Good food and service for an omelette or poached eggs with bacon on toast. Very good long black too

Stopped for breakfast on the way to Hamilton. The food was awesome apart from the warm bread that was supposed to be toast. Most impressed with the young lady that served us. Very pleasant. As we were eating she came over and said " I'm very sorry but I overcharged you . " Nice to see some honesty these days.

The Autobahn Cafe has been a go to for many years and many meals. A massive menu containing all the favourites. There is something for everyone and its all done is quick time with a smile on the face. Well worth stopping at the Autobahn whatever the meal time.

Have always stopped here when travelling to and from Auckland. The food is consistedly very nice the presentation of the meal is great. Coffee and teas are well made and taste incredible. The restaurant is very clean please when visiting.

Great place to stop and relax. Good food, awesome iced coffee! Indoors, outdoors and between seating. Close to a BP to refuel too.

Had a most enjoyable Bolognese that was a decent sized feed for a hungry traveller. The premises were clean and tidy and staff friendly and cheerful. Will definitely be back to try something else on the menu.

Great selection of food and friendly service. Very customer focused and keen to accommodate our food requests. Outdoor table seating is available during level 3. Good range of hours they are open too.

Great place to stop-in for their "most popular breakfast" the picture is of this meal which filled the spot nicely at a small cost of $12.50 with a takeaway coffee, which I actually finished while I was there due to the nice experience of sitting in for the meal.

Great to be able to eat here again (after Lockdown). Once again, excellent food and service. See you next time

Ok cafe, plenty of seating available for peak time periods. Menu is plentiful as well as the standard cafe options. Coffee was good and they even serve beer and wine if needed. Service was friendly and polite

After being highly disappointed at Aucklands Ormiston McDonalds, we decided to stop here instead for breakfast on our way home for New Years. AWESOME FRIENDLY GREAT service * with a smile 🙂. Yum food, great coffee…TAU KĒ AUTOBAHN CAFE!!

This is an ok place a place to grab a bite on the way to Auckland if you are looking something other than fast food. My meal was ok and the best part was the chicken schnitzel, fresh and hot. Mash potatoes seemed to stayed in food window as there was a dry skin on top. Selection of salads not huge, about 5 different ones (basic really).

A clean and tidy truck stop with reasonable food and pricing. Most important the bathroom was clean with paper towels

Myself & my partner & her son & daughter inlaw, stop here for a nosey. We actually were at mcdonalds before taking a look at a different outlook on the menu. Best decision we ever made, lime milkshake went well with the order i had lol. Highly reccomend coming here wither you heading north or south.. Our first time at the Autobarn today for a late lunch/early dinner. Have to say it was fantastic. Huge helpings, tasty well priced meals. Lovely friendly FOH team. Will definitely be back! Thanks for making a dreary winters afternoon enjoyable 😉

Was very impressed with my 1st time here... The Fettuccine potion was huge for $20... It was tasty... The service was great too...tables were cleaned as soon as someone left which is great to see... Bombay is always our go to place on our way to Auckland. Great variety on the menu, always yummy & quick friendly service. Appreciate that the crockery is warmed. We stopped at Papakura autobahn in the weekend & realised the owner has that as well. Great to see that she mingles & chats with customers, helps with service & clearing tables, appears to have great relationships with her staff. Will now use Papakura and Bombay .

I have followed the owner of this shop for awhile since coming back from Oz love there food,awesome atmosphere,Drury shop is the same,but not quiet on Parr with Bombay

Mostly good. Limited options for diabetics for drinks. We were having a group meal, 5 people ordered coffee and one was served in a takeout cup. Everyone was given cutlery with their meals except one. The food was good though.

They have great big meals and a massive menu to choose from. We often stop here if it's going to be too late to cook a decent meal. Prices are good. Service is quick and friendly and the food is good value. Loads of parking and even when it's busy, there's plenty of seating and dining room.

A Good place to stop for meals any time of day. We travel to and from Hamilton on a regular basis and have stopped here many times for coffee and early breakfast. Always had good service and freshly baked muffins and other delicious food. Highly recommended and always busy. Keep up the awesomeness Autobahn!

Busy noisy but not bad for a quick stop over for lunch during ones drive back to Matamata. It's really just a quick 'pit stop one has to say as I believe it was origionally set up to be . Good attentive staff however.

We stopped there for the first time last Saturday evening on our way back to Napier. The food was lovely and a guy called Janmeet who severed us gave us a top notch service. Nice young lad. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

Good food & affordable prices. And a decent size serving as well. Menu will cover most tastes + Daily Specials. Good coffee and a good selection of desserts and cakes etc. The place was clean and the staff were pleasant. 3 seating areas and a 'humane' smoker's area. The toilets were clean as well.

I had a medium rump steak, eggs and chips meal. The steak was cooked to medium properly but was a bit tough, the rest of it was okay - did the job and was filling. The service was fine. Probably my biggest complaint would be that they don't let you use the toilet unless you've made a purchase and ask for the code. This is the first time I've seen this in NZ. It's somewhat demeaning and not particularly friendly IMO.

Such a lovely young Indian lady who served us with a great smile and accomodated our quirky dining request. The large coffee is mega large.

This place is great to get a good standard feed. A wide ranging menu at sharp prices. Fast service at the counter and short waits for food even when busy. Large with seating areas for one or two up to a dozen. Washroom facilities. Top spot for a bite before getting back to the big smoke.

Always up to standard. A huge variety of food and beverages including wine. Constantly good humoured staff. More than ample sized meals which are served hot, well cooked and tasty. Good parking. Clean toilets. The perfect stopover.

Visited here for my birthday lunch today found it to be very clean and the staff quite friendly and helpful. The service was quick and the food we ate was of very good quality and fresh and very enjoyable. Would return there again as it wasnt too expensive had a good variety to choose from

We arrived late, and somewhat desperate, but they served up a good plate of fish and chips, and a delicious wrap. The smoothies are really good too. The eating areas and bathrooms were reasonably clean. The service was good and friendly. Overall, would recommend, and we'll probably be stopping here again. The only thing is they don't seem to be allergy friendly, with allergy or intolerance options.

Best coffee in town and awesome breakfasts meals. Also very honest - a friend of mine accidentally left his laptop behind in this restaurant and the staff picked it up and safely stored it until we returned. Would highly recommend this place.

Always a good place to stop off for refreshments before having to tackle the nightmare traffic of Auckland. The food is good and the service quick thats one of the reasons we stop there and also because its a comfortable environment to enjoy our refreshments whatever they are.

A popular and very good cafe conveniently located for the weary travelers who do not want to deviate off the Auckland motorway to enjoy a quick bite and coffee. This place has a very good food safety rating staff are friendly and helpful. More importantly the food and beverages are great. Well worth trying if you are heading north and want a break there is plenty of parking.

If you're passing through recommend you stop in grab a coffee relax at McDonald's or the cafe then grab something for the trip from the mini mart they have reasonable prices on munchies check it out

Fantastic staff, very helpful the family before me had dietary requirements an they happily obliged even tho it was not on their board menu. I ordered the fish pan which was cooked perfectly. Totally recommend

I meet up with a friend here. Convenient location and good coffee. As a vegan you have very little to offer. Even your potato skins are covered with dairy products and meat. Sure I could ask you to not add those things but I bet I would still be charged the full price. Who wants to pay $10 plus for some fried potato? The continual charge for soy milk is no longer justified. Who ever throws out unused soy milk? So many people have dairy intolerance. The cost of soy milk is nearly on par with cows milk and there is already a milk cost factored in the standard cost of a coffee. Just saying!! In the end I was able to get some dairy free porridge made but got charged for soy milk...yet not discounted for the cows milk that I didn't consume. 😒

The food was luke-warm (a couple of items even cold) even though it was brought out "fresh". Nice enough flavours on the works burger, but probably won't be in a rush back. Quick service which was good.

Found this a great place to stopover for s bite to eat while travelling. They have a wide range of meals from "bangers and mash" to deluxe burgers, Bolognese or roast dinner (not beef but pork & lamb roast). We chose a lamb roast that hit the hunger spot for us. What we couldn't eat we were able to take away. Free WiFi to keep in touch on the internet was a welcome option too.

The Autobahn Cafe situated at Bombay services South of Auckland on the SH1 is an ideal place to stop for a meal and a refreshing drink. We have stopped here twice recently and have found the menu to be highly satisfactory on both occasions. There is a daily specials board on display outside the main door so you have the opportunity to see if there is anything on it that you fancy. Depending on the time of day you arrive there will be a suitable menu such as breakfast, lunch or dinner to choose from. The food is reasonably priced and the quality is very good.

Fantastic service from Heather, very polite, meals were fresh and quick.

Had a 9.30pm meal stop. Flat white coffee had far too much froth. Vegetarian omelet has ham in it. They did fix this very quickly. They do have gluten free meals but some staff need more experience with menu.

Yummy food and breakfast served all day! The Eggs Benedict is worth going here for on its own but the rest of the food on the menu is also well worth the money and the eating. Regularly stop here on way in and out of Auckland. So easy to get in and out of and loads of parking.

We pulled in off SH1 and ordered a fish burger, fish and chips, and a calamari salad. Frying seems to be their forte as the burger and the F&Cs were good although very light on the greens, while the calamari salad took twice as long to arrive and came with lettuce browned off at the cuts. Hope they weren't rescued from the compost. I see they're celebrating 25yrs and we've probably been calling in sporadically through that time. Hope the current operation starts treating salads as part of the meal

This place is a must if you have kids are in the car and have been driving for hours and need a fast effective meal for everyone. It's never going to win haute cuisine awards but if you like a solid big breakfast that will fill the void or hot food after a long drive check it out

Coffee slopped into saucer on delivery with no comment from person who brought it. After waiting 20 minutes had to ask for our 2 small pies that had to be warmed. They were horrible. No apologies or comment from the duty manager who served us. All of this for $27. Guess we won't go back

My go to stop on my way to Auckland. It's always clean and the service and food are great. They have very clean rest rooms for their customers and a friendly manner

We frequently stop at autobahn when traveling because of their great Gluten Free range. Breakfast, Lunch,or evening meal always good. If there needs to be something said, it would be the weak tea. 1 t. bag for a pot!! I always ask for an extra t bag and always receive. 9 out of 10.

This is a much nicer Cafe than the one at Papakura. The staff are always friendly and polite. They even say please and thank you while staff at the other one don't. Unfortunately, we don't stop at this one as often as we do the other because on the way home we just want to keep going and get home...Still, it's nice to eat and be served here. At the other one, my partner was violently ill about half an hour after he ate a full breakfast. TO make it worse, there was no service. No please, no thank you. Plus he had to pay for the privilege of getting poisoned (probably by the sausages)

Always a great stop for a coffee and a snack. Food is always good and often an interesting meal of the day to tempt you. Have been stopping there for years and will continue to do the same for years to come.

OK group of shops. Parking is ok. Toilets could do with a spruce up. Getting back on the main road can be a complete pain in the bum due to the traffic from Pukekohe and the motorway being busy. I much prefer the Pokeno shops.

Tell you what, usually I'd drop by here on the way back from tauranga, and it'll be nice but pretty generic, BUT recently I must admit I am thoroughly impressed with the service. The caramel banana cupcake is amazing, and the nice young lady who served me suggested to heat it up, and it was a stunner suggestion. Keep her on for the team, she is very polite and friendly and the type of personality that lifts your spirits after a long drive. Well done

The AUTOBAHN is one of our go to eateries .. I really don't like paying for something I can just as easily make myself..especially if it is not up to scratch..but the Autobahn..is always staffed by friendly and helpful folk, the food, whatever we decide on, is always lovely and priced not too far over the top 😉 the layout is comfy and plenty of room for large whanau groups.. or.. just 1 or 2. Lovely place .. 1/2 way to everywhere 😎

It's a bit of a favourite stopping place for travellers heading north. However, and unfortunately, my travelling companion bought a steak pie, which had no steak...All gravey. Perhaps it should have been advertised as a gravey pie.

Stopped on my way from Kaiwaka to Te Kuiti . Good coffee ,bacon and eggs at good price. Going to stop there again this year as its got reasonable parking gas station if you need it and a Mc Donalds although I prefer my bacon and eggs to be real!

Convenient stop at the top of the Bombay Hills, nothing fancy about the food just good solid comfort food here. Staff are friendly, service is prompt, with a clean generous seating area.

The best Gurnard and chips. Nice thin batter that is cooked perfectly.

Good range of quality foods. Prices reasonable. Service is quick. Visit here on way home as have escaped Auckland traffic and relax for rest of journey

This is a lovely place with good staff but the only problem we have with this place is that they didn't fillet there fish properly as there was bones in it but apart from that we will revisit again

Not as good as when we had visited during the day. Meals need to be consistent no matter who's cooking.

Certainly better than McDonalds, we visited fairly early in the morning - fairly average service and food but worse options were available.
