Before we went to this shop before lockdown. This is one of our favorite restaurant. The food and dessert are absolutely beautiful. The prices is not bad. The shop is so clean, not too much people on afternoon. If you around there, I would like you come to try 😊

If you’re going to do a classic you’d better do it right and this is about as right as it gets. Fresh ingredients, well prepared. Best eggs beney I’ve had , sauce was amazing and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Who could ask for anything more! A good cup of coffee, they have it too! ☺️

Wow. What an addition to the village and I'm in such big trouble. The green curry is the best I've ever had. Perfectly creamy and plenty of kick. Crispy pork bao is very decent. And Pad Thai was average compared to my main. If the rest of the menu is this good, I'm so going to savour every single delicious bite. We spent about 30pp, and it was worth every cent. Good atmosphere, excellent service. Will defo be back and I highly recommend it.
Side note: I would of added some crushed peanuts to the curry and that's my only possible fault with it. For the table setting, replace the chopsticks with a knife.

Awesome eatery in Long Bay. Seated outdoors on a hot day was a great vibe! Good service. The standout was the Matcha Waffles with Ice Cream and Karaage Chicken. The chicken was excellent and worth the trip alone.

I ordered chicken karaage bao. Nicely presented and came out quickly as did my coffee (I did come in on a quiet morning). The chicken was cooked nicely, but I was a bit disappointed with flavour- on a very small bed of greens and with few squirts of mayo. Single bao for $12 is pricy which I'd accept if it was rave worthy.
Coffee was fine, although I find places that charge extra for upsizing black coffee frustrating. Extra charge for a bit of hot water is... well, it's a pet peeve of mine.
Service was prompt but unmemorable. No engagement or friendliness. Not bad, but not good either.

Xtra Ordinary is a shining light in the chaos of development happening at the moment in Long Bay. Sitting in the corner site of new development, this eatery is a stone's throw from the beach. Offering up a unique breakfast menu that will appease any high brow foodie from Ponsonby while also sticking to the classics, making sure you can order that big breakfast when dusty on a Sunday.
The coffee is Allpress espresso blend that is served through a shiny new La Marocco sitting front and centre, making sure you know where the goods are.
Picture waking up on a weekend morning in summer. You grab your togs, towel, sunblock and jump into the car and start driving towards the beach. You arrive at XO and have yourself a beautifully made coffee and the best breakfast. Right after finishing, you then walk the mere 500meters to Long bays beach and spend the rest of the day by the ocean - if that doesn't sum up a classic summer, I don't know what does.
