G.Only went for a coffee and a chai. It was too early for us to eat anything but the cabinet had only a few muffins left although there were still plenty of slices on offer.
Our drinks were really good and the service from the two on deck was smiley, friendly and efficient.
M.Enjoyed the food but boy do these teapots need a good clean and polish. I checked and they were clean inside but someone is slipping up on their job!
D.Tried out south city muffin break today and ordered my usual flat white and cheese scone.
To my delight,they were both exceptional.
The coffee tasted just right and the scone was a great size,crunchy and cheesy just the way I like it.
I can honestly say that it was the best out of all muffin breaks I've visited in the south island.
So I am happy to say this will be my new local now we live in town.
V.Absolutely impressive! The best coffee experience I've had in 2018! The staff were very friendly and my coffee was ready by the time I finished paying for it. The coffee was nice and hot, just what I like. Will definitely come back again.
A.I've been coming here probably for six years, maybe even before the Quake.
A lot of younger staff have come and gone for whatever reason, they seem to have quite a tight group of people at Sth city very relaxed atmosphere, never seen many dramas theres the occasional dork hanging around though.
Service is fast as even when they're off the hook busy.
Wide range of food options as well as coffee, I'm a regular so I'm a bit biased but never had any issues
L.Absolutely lovely! Have had coffee here a few times with my mother, always great. The staff are sweet and also refilled my water bottle on request (with tap water of course) !
T.Went there on a Saturday, friendly staff. Muffins are good, good amount of blueberrys in the muffin. Drinks are not that great, hence the 3 stars
L.Great welcome to Christchurch. Friendly server made my visits great. Its too bad its right in with so much competition. Its and excellent little place. Not sure if its affiliated with muffin break in canada or the names are just coincidence.
