L.I Highly recommend the tent Cafe! I discovered them on day 1 of my visit to the area, and enjoyed brunch 2 days in a row there. I can't fault them, and they were constantly busy, so I can tell the locals love the place too. Coffee was spot on. Eggs Benedict was amazing, and they used hash browns (instead of bread of English muffins.. Genius!!!!).. The home made cabinet food looked SO GOOD and so did the rest of the menu. The staff were very friendly too. An overall great experience!! Thank you
J.I have lunch at Tent every Wednesday with my elderly mum. The service is so friendly, the owner always takes time to chat to mum. The food is delicious and fantastic value for money. Great in winter and summer, light and airy with a stunning garden around the outside. I a big big fan!
A.We had the most amazing blueberry pancakes for breakfast this morning. The chef here is amazing and we didn't have to wait long for our meal at all. The staff are all amazingly friendly and we will definitely be back. Great prices, great service, great food!

K.The Tent is my favourite cafe in Orewa! I love the friendly atmosphere (the owners and staff seem to know ALL the customers!) and the food/coffee is next level. Everything I’ve ever eaten here has been incredible.
C.As far as coffee places go, this place is ideal. Located next to Countdown, a chemist, tha doctors etc. That's largely what the three stars are for, and for the remarkedly good mocha that they make.
They lose marks for the lack of smiles and for the eagle eye of the owner who, on more than one occasion fills me with guilt for just enjoying the place and not ordering food.
Allow me to sit a wee bit longer, hunger is sure to strike and then I'd gladly sample some of your eats.
I would recommend going there but wear dark glasses so that you can ignore the 'eagle eye'😉
A.These guys have the formula for delicious food, outstanding service and all at brilliant prices. Your restaurants are always packed with happy people. We love coming up to Orewa because then we can stop in at The Tent Cafe. Thanks D & C ("grumpy old man and really lovely lady") and the whole team. p.s. G.The coffee machine broke down the morning of our visit. Didn't matter as the food well and truly made up for it. Top place for brunch, the boss is really good
S.Great cafe with lots of space and the most delicious toasted sandwiches. Highly recommend the almond and orange cake.
