Lots to choose from at this place! Nice and clean set up. We bought a variety of things for our road trip back to Queenstown - $40 got us two drinks, two pies, three slices and a slice of tart. Reasonable prices for what you get (size wise of the food) and it tasted yummy and the service was friendly.

Delicious food. We only had toasted sandwiches but they were well filled and properly cooked. Followed by Apple shortcake and passion fruit cheesecake. Both tasty. The iced coffee was a revelation, with cream and ice cream, and the thickshake as good as anywhere. All servings were a good size and the prices most reasonable. Not to be missed.

Good selection of good food, very reasonably priced.

Lots of selection of pies, slices and sweets, and other savourys like sandwiches. Coffee was great too! All of the food we got was yummy, and was a reasonable price compared to other places in Tekapo. Has lots of seating in and outside.

Just bought the most delicious bacon and egg toasties for breakfast plus coffees. Great price and lovely service. We'll be back again 😊

The food here is beautiful and the coffee superb. The food is not your run of the mill cafe food. It's chef quality. I would 100%recommend eating here if your in Tekapo.

Had toasted sandwiches cheese / tomato and cheese/ pineapple followed by chocolate caramel slice. Also tea for Two. Good service and everything was very nice. Also reasonably priced.

The best place to have food. Yummy, too many varieties with nominal price range. We had Veg and chicken burgers which was more than sufficient for a person. Taste was awesome. Restaurant is Specious and staff was too humble and sweet. Totally recommended.

Cordon bleu with chips and hot chocolate were really delicious. It worth for that price, it was big and tasty portion. I can recommend this place, it is very friendly and cozy. I would come back for sure.

These guys run the fish & chips shop next to it in the evenings. If you're around town looking for a quick fix for dinner, you won't regret trying them out. They serve absolutely brilliant fish & chips, and burgers, with a plethora of sides and add ons. Their burgers are really good and I'd be back just for them. I personally like the battered fish than the crumbed ones though.

Everything is overpriced at Tekapo for the sparsity. Doughboy's had great selection and they are all relatively economical. I had the bacon and eggs on toast and they were good!

Large selection of bakery foods and great coffee! I have not ordered food here yet, though the coffee was beautifully made and ready within a minute. Very busy New Years day . Plesant staff and nicely present cabinets. Very good prices. Food placed on plates for takeaways. Highly recommend

Perfect kiwi breakfast fare. Filling and not too fancy. Cheap as chips. Totally recommend if in Tekapo.

Cheapest and biggest portions in Tekapo. Best option for hungry travellers on a budget. Chicken was Tegel/halal when we went.

Perfect. Following all the vaccine mandate rules, food nice and service friendly and quick. Good for a quick snack on trip.

Lovely local cafe. Great food and drinks at very affordable prices (not a tourist money drainer) I had a walnut brownie and it was delicious. Big breakfast $15.50 bargain!!!!

Good food for the reasonable price, not often the case in Tekapo for food places...it is generally expensive - to be expected though considering it is a high tourist area.

The line up of work boots outside made me think this is where the locals go. And after having a delicious breakfast here I can see why. We had the big breakfast and not only did it arrive quickly to our table but everything was so well cooked and tasty. The cafe doesn't look much from outside (it's a bit spartan) but don't let that put you off. Your tummy and your wallet will thank you.

A definite go to, highlight of Tekapo. There was a great variety of rolls, cakes, pies, sandwiches etc. so many things to choose from, wanted to order everything. Not 5 star food but awesome value and still tasted good. Quick service and the guy serving us was very friendly. Will definitely stop there again!

Small cafe great for a quick bite good basic food burgers are nice and filling only down side was there could have been a rubbish bin in the outside aera to put our empty cans as can get very windy in teakpo and stuff was flying everywhere.

One of a few options, but does simple breakfasts, good selection of pies, excellent cakes, sandwiches, panini and drink selection. May not look the most upmarket of places compared to others but good food, cake slice sized, well priced and really very friendly staff. Will take whanau here again next time we visit.

Good holesome food at a reasonable price

Got many choices for breakfast (pie, toast, sandwich, cake, coffee and so on)

We had breakfast at this cafe last week. Almost all the cafes and restaurants in this area are way too expensive. But, this is quite reasonable and tastes good as well. We had egg burger and omlette on toast. Both were good. They have nice dessert options like banana cake, carrot cake etc. Overall it was really good and service was quick.

Best place for breakfast 2 eggs...streaky bacon, and toast....$10 ....unbelievable price....unbelievabley good. Great coffee. Very busy - 29th December, but only 10min wait for sit down brekkie, very efficient, very friendly, the size and prices of other cabinet food was more 1980's prices. Every town should have a doughboy like this......we travelled all over the south island and this place was the best value for money and efficiency, absolutely recommend.

Good coffee, good service

Pleasant bakery-cafe on the main highway, but near the lake itself... no views. Ample food variety, but not what I'd call top quality. Managed by Asian staff. Understandable English is spoken.

Quick breakfast at a good price.

Good value for money. You can get almost everything breakfast worthy-from toasties to muffins to even a full breakfast. It does get really busy at peak times but the wait is not too long.

Serves wide variety of pastries, cakes and drinks with reasonable price. Salmon quiche was good!

Friendly staff, large and yummy portions of slices from the cabinet, and good coffee combine to make this a good destination for afternoon tea at least. All prices were extremely reasonable as well. The only letdown was the chai latte's quality which wasn't up to standard on this occasion.

A small cafe specialised in toast melts and burgers and cabinet food like slides sandwiches etc. Nothing too special or to pick about. The impressive thing is that they open year round even on Christmas day! The queue in getting any food was crazy long but moving pretty fast and serving pretty quickly too.

Great for a quick snack if you don't want to break the bank. They grill the cheese toasties here. Blueberry muffin was slightly dry and needed more blueberries. They also sell pies for $5.

The baked goods are very...dense. Hard to get through and it’s kind of weird that they’re all covered in glad wrap even during the middle of the day. Pretty steep prices for average food.

Basic delicious food, quick service and well priced. We had 2x onion cheese toastie, coffee, juice and new york cheesecake for 22$. All fantastic and I am quite picky on food

LIfe safer when arrive here around 2+pm where the other was taking a rest, I took Quiche, a Latte and Brownies. Taste was ok and price reasonable. Should have try their Lagsana and salmon sandwich though, look very tasty to me ;)

Ordered food was OK for the price, drinks were great and anything in the cabinets is good. They gave my boys the milk in glasses so they got to drink the rest that they didn't use in the cereal which was nice.

It's ok place compared to Greedy Cow. Staff is kind and polite. Reasonable rates not very expensive.

This is a small bakery cafeteria which means like any bakery the earlier your in the better the food. Good for a quick bite with the kids.

Just been to doughboys lake tekapo. Service was poor, 1.30pm ,2 staff on,attitude off dont care , girl serving and making coffee .and customer left to wait . Really poor
