M.Went out for a long drive from Auckland on a wet Saturday and found this beautiful cafe nestled in Cambridge.
This cafe doesn't cater for Halal, so we ordered the vege breakfast, eggs benedict (on potato rosti), side fries, chocolate slice, iced americano & decaf latte.
The cafe was clean, staff were nice and food was delicious 😋 will definitely go back next time I'm in town

D.I also had the $7 Nachos and I have to say, it was absolutely spot on. Just the right amount of corn chips to beef n bean mix, with some decent guacamole on top and sour cream. All home made - I suspect. And this coffee and the Vanilla slice - also absolutely spot on. I found the icing a little intense for the custard part (ratio) but thats just my own tastebuds. Realllllly good - Lovely service and staff all friendly and engaging - defintely worth your visit....

R.Food, coffee and overall experience is a delight every time. The chefs seem to take a lot of pride in the quality of the food, the staff is friendly and make an effort to remember your name, and the new owner is enhancing an already stellar reputation. One of Cambridge’s best cafes and definitely “where the locals go”.

M.Their seafood chowder is absolutely perfection...and I should know as I've traveled the country sampling seafood chowders! The chowder was packed with seafood , the chowder itself was rich and flavorsome.
The staff were friendly, the coffeehouse was quite busy but our food arrived after a short wait.

Menu varied beverages and food good . However prices not shown next to food. Have mentioned this to them over the years but no change.
Can get very noisy inside to keep in mind if taking those with hearing issues. Outside seating front and rear.

P.We found this place by searching Google for a place to have morning tea. We really loved our stop here and it's easy to see why they're busy. The service was excellent and the staff really friendly. The food was excellent and the coffee equally great.

A.Enjoyed a lovely anniversary lunch here in the middle of a massive electrical storm. Really memorable and the food was fantastic. The potato skins are highly recommend!
M.We visited for lunch with friends. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we straight away felt relaxed. Dog friendly cafe. Our dog Harry and our friend's dog Vinnie were offered dog fluffies with bacon. Harry scoffed his down in seconds. Food was great. The custard squares are devine. Best we have ever tasted. I highly recommend them.

T.Delicious food. Excellent, friendly service - hard-pressed to keep up with how busy their customers keep them. If buying the build-your-own brunch, be aware that the serving size on the hollandaise sauce is on the small size. (Translation: I felt the quantity was overpriced, even if absolutely delicious!) Lovely courtyard with good shade on a hot day. Great to find another dog-friendly cafe.

A.Overall food and drinks were good, but we found a sharp piece of clear plastic in the seafood chowder. They refunded the order after we asked but it is still extremely dangerous because it wasn't until it was in my mouth that I realized something was wrong since the clear colour of the plastic blended in with the chowder.
This place also charges $2 for hot OR warm water which I was disappointed with because I wasn't feeling too well and just wanted some warm water to ease my stomach.
T.Love going here whenever I'm in the area the food is amazing varied delicious made with love. The attention to detail the little extras are what makes this menu far from ordinary. Customer service is personal welcoming and star quality A+++

D.Cambridge newly formed bike riding group meets every Friday at 10am at Absolute Cafe. Afterwards many members stop for a coffee and treat. Come and join is if this sounds interesting to you. All ages, it may split into smaller groups to suit experience of rider. It's well organised and supported.
