolate was ok with a flavour of chocolate but not very sweet. it was a nice place to grab a sandwich to go if you're I a rush.

I've had somewhat mixed experiences here, but the Smoked Warehou Eggs Benedict was spot on. Delicious and not overwhelming. The coffee was good too. It's really busy on the weekends, but if you're sadly or happily alone, counter seating is probably available.

The place has outdoor and indoor seating with blankets for colder days. The menu is pretty good with some interesting options. The service is really good and the food came out very quickly. The juices were also very nice and its a good place to stop by just for a juice. The doughnuts look amazing though I haven't tried those yet.

Service plus! What a fantastic restaurant. The service was A++ and the food wonderful. Had a delicious brunch of ricotta pancakes, my husband had the porridge. The coffee was the best. Would thoroughly recommend The Store.

I went to the store today to buy some lunch. I decided to go for the mince and cheese pie because it looked stunning and golden even though it was eight dollars!! However, I was highly disappointed at the pastry. I've had better pastry from a corner store for half the price and for $8 I expected something much more flaker and delicious. The filling was alright but nothing too great just had some extra vegetables than normal. Not sure I will be visiting again anytime soon as it seems very overpriced.

It's a small and charming cafe by Britomart Station, Auckland CBD. We ordered double shot cappuccino and flat white. It was really good! Brunch was ok. Bacon incredibly dry and even hard. Sausage was tasty but bread and other items average. It wasn't great as this place isn't so cheap. Staff is very friendly and efficient.

Came here for brunch on Saturday. The place was busy but we managed to get a seat without having to wait. We ordered the gnocchi and the fish and chips but the waitress gave us market fish instead. We didn't complain about the order stuff up as we didn't want to wait again. My gnocchi was good but the fish of the day was a bit bland. Might have enjoyed the fish and chips better. Would have been a four if waiters got the order right.

It's very large so they will always have a table that fits your group. The food is amazing and everything on the menu I have tried has been exceptional. The place is reasonably priced. I enjoyed a very good breakfast here. It’s a nice calm place - not super busy at 8am and so my time was spent very productively. I ordered the mushroom omelette with leek and goats cheese. It came promptly and was very good. I love how there’s sparking water readily available too. The atmosphere is peaceful and the location makes it handy for offices nearby, also for the ferry terminal and Britomart station. Really good service too. Thank you.

Came for brunch. Menu had more options than the usual brunch menu found across the city. The service was unobtrusive and efficient. Hot cakes had a nice mix of flavours and textures which meant they weren’t dry. Coffee was delicious. Smoothie was nice but expensive for the size. Smashed eggs with halloumi was a nice dish also.

Went for breakfast last week with work colleagues. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Yes, prices are up there of course, given the area, but I had two long blacks which were perfect, and The Grill breakfast - I could not fault. The poached eggs were perfect, the hash browns amazing, and the salsa sauce was to die for. Would I go everyday? No - I would go broke! But wonderful atmosphere, fault-free service and have recommended to friends already.

Good food and coffee in a casual environment. They serve both breakfast and lunch at once. We had “The Grill” and the hashbrown were delicious. Helpful staff - picked up on a mistake on our order before it arrived to the table and replaced it immediately. Kids friendly although the glass tables are not as much.

I love the fresh juices both hot and cold here. The wait staff are always very quick and attentive too. The one thing I dislike is that if you sit down for a meal at The Store and you need to use the bathroom it is on the other bakery side of the cafe so it’s not very convenient.

I would have given a 5 star rating because the food and coffee were great. Also there was this gorgeous Irish waitress who was outstanding. However this morning there was a queue waiting for their breakfast and I was still drinking my coffee. A waiter came and asked me to move my table over and then a group was asked to hang around our table until I had finished my coffee, then they could sit there. Enjoyed a lazy brunch here on Sunday while catching up with a girlfriend. We didn't feel rushed which was nice for once! I had The Grill with a Kumeu pressed orange juice and a chocolate twist for "dessert" washed down with an Earl Grey tea. I discovered that my eggs were boiled rather than poached and the waiter made sure that poached eggs arrived in less than 5 minutes. Was apparently given the wrong tea and the waitress instantly got the right one. Very pleased with the service so going back for sure!

One of the best cafés in the Auckland CBD. Drinks are reasonably priced; especially since house made sodas and pressed juices are normally so expensive in Auckland, and the waitstaff were excellent and actually talk to you like a human being and not just another customer they have to serve. The food was also of a very high standard, we loved the gnocchi in particular.

Have only been to the takeaway counter here but it is consistently good. They use Allpress coffee and I have never had a bad one. I usually go for the chicken roll. The bread is cooked fresh and is deliciously crunchy. Today I tried the mozzarella cheese, tomato and cucumber roll. Once again fabulous crunchy bread and fresh ingredients. Took a star away because sometimes the bread is so crunchy that you fear breaking a tooth 😀

The Store is another one of the Hip Group's creations. Amongst all their other cafes, The Store is probably their conservative outlet where their tried and tested dishes end up. I frequent their other stores so this makes The Store a bit dull as there is really nothing new to capture you, it's the old classics done a bit better at a heftier price. Having been there a couple of times, the food has been hit or miss, never terrible but never great. It's a safe option but there are plenty others around thats worth your Saturday morning visit. Tip: They only really have outside seating so forget about going on a wet or cold day.
