Our first time at Raupo. Service, views, cleanliness all lovely. Food looked and tasted amazing and was perfectly paced between courses. They asked for vaccine passes. Dogs allowed outside which was lovely for us, but may not be for others.

The food was delicious, great service and friendly staff. I enjoyed my lunch very much. Definitely will visit again! :)

Highly recommended cafe/restaurant if you are looking for gluten free/dairy free/vegan options. Does beautiful meat dishes too! Friendly service and a great vegan chef who creates tasty, fresh food that stands out above other places we've been. Spacious light filled interior with indoor and sheltered outdoor seating with view of river. Dog friendly outside.

Nice coffee, really nice brunch (avo and eggs). Covid precautions really good apart from one waiting staff member who wore a mask mostly around his chin as a token gesture! Luckily not serving us or we would have left!

Basic food, French toast didn't come with maple syrup and was dry. Smashed avocado was a thin smearing of avo on very thin toast, would have been a million times better on some sourdough or similar. Scarce amount of Feta. Tasted alright enough but the whole meal just felt like they were trying to spend as little money as possible on the food that goes into it.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly happy staff. I had the mussel dish.The mussels were moist soft and tasty the sauce had not been reduced to the correct consistency instead it was runny bland cream and disappointing therefore i give the entire meal a 7/10. My husband enjoyed the omelette with the surprise tantalising delights throughout. He gives the meal 8/10. Meal and drink prices are reasonable. Give this place a try.

We came in, place looks amazing, staff were friendly and professional, the food was fabulous, so tasty and perfect. Atmosphere perfect. Could not find fault. Well done

I had went in for lunch today with my partner and friends, we sat outside the view was great friendly service by the staff. along side our food it was delicious 10/10 would recommend to anyone passing by or just looking for a place to have a good meal.

Lovely place. Attentive service. They were willing to offer anything on the menu without dairy. Our party had risotto, egg Benedict(At 2pm), pasta, waffles, creme brûlée, hot chocolate. Ooh what decadence; feeling a bit guilty now. Everyone left content! Easy payment at the counter. Recommended.

Inviting, waterside set restaurant with a short and delicious menu. Between our party, we had an excellent steak, delicious stuffed chicken and superb fresh fish. Service very friendly and informal. Good drinks menu, including local wines and beers by the glass. Price very reasonable. Would happily go back any time.

Enjoyed brunch there this morning nearer to lunch so had mussels brought with dish and fingerbowl 👍hubby had whitebait omlette...delish we also had delicious brushetta to share. .all really tasty yay grear start to werkend!

Latte was good. Garlic bread wasn't that flash - could do better with keeping it on normal slices of bread.

The staff here are awesome, we even went back fot lunch. I think it was the one place we left a tip in Blenheim. For food go for the fish cakes, and fish or steak for dinner. Dont be afraid to order the t bone, you can always take the rest home for lunch. For lunch, thdir breakfast menu is the best. Was in too much or a hurry to take photos of dinner

The duck dish that I had for brunch was top notch. I would go back just for that. However that dish is not on the online menus, so I don't know exactly what it is called or why it isn't mentioned online!

Great location inside and out with function space. Second visit, food is consistantly good with the tartiflette and omlette the current favorite. Excellent selection of cakes and pastries with store onsite to purchase cakes seperately. Place is a little expensive for those on a budget. Good for special occasion or just coffee and cake!

Absolutely wonderful the food was amazing ,service fun friendly and fast and the dessert my niece had looked gorgeous

Good food, the great downside is the price. Especially during holidays as they add a 15% surcharge. View is nice though.

Nice modern environment with plenty of space between tables. Service was prompt, efficient and very friendly. Small but good wine selection showcasing the local produce but also including other regions where appropriate. Food was delicious with very generous servings. Classics with often a subtle Asian twist. The pork belly entrée and ribeye main were excellent

Dinner tonight with two colleagues and confirmation that we’ll definitely come again when next in town. Good wine list, lots of locals but enough imports to liven it up. Good non alcoholic options for the non drinkers. Scallop entree disappeared fast and garlic bread was an unusual, but delicious twist on the standard. Salmon with saffron risotto was a perfect pairing, and the lamb rack with seasonal vegetables went down a treat. Mousse was “worth forgoing a starter”, cheesecake rated highly and my mango tart was lovely but beaten by the lemon mint sorbet that it came with - perfect finish. It’s not cheap but it is worth it. The view is lovely, good atmosphere and friendly service. Recommend.

Great food, wonderful service, great location. Only reason wasn't 5 stars was because of the flies. Way too many flies. Hard to fix I know, but felt like tables could do with a really good clean down.

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast in this 'lovely outlook' city restaurant rite on the riverside, inside or outside dining. One of our party is celiac, we may have waited a slightly longer for our meals but it was well worth it to have her meal prepared without cross contamination, which she also thoroughly enjoyed. Would dine there again.

Went for breakfast with extended family, everything was fine except for the poached eggs in the "Eggs Raupo" (Eggs Benedict) which were solid, not runny like a good poached egg should be. Can do better eggs at home.

Beautiful setting that flows through into the decor and menu. We were served by a number of staff all of which seemed to be relatively new to their jobs. Not familiar with the menu and lacked any finesse execution of simply tasks like removing the cork from a relatively expensive bottle of wine. Enjoyed the food and although we didn't get a dessert the sweets sounded fantastic. I think the delivery in a couple of areas needs some attention paid to it however I was satisfied.

Went out with friends for an evening meal. The cuisine was wonderful, the selection was great, the service was brilliant and despite the fact that we stayed on and conversed, there was no pressure to leave after we had finished our courses. Well done Raupo team!

Actually My Ex Boss Geoff Connor At Waikawa Fishing 🎣 And Pastor Of The C3 Church In Blenheim Shouted The Men's Home Group Out To Dinner Tonight. The Dining Experience And Service Was First Class, And Our Waitress Sandra Was Very Professional In Everything That She Did. She Actually Delivered Our Drinks And Food In The Order That She Had Taken Them, And On Time. Nothing Was Seem To Be Too Much Of A Problem To Her. We had a fabulous staff breakfast at Raupo Cafe this morning. They opened early for us so we could be at school on time. We preordered so we had plenty of time to enjoy the lovely food. We were very appreciative of this. Highly recommended.

Wow, in dog hostile Blenheim this is a terrific find! Dogs are welcomed with an array of doggy water bowls. Great location, great coffee and even a speculaas cookje on the side. Makes me feel like I am back in Holland. Waitress remembers her clients after 1 previous visit- great service

Good service but small sized portions and very tasty. Presentation was average, coffee was excellent.

Lovely breakfast but when you have eggs you need bread larger than a sugar sachet so you can clean up the yummy yolk plus warm plates would keep food warm Just a wee suggestion. The service was fast, efficient & very friendly. Good price point as well. Thank you

Great coffee and great breakfast. I understand that Raupo has had a change of ownership but nothing has changed on the Restaurant/Cafe floor. Coffee wad delicious. Eggs Bene were demolished and the service was outstanding.

Love the atmosphere in this bustling, light-filled cafe and as a vegetarian I was delighted to find they had interesting options! Us vegetarians are often relegated to pasta and risotto, but the cheese balls are incredible- rich in flavors and textures. My only regret is that this place isn't in my hometown, Nelson.

Best meal in Blenheim on a cold wet night. Superb Seafood chowder. Lovely service. Having the fire was great. Would have loved to try their breakfast if we hadn't been staying at a B&B.

Beautiful views over the Taylor River at The Quays in Blenheim. We stopped for a coffee and water after a ride along the gorgeous river trail. Coffee was good and service was nice and friendly. Can't ask for more. Would love to try a meal someday as those we saw come out looked quite nice!

An amazing dining experience from start to finish. The food was impeccable, flavours blended beautifully. The Creme Brulle was nothing short of perfect. Service was fantastic, friendly and fast. Definitely recommended Raupo as a must do place to dine.

Our evening at Saveur restaurant was faultless, we were welcomed in and given a table even though we hadn't booked. Our meal, wine, dessert and service was excellent. Our Canadian waitress was lovely. The style and layout works very well, food was freshly made and to a high standard. If ever your in Blenheim try it out.

We stopped by here after our long afternoon walk along the local river. We sat outside on the terras and we were quickly and pleasantly served. I drunk a draft lager and my wife a soft drink. This pleasant rest allowed us to recover quickly.

Not as French as I would have liked. Menu written in French of kiwi favourites with a creamy sauce. Nothing too authentic. Also dessert menu pretty standard. Nothing particularly Patisserie about it. It was a large tasty meal, no complaints. Service was excellent. Very large space full of family groups. Not very romantic

This was a great place to have a drink on a hot day. The outside seating was sheltered enough that it wasn't too hot or windy but didn't feel like an extension of inside. There was a wide variety of coffee which I was told was great and the iced chocolate had real ice cream in it and was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great scenery, good food and service

Great location on the river, quite a suntrap!! The cheesy rice balls were an explosion of taste and the squid fettucine was creamy and delicious.

What a great place! We sat on the balcony with our dog and ordered from a range of wines both local an from France. Our adult meals were wonderful and cooked perfect., and very reasonably priced. However the chips on our five year olds plate were far too spicy for on a kids meal menu. I love the fact that Saveur was dog friendly allowing us to eat out somewhere on our otherwise tenting holiday.

Saveur provided a lovely view and spacious dining area with friendly wait staff. We ordered coffee, no food. The lattes were well made and flavoursome with my wife and I enjoying what was presented. Fluffies came with marshmallows keeping the kids well satisfied with their cafe going experience as well.

Lovely wine, best salad, olives, fries....peaceful and picturesque.

I came here with friends after hearing great things and was wowed by the service.. and the pâté!! Seriously, it was so delicious I didn't waste a drop! The staff were friendly and welcoming, we had a lovely view of the river from the terrace and the local wine we were recommended was delicious, as was the pork belly! Would definitely recommend!

An interesting building set on the river in Blenheim. Seemed more set up for meals rather than coffee. Long black was fine, as was the mocha and white chocolate muffin. Toilets were upstairs (not sure about disabled access). Atmosphere of a Swiss chalet without the warmth.

I did debate between three and four. Service was good, food was good, two glasses of wine at one table one was filled more than the other and there were flies around the food outside needs a citronella candle or something.

This place was elegant, and had a great outdoor dining area overlooking the river. (as well as good internal dining with a huge fireplace.) Pretty good food, and service. Interestingly, the toilets were up 2 flights of narrow stairs!

The food is definitely enjoyable, the wait is ok, and I suggest the eggs raupo with a hash brown for a nice, enjoyable reasonably priced breakfast/brunch

We had coffee here this afternoon. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely relaxing views overlooking the Taylor River. My coffee was hot and strong. Sharron had an affogata that earned her praise. We'll be back.

Food was great, staff very friendly and the whole place was clean. We had an issue with our food order as it was lost. As soon as we asked the staff where our meals was. They quickly apologized and gave our drinks and a large bowl of chips on the house. Will be busy again once in the area.

Good attentive service and a table by the log burner. Risotto needed a bit of seasoning as did the salmon. Side order of vege looked like it had been reheated, broccoli wasn't a vibrant green.

Excellent service, lovely setting and well trained staff. Had morning tea here on Sunday, 22 April 2012. the coffee is perfectly our style and the cakes yummy. Have been here before and will come again. Worth the extra mile. Could have sat and enjoyed the spot for ages. Service was great even though they were very busy.

Fantastic location overlooking the river, with great morning sun. Perfect spot for breakfast or brunch. The building, fitout and atmosphere are great, combining a traditional vibe with modern twists. Eggs Benedict were well-cooked and flavoursome, and service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Recommended.

Hi great food and wine but expensive.

Moules frites were delicious and the waiter was very attentive. The cafe is well located beside the river bank and has some charms accentuated by the quirky french quotes on the wall. The fish dish was so-so though thus not a full mark. Would love to see this place thrive.

We enjoyed a great meal here. The meals were decent size too, I had to find some room for the yummy choc brownie.

Great views of the river! Living in Blenheim this is a great place to go after a walk down the Taylor River for lunch. You can watch the river, have great views of the town, see State Highway 1 and sometimes even see a train. It was called Raupo for a long time and then it was renamed. After a while it was renamed back to Raupo. I don't have any negatives about this wonderful place. Try anything from their cake tray believe me, you will thank me later. This is one of the go to places in Blenheim! I wish them all the best going forward.

A nice looking building in a fantastic location in Blenheim. Great for either a full on meal or just a coffee and a sweet treat from the superb patisserie staffed by an expert Italian maestro. The Breakfast is also worth a try.

What a vista! Excellent service from friendly staff. My choice of meal was unbelievably good (thanks chef for going out of his way to accommodate me). I cannot say much more but thank you Raupo Cafe!

Dining beside the river makes this a great choice for dining in Blenheim, but that's about all. The food is nothing spectacular, rather pricey in my opinion. Service could be improved. It is showing signs of age, although it's not that old. Just really not impressive, but not bad either.

Food was fine although chicken in chicken salad was rather dry but otherwise tasty. However, service was disappointing. Started off with hiss and a roar but that was it. Wasn't asked if we wanted another drink and weren't offered the desert menu. Got sick of waiting so left. Young fella who took payment wasnt interested in my comments.

Had a light lunch and shared the pate which was tasty. Even with the name change the menu doesn't always excite however sat outside on the terrace as it was sunny & warm. Nice setting & view of river for visitors.

We had a lovely meal here. Great staff, spacious seating, nice outlook to the river. The fish meals were amongst the best that we have had.

My recent experiences here have been hit and miss. The wait staff are always excellent, the views are great, but often the kitchen lets this place down. For example I recently ordered gluten free French toast, which mostly ok, except that they used a gf bread with seeds and grains. If they had taste tested this themselves they would known this was a bad idea. Other people at my table complained that their portions were smaller than usual. It is pleasing that the wait staff handed the complaints well I am aware that there have been a high level of quality issues. I think that management should focus on ensuring that the kitchen always delivers to the high standards that are expected from a establishment like this. The head chef needs to taste test the GF dishes!

It was a very busy weekend when we we there and we had been turned away by several other places but Raupo stayed open later than most to accommodate a growing queue, found us some wonderful food and coped with increased demand with absolute courtesy and good humour. We fell on our feet and have been recommending them ever since.

Very attractive restaurant in a pretty setting. We were only able to order from the snack menu. Fortunately, it included the mussels and the chicken salad, both excellent.

We went on a very busy night,we hadn't booked, we were told there would be a wait before our meals. There wasnt a wait the food and service were great.

Fabulous service and food. As s group from Christchurch we have for the past 5 years had breakfast at Saveur before leaving Blenheim and never once have been rushed and service and food has been the best.

A rainy Sunday morning breakfast here was wonderful. The meals were fantastic and the service was fast and friendly. The views are beautiful from where ever you are seated too.

Great service and friendly staff . Had the rib eye fillet steak . Big and perfectly cooked to medium rare . Friend had the rolled pork belly. Moist and a nice apple mustard sauce . Desert presentation was stunning especially creme brulee. And jazzed up my vanilla ice cream as I didn't want a liquor . Also the wine recommadation was spot on for my pinot gris.

Dinner was amazing! I had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Wine parings and spirits are a great option. They have a great outdoors area but I opted to sit inside by choice.

Food was very good considering it was a cafe / bistro type of place. Service was good, reasonable prices for the food, alcohol normal expensive self as I have found over here.

Arrived in Picton on a Sunday and everything was closed except for the Saveur Cafe by the river. Spent a peaceful afternoon here drinking a great New Zealand Chardonnay and watching the passing parade. Food was also on offer and looked delicious.

Meal nice, service great to start with. Then forgotten about, had to ask for dessert menu. Disappointed overall this visit compared to other evenings.

Hospitality at the door welcoming us to a warm fireplace on a cold, rainy day. Pumpkin, coconut soup was delicious as was steak sandwich and chicken/brie/bacon salad. French baked goods for the road is always a plus. Sacher, macaroons and tarts.

After touring the west coast of the South Island from Queenstown, we were craving a top quality meal. Raupo delivered!! Portions were a good size with great presentation and a local bottle of wine topped off a great experience. Service was excellent and this restauaurant / bar / cafe was our best meal by a long shot!! The garlic Vienna was so good we ordered another. Thankyou Raupo!!!

This amazing restaurant gives you the opportunity to sit in the shade outside and take in the incredible view of the Opawa River as it flows through Blenheim, or in cooler weather to sit inside in the warm to enjoy the delicious food provided by the very experienced chef.Groups are catered for too, at the large tables, or if you like you can choose to dine in the smaller intimate upstairs room, with an amazing view of Blenheim. So close to town, but with the feel that you are by the riverside.

Delighted to be able to enjoy brunch here on a very busy, rainy, Easter Sunday. Great food. Nice service. Love the location, right on the river.

Beautiful place, lovely friendly staff and delicious food. A little on the expensive price but the atmosphere is worth it. Didn’t take the kids but did see toys and cool wee set up for them and they had high chairs. Definitely recommend.

One of my favourite cafes in Blenheim. Great position above the Taylor river. Great venue (the alcove down the back is great for meetings with a few people).

Good atmosphere, interesting menu, but very average quality food, especially for the price. However their service was excellent and their fries are to die for!

Our go to Cafe. Being able to sit outside with our dog is a huge bonus. Service is great, as is the food and coffee, and a nice view across the river tops it off.

Every year post doing the Magnum Graperide we head here for breakfast. The food is always outstanding and the service excellent.... recommend recommend recommend.

The only few place open on a Sunday. Food was just ok. Big parking lot near by and right in the center of town. It was really busy when we went so sẻvice kinda slow
