A.Great coffee and delicious pies and sausage rolls. Good selection perfect for a little break during a road trip.
P.Good food without being outstanding, and not a huge range or variety. Similar with the coffee, good but not great. So much seating it wasn't funny, indoor and outdoors. Nice staff, bathrooms were okay, heaps of parking both 9n the street and out the back. Slightly pricey.

T.Good place to stop for Lunch. If you are looking for fancy food and some Kombucha drive another 500km to Ponsonby. This place has Kiwi Food like it used to be served, hot, good portions and tasty. Chicken Burger & Chips and BLT and Chips for $20 - Good place to feed the kids. Friendly Staff and the Cook did a great job.
A.This is a great little cafe that has great food and is an ideal place to stop as you pass through bulls
J.Ordered the kiwi breakfast: bacon, two eggs, toast and hash browns. The bread was buttered on both sides and possibly browned on the griddle. The eggs could be scrambled, poached or fried.
Ordered the bacon crispy, came out good. Still not like bacon in the US, but not bad. Eggs were poached well. Pretty filling breakfast for $14.00. Hubby ordered a spiced chai latte, he didn't think it was a spiced chai, a bit more foamy than normal.
He ordered his eggs fried, they were sunnyside up not over easy like we've seen everywhere else. The whites were not cooked all the way. Hashbrowns could have been cooked a little longer, but they did soak up a bit of oil.
Lots of variety and decent meal deals.

R.Food only in cabinet kitchen closes at 2pm. Not really worth it if you had your heart set on hot food. Nice coffee and bakery food was just your usual.

Cross the road, new information centre with a huge bare land for my dog to run around.
R.Ups were it was reasonably clean, there was plenty of variety and the coffee was pretty good just a little tepid. Downs were the pies were cold and the chips were cold and oily and the potato on the savoury tasted like it was some kind of powdered potato which wasnt great.

I.I visited around 9.30am after leaving Hamilton at 4.30am on my way to catch a midday ferry from Wellington to Picton. Thought I'd stop in Bulls for breakfast. It's a meal i seldom have, and when I do I like a good one. After a bit of a scout this seemed to be the best option.
Walking in it had a nice relaxed atmosphere with different seating options. I had already thought I'd like french toast - a weird kind of random thought. I hadn't had french toast for decades. There were a few people sitting round, a couple of truckers, a young lady knitting and a few random travellers.
The blackboard menu had french toast. So I ordered it along with a flat white. Nineteen dollars fifty said the lady behind the counter. A bit dear I thought for two slices of toast dipped in egg and milk and fried. But no. When it came it was bread topped with bacon and banana on a plate that was awash with syrup. I don't know how the bread had been done. But all I could taste was syrup. I have a REALLY sweet tooth but this was too sweet even for me. I couldn't taste the bacon and I couldn't finish the meal. So I left a bit disappointed and overcharged. I would go back however as it did have a nice breakfast atmosphere. I'd just make sure I knew what I was ordering.
