Reviews of Welcome Eatery
A.
Nice ambience, lively music but the price is too much. In general, everything is expensive. $5.00 for small coffee whereas in coffix you get large for $4.00. This place is good for someone who would like to enjoy coffee by sitting by the window side and listening to music.

Came down for lunch and a few drinks. We grabbed a table and menus after waiting a bit not being directed. We then ordered at the counter. They have cabinet food and specials on top of the menu items.
I had the special of the day which was a pappardelle with chorizo and blue cheese. The pasta was nicely made and the flavour was quite nice because the blue cheese wasn't overpowering everything. The chorizo tasted more like a sausage to me. The walnuts gave it some flavour and crunch. I also grabbed a hot chocolate to try their homemade marshmallow but it didn't even come with one. When we asked we got a few small marshmallows drizzled in chocolate instead.
The food is quite nice and the dining area is very spacious and has quite a lot of seating.
V.
Superb breakfast menu and super friendly service. Great ham and cheese, coffee is fun sized. But overall the best cafe in the area.
J.
Friendly staff and manager! Loved the daily special - spaghetti and meatballs :) Desserts look amazing too :D
S.
Great little cafe! Had THE BEST Caesar’s salad here recently where the anchovies were blended IN THE DRESSING, and the croutons were homemade amazing 🌟 I keep thinking about it... will have to come back over the harbour bridge more often to enjoy again. And the service was really good too.. had a newbie on who stuffed up A LITTLE, but they offered me a complimentary doughnut or slice! I declined, but after eating the amazing salad, I regretted it - could possibly have been the best thing ever!

Wasn't too fond of this establishment when I visited 6 months ago. Food was good but staff and management seemed uninterested in providing any kind of service really. Gave it another chance on Friday and by golly what a turn around! food and service were outstanding, and the atmosphere felt friendlier than ever from what seemed to be new management? Would definitely recommend this place and will be making this a frequent spot of mine.

Nice place to have a coffee.
I like their mushrooms on toast. Perfect to start the day!
Service is very nice and friendly.
V.
Beautiful place, yummy food, clean restrooms and pleasant hosts.

They've nailed the essentials here. The coffee is good, the food is good with some interesting ideas, and there's plenty of seats both inside and out. Outside has no cover so not suitable for a rainy or sunny day. The food is a bit pricey here but it's a nice place to grab a coffee and work if that's what you're looking for (free WiFi available).
J.
High ceilings, big windows that open to let in the warmth of summer, enthusiastic knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Somehow Welcome always tempts me to try something new. I'm yet to be disappointed. If you enjoy having coffee and yummy bites prepared and served by people who love good food as much as you do, put an hour aside for a lunch at Welcome.
D.
Restaurant worthy menu from at a cafe. Great coffee and the service is great.
I.
Their coffee makes my day! I get my usual "flat white with cinnamon on top" here every morning since my workplace is just across the road. The staff are friendly as well. The place is neat and cozy.
S.
Welcome is a great spot for a weekday break. The staff is friendly and attentive. At present it caters more to workers but this will change as more apartment dwellers move into the area. It’s a pity Welcome is not open in the weekend.
C.
Service is fantastic, even if you are only in for a coffee. The menu is frequently changed according to the seasons and always has a great selection. Delicious food and consistently good coffee.
Y.
Delicious, creative and healthy menu; great coffee and friendly service! It's just up the road from the new Les Mills gym, which makes it the perfect post-workout stop. A great find in an area that is otherwise low on notable eateries!
J.
Good service and great coffee but $16.50 for two eggs and a dollop of spinach is mental. I dont eat bread so most cafe's offer to replace it with something else. But nope.
N.
This cafe stands on its own - it doesn’t need the Orion guys upstairs to keep it busy. Tasty food, very friendly service, and their cabinet food is takeaway (great for when you need to eat lunch at your desk).
D.
Some of the most consistently great coffee I've found in Auckland. Menu and cabinet food have followed suit. I've never been disappointed at Welcome.
I.
The foods were nice. There were some menus mixed with korean cuisine e.g. kimchi hollandise sauce on egg venedicts, and i think they did good job. One bad thing is that the hot chocolate is quite plain.

Initially, I was like pfft, salad and sandwiches? And now I'm like, ooh salad and sandwiches! I was also like, who eats soup for lunch? And now I'm wow the soup today is cauliflower, yum.
Great staff, great food and coffee.
They only open office hours though so you can't probably take your friends on the weekends. And lunch is very busy, because there's a lot of people who come here.
Z.
Delicious. Menu has been improved since last time I visited. Coffee is on point. But the staff are the most on point!! Dude with the beard is the Man
V.
Ive tried coffee all around the world, and nothing compares to Welcome cafe and the way they make their coffee. Plus I feel healthier for eating there everyday - very polite and quick service! thanks guys! Vic

Food is pretty good, but service can at times be too cool talking to each other and their friends to deal with customers. Coffee is so-so.
D.
Have only had their scones so far, but they are amazing if you love a good scone. And toasted with butter ... nom nom!!
C.
I went for lunch and had the Pappadelle. It was delish! I could've consumed 2 bowls. The service was friendly. I'll definitely be going back.
