Wonderful shop to browse and buy some gifts and thing for yourself. I thought the prices were reasonable. There is a cafe here where you can get yummy things to eat. I thought I had taken more pictures here to show off the shop. Bargin prices on t-shirts from kids through to adults.

A small place for a quick stop throughout your journey. They offer food, drinks and coffee, as well as a large selection of souvenirs and wool garments.

Ate lunch at the Merino Country Cafe. The hand made pies and expresso coffes were great. Bought some touristy tshirts cheap. They also have a waterfall and pond, viwed from the inside of the cafe. Minutes away from the airfield which hosts world class gliding events at Glide Oramama. Three minutes away. Right turn to get back on the highway, take the first road on the right (Airport Road )

Unexpectedly good meal! I ordered the corn fritter with bacon and the corn fritters were light and tasty - super delicious. Partner had a vegan burger (basically the vegetarian burger) and it was fresh and yummy also. Friendly service and speedy food. They also have a range of cabinet food, scoop ice cream (&freezer ice cream) as well as selection of teas and coffees to have here or to go. 👍

I don't think they expected it to be as busy as it was today! There was only a limited range of food choices left when we got there over the lunchtime period. However, Omarama was the busiest I've ever seen it so I'm not surprised! The food we did get was good and the service was quick and friendly, the store had some great products so no complaints. Thanks.

Nice shop warm and inviting, lots of choices from fridge magnets to $2500 Alpaca blankets. Coffee was good but apple muffin wasn't, a bit undercooked. Others had scones which were very good they say.

We stopped over for a coffee here in Oamarama. It is a souvenir shop and the cafeteria t the back as you walk in. Ice cream also offered at the cafe. Friendly staff and great service.

I had lunch at the Merino cafe today, the coffee was the best I have had in a long time.. The beef burger I had was huge and very nice, lots of fillings and flavour. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, I loved the smiles and nice welcome to they gave me. Very clean and tidy cafe. I give them 5 stars and 👍👍👍👍👍

Good selection of pies, quiche and sandwiches. Designed with the tourist by the coach load in mind! Good service, good food but priced for a captive market! ‘Souvenir’ shop in the front that you have to walk through to get to the cafe. Clean toilets...always a good sign!

Lovely little stop whether you are just in the area or a catching the bus this coffee shop will not disappoint. Delicious snacks, treats and meals to choose from and really wonderful drinks. Super cute atmosphere no matter rain or shine. My partner and I enjoy stopping here when we can.

Great service in a modern setting. Sausage rolls and coffees were very nice. Plenty of souvenirs to look at if that is your thing.

Some good discounts here from a shop that must be suffering with a lack of overseas tourists. BUT it really shouldn't be selling T Shirts that have a slogan on them that Aotearoa was established in 1840. Rather controversial!

$2.90 for big sausage and $2.90 for a cup of fries Not a bad deal. Coffee was a bit weak. The staff was nice and the fire was warm. The gift shop prices are very low (12 keychains for $12)

Travelling from Queenstown to Christchurch via this small town. The recommended Merino Bumper was huge with lots of ingredients, definitely enough for a grown man. Coffee is fine and staff is very friendly. Bought a possum jersey from the gift shop upfront and other little things. A nice stop for tourists.

They have kiwifruit pavlova tip top ice cream. What more could you want? Also a delicious spicy beef salad. Great little cafe.

It was good, you pay for what you get, I got the spicy beef tortilla and it was good. Its not very busy and barely gets any customers which is sad, but it's still good and well priced.

Souvenir store/Cafe. Basic baked , fried and sweet goodies and good coffee. Public toilets right next to cafe is well maintained. Petrol stations nearby to cafe too.
