L.A friend told me Espresso has the best coffee in Christchurch. I tried a long black and it is indeed the best coffee I’ve ever had.
A.Great hidden cafe. Me and my wife had an apple pie and vegan caramel slice. Absolutely devine! Not too sweet and full of flavour.
The owners Marcus and Maria are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They roast their own coffee too!
Fantastic coffee, amazing food, great atmosphere and customer service. Will be back for more soon!
A.So, on their menu is a delicious house blend espresso which is packed full of fruit flavours. It’s fantastic!!
But intriguingly, they also have a $10 espresso on the menu which is so audacious I had to order it.
And WOW!! It rocked my world. Every mouthful was packed full of flavours.
We’ve been back once already and it’s our new favourite coffee shop in New Zealand.

I had the berry granola with yoghurt, banana and honey 😋 I think this place has changed hands and might now be called Viking Coffee, but the Espresso 245 signs are still outside to guide you there. The owner was super nice! He gave me a complimentary sparkling water with my breakfast. This place is tucked away down an alley so don't miss it!
J.Best coffee ever, great fresh cabinet selection, feijoa crumble to die for, bacon and egg keto cup a real treat, friendly service.... Need to come back with more time to sample the menu. A must visit!!!!
T.Such a neat little artesanal cafe tucked away close to Little High. I was actually recommended to visit by my usual coffee guy.
Both the coffee and service are exceptional. Owners Marcus and Maria are really friendly and are happy to spin a yarn! If you’re into salsa and bachata music, you’ll love this place. Certainly a highlight for me.

R.Best coffee in town. Try the batch coffee and you will be truly amazed that coffee can have such aroma and array of flavours. The expresso is awesome. It ruins you for coffee anywhere else. The food is top shelf too.

T.Espresso 245 is a cozy little cafe tucked away down an ally. They have very sweet staff who are always good for a chat. They also offer a unique caffeine free rooibos cappuccino.
