Great eggs Benedict + Salmon 🥰 Smash avo too. Good portions, worth the price. Nice ambience & deco! Would come again!

A nice brightly lit Cafe. A great range of food with toasted sandwiches, toasted bagels and a brunch & lunch option. There are plenty of tables and the staff were friendly and efficient. Its a good location if you are in the area.

We have visited this restaurant twice in the last one year and we had entirely different dishes - all vegetarian. All the dishes we had here were delicious, well presented and made with good ingredients. In the most recent visit, we had the Mediterranean Delight and Smashed Avocado Fritters. We also had Green and Citrus freshly squeezed juices - they were both superb! A relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff, good menu and food - all combine together for a positive experience. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff. Excellent chips and fried chicken sandwich. Nice selection of toasties and I love all the greenery inside.

Beautiful food, natural ingredients and delicious. Had the waffle omelette special, a iced mocha with coconut milk and a plum spiced iced tea. Husband had the Summer toast and great flat white. Lovely cafe and staff friendly and helpful :)

Absolutely loved having brunch here. We had avocado smash and mushroom w/ truffle oil. Actually, it was a try for some new foods we haven't had. Avocado smash comes with halloumi cheese which was fantastic combination and remarkably tasty. However, mushroom was too salty to feel flavor of truffle oil and below average. Nice coffe and friendly staff.

The taste is very good and the price is very affordable. Very clean, love this place! highly recommended.

Lovely setting and service and while food tasted nice it was on the small side. Would of liked more greens with the eggs benne.

It’s a shame I can’t give this place more than 5 stars because it’s a definite 10/10 for me! Visited today as was hosting an event next door to Moment and was in need of some coffee and snacks for some very hungry hairdressers and Emma and Moment really delivered! The cafe itself is absolutely stunning, so much love and thought has gone into the atmosphere and design and the plants and lightning are incredible! The food is all made from scratch in house and was delicious and nothing was too much of a problem for our fussy eaters! On top of that the coffee was brilliant and the team were really warm and friendly! Wish I had the opportunity to have a full lunch there but definitely will make time to enjoy a MOMENT there on the next visit to CHC

French toast, breakfast and chicken burger we ordered. All of them really loved. Something different. But iced mocha was 9 dollars. Little bit surprised.

Fun menu with beautiful presentation!

On holiday in Chch and tap and grind is always a ritual. Once the confusion was gone went in anyway and was not disappointed. The big breakfast was soooo good and coffee superb. New ritual.

Very good service and coffee. Plus they are super dog friendly! They remembered my dog from when we visited months ago!

Yummy food and great environment. The only thing is that we ordered two classic breakfast, one with the avocado, one without.

We had breakfast and lunch here 4 days in a row. The presentation of their food is brilliant. Nice, bright and leafy indoors. Perfect for a business meeting or just a great breakfast. The coffees are also consistently perfect!

Up early for my daughters morning net ball game, in the rain a hot breakfast was in order. The Big Breakfast was awesome and the Eggs Benedict Salmon out of this world:)

Inside was beautiful for starters! I've never seen such big hanging plants. I had the creamy mushrooms with a side of bacon and it was delicious, the best I've had in quite some time! The coffee was also great, I tried a Vietnamese coffee along with my regular tulip flatwhite and pleasantly enjoyed how refreshing it was. Will definitely be coming back here.

I absolutely love this cafe. In all honesty it’s a few shops down from work so I thought I would give Moment a try for convenience. I now come here far too often, it’s still convenient but definitely not why I still come back, several times a week! Their smashed avo is amazing actually all of their food is- I’ve tried most! The front staff Charlotte Is also a reason to come back time and time again. She greets absolutely everyone with such a friendly, warmth and elevates the whole experience. If you haven’t already pop in for a moment!

Just wanting to mention how efficient the customer service is here! Had organised an online gift card from Moment Cafe as a birthday gift for someone, but accidentally given the wrong email address. The staff at Moment Cafe are brilliant and sorted it out in no time, no hassle at all. Will definitely pay a visit here the next time I’m in Chch.

Love the food that comes out of this place. Service is always super friendly. Charlotte makes the best green juice!! One of my regular places to stop for lunch or just a coffee/snack. Highly recommend the fried chicken burger!

Delicious food, lovely helpful staff.

It’s pretty rare to find a cafe that serves all your needs but that’s what moment does! Catering for all dietary requirements without it being a hassle. Sooo much great vegan food that even meat eaters enjoy it. Then there’s coffee. Don’t get me wrong all the staff including the owner make a great cup BUT if you are lucky enough to get yours made by Charlotte you will not be disappointed! Literally the perfect cup of coffee that is soo good it tempts you to have seconds. Also handy location too and even couches to lay back and relax on. Basically regardless what you look for in a cafe, Moment has you covered from head to toe.

Yum! This cafe was delicious! We ventured out a bit to visit as we were on the other side of the city but it was so worth it. I had the vegan Benedict and my partner had the French toast and they were amazing. The sponge on the Benedict was so unique. So nice to have so many vegan options! Thanks again and see you again next time we are in town!!😊

I go to Moment for breakfast, brunch or lunch at least once every time I’m back in Christchurch. The quality of the food, drinks and service never ceases to amaze me. The menu changes every few months, which I love, and every time I have found many items on the menu that I’d like to try. Emma and her team do their upmost to make you feel welcome and their attentiveness is what a lot of cafes lack. For the quality of the food, Moment is very well priced and I look forward to visiting again! 5 stars all around.

EDITED: I decided to try this place again after almost 6 months. I'm glad I did. The smashed avacado dish for lunch was so tasty. The price is what you'd expect to pay at most cafes. It could have done with a little more rosti but that is just being picky. It was just a really well rounded tasty dish. My friend really enjoyed her coffee and her chicken burger. There is a little more decor happening now so it doesn't feel so sterile. So glad that it has improved. Old review: The coffee is just really below par and the breakfast was just a soggy mess of something I could have done at home. The atmosphere is sterile and no personality. It's a real shame as the owner is lovely, just not cutting it compared to all the other places

Fabulous corner cafe serving delicious Hummingbird coffee. The space feels open and light. There are plants everywhere and the aesthetic is clean and crisp. The staff are friendly and kind. There are games and books to entertain you and your friends, if you are looking to spend time together. There are lots of table and chairs as well as a couch. Really fabulous location.

Beautiful food really enjoyed the gluten free chicken burger with fries, the staff were prompt and the food was delicious, will definitely be back again

Amazing food. Beautifully presented and generous servings. So much attention to detail. The menu has a variety of options and the chef is willing to cater to specific requests. Everything is made from scratch and fresh. This isn’t just another breakfast cafe but an experience. Our group ordered different options off the menu and all meals exceeded our expectations. Would definitely return.

I had the most delicious smoked chicken and halloumi ficelle for lunch today. I look forward to returning soon.

First time visiting today for lunch with a group of friends. Very accommodating and friendly. I ordered the Moment Fried Chicken .... I put the first bit in my mouth and I swear my eyeballs nearly popped out - soooooooo delicious! I’ll be back - this is my new fav. Mmmmm

I literally never post reviews but couldn't help it after having breakfast and coffee here this morning. I have coeliac disease and my friend is vegan and there are lots of options for us on the menu. I had an eggs benny with bacon and it is the best I have ever had (and I have had many!), friend had a vegan big breakfast and her plate was full of beautiful fresh veges with everything cooked and seasoned perfectly. You know when food lifts your mood? Well we are both feeling super happy! Coffee is delicious and staff are lovely and very attentive. An easy, easy 5 stars. Thank you and we will definitely be back!

An absolutely awesome new Cafe in Christchurch! Fantastic friendly and welcoming staff and best of all the food is beautiful and full of flavour. They have a wide range of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options as well which is awesome! Highly recommend!!

When Moment took over Tap n Grind it had some big shoes to fill. Tap n Grind had the best coffee in the area, a nice vibe, good food and friendly staff. The new owners and staff are super friendly, the coffee is just as good and the new menu is delicious. And they still only charge $4 for a large keep cup coffee.

I love this place, definite go to spot for fresh local produce with all the flavour your taste buds long for but also very artistic presentation. Friendly service great for the family or for quick takeaway coffee. Outstanding!

Amazing place for food and drink with options to suit everyone. A stunning varied menu that uses delicious fresh ingredients, definitely recomend the big breakfast. Prices are great for the quality of food and service provided, the staff are friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu

Food excellent, chef does perfectly poached eggs. All staff are cheerful. This was our second visit. Will certainly make another visit.

Good coffee. Good service. The cafe can get a bit noisy when busy as all the surfaces reflect noise.

TLDR: Good: Food has good flavour and quality Iced drinks are overpriced but taste good and feel better for you Staff are friendly and accommodating Not so good: Seating could be more comfortable, has the same loud atmosphere/feel as it's predecessor Tap n Grind. Came here for brunch, food didn't take too long, was pleasant and enjoyable to eat. Presentation is always real on point. I wish they had the money to invest in a new seating arrangement with booths that were more comfortable, as well as reducing some of the loud noises. It needs more character as it still feels a bit like tap n grind that was here before it. Would visit again, good experience. Perhaps don't go when its super busy

Nice cafe, good coffee, initially hit with the scent of dried lavender and other plants which was not all together my favorite experience. But after a while I didn't notice it.

Mmm had an iced Mocha on the weekend and it was delicious!! Great vibe on the corner of Manchester and St Asaph Street so you can watch people passing by. Lots of seating, including a couple of comfy couches. Cabinet food and menu food both available.

One of the best Cafes In Town that does vegetarian and vegan food. They Change there Menue regularly. But not there Amazing Standard of Yummy Food.

Popped in for a mocha and a snack. Choc chip biscuit was small and pretty ordinary. Mocha scores a 4 out of 10. Slightly unusual flavour to my mocha that I was unable to figure out. Won't be rushing back.

Amazing! The Japanese Pancakes were literally the best thing I have had in recent memory and it was perfectly complimented with a coconut milk hot chocolate. Kudos Moment! Keep it up!
