Reviews of In Stone Cafe
J.Okay not a bad place. Not a huge fan of their coffee, it has been hard finding coffee here in NZ. We came in and placed our order, seems normal for two people to pay a little over $30 for each meal total.
I ordered their egg meal which I ordered poached eggs (2) served over Vogel with bacon. Well the bacon was long pieces, not so uniform. But they were soft like ham, with a semi sear. Was thinking more of crispy strips.
Hubby got the french toast which came with bananas and bacon.
He also got a long black, which at one place we were told a long black is like an americano in the USA. It seemed to be espresso served with cream and water. There were sugar pots on the table. We were missing salt and pepper.
Staff were friendly enough.

S.The chicken filo was absolutely delicious, so fresh and tasty, I could have eaten 7 more. I did wish it was bigger but that was probably just because I was so hungry. The carrot cake was also delicious, so soft and very yummy! My friend said the savory muffin she had was super yummy as well, the best she's had in Australasia! The coffees were great as well, we loved how you offered oat milk! Winning all round!

F.It's a lovely little cafe my one complaint is that because I don't go there very often I always get confused where the counter is, as they have placed their coffee machine right in front it's not a major and certainly not worth changing however it always gets me. It is also worth noting that is it is Cambridge I feel the vibe inside there on a weekday morning is quite snobby. This of course is not in stone Cafe fault as that is the nature of Cambridge.
These issues are minor the coffee is fantastic and affordable and the food at least what I have tried is very nice
C.Great place for breakfast. Stopped here twice when up for Fieldays. Fast, friendly professional stuff. Great coffee. Eggs Benedict w Bacon was great as was the mince on toast.

s.I had the savoury mince with a poached egg and no toast, and was immediately disappointed, the egg wasnt a nice ball, but was flat and yolk was sold the mince wasnt well seasoned and the peas in it were grey (over cooked), I had asked to make the breakfast up with "sides" to remove the cost of the toast, but was charged the same for no toast as if I had included toast. The coffee was a bit blah.
G.My burger was dry and tasteless and inedible - they did however discount the bill. Perhaps just a once off, rest of family's meals were ok.
Not a fan of distressed outdoor tables, you could scrape off built up 'crud'. They need a good scrubbing.
