Reviews of Boat Shed Cafe
J.Great food here and the covered outdoor area is right on the river, perfect to catch that summer breeze. You can see the eels right on the edge of the boardwalk and the kids love it. Recommend the punting as well, the punter we had obviously loved his job and had a personality larger than life ❤
M.What a lovely cafe to find! The food was tasty but the friendly staff really made this special. I loved the peaceful environment sitting next to the river drinking my coffee. We sat there for hours waiting for the outcome of a family member’s surgery in the hospital next door and not once did the staff pressure us to move on. Definitely a great cafe to visit!
A.My favourite breakfast spot as they open at 7am. Great coffee and food selection and exceptionally lovely service by a lady who has been there for many years. Very relaxing gazing out on the Avon River and watching the ducks diving in and out of the water. No parking fee before 9am either!
M.(Rating coffee) Very well made, delicious coffee! Ordered a t/a triple shot cappuccino- very much enjoyed it 🤤.
Was my first visit. Will definitely return to explore the cafe and the menu.

K.First time visiting the Boat shed cafe just had a drink after the Park Run. The staff are pleasant and service is good. There was a good selection of vegetarian food in the cabinet.

t.A top spot to drink ☕ or eat lunch ...then jump on a boat or canoe paddle up river..love it.
H.Ordered stuffed kumara but some of vegs were not as cooked as I would like. View was amazing as usual I just love sitting and watch people in and around the river. Staff friendly
M.Food good. Staff lovely. Riverside seating and views. Good brunch option. Local sparrows can be entertaining.
