The environment where we sat was undercover but was light and airy, with a feeling of spaciousness . The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were professional and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate my father's request for a particular drink. I had a lovely experience dining there and will definitely go there again.

Great food, nice staff. I got the pasta, my partner the kiwi burger and a delicious orange cake for dessert. All so yummy. I was a bit disappointed that they don't serve Coke or Pepsi but I had a great caramel latte instead.

Providing a 5 star as the service was quick and friendly. The layout was lovely and very peaceful. As you will see in the images you can sit there for a while having a lovely meal with your most amazing coffee and reading the news. I just had coffee and it was so amazing that I will travel here again just to have the coffee. Great job and keep up the amazing coffee coming.

Had sausage rolls and a couple of the hamburgers. Cooked by Remi and Rahp. The food is absolutely exquisite. Have nt tasted a hamburger like it in years. WILL STOP HERE AGAIN! Well done.

Stopped for breakfast. Has a country tearoom feel to it. Lovely staff, great service. Food was great, a little sweet for my liking. I had the bacon sarnie, he had a mushroom omelette. Blackcurrent tea was sweet.

The chief is amazing and top standard food with lovely sections to sit and enjoy. Friendly cheerful staff. Recommended for a nice breakfast

A pit stop for me every time heading to the North. The latte bowl is my favorite and the foods are lovely. Also the wash rooms are clean and we'll maintained. Complementary newspaper and magazine. Wot a great cafe.

We both enjoyed a top rate cappuccino - mine made from almond milk, and they were both as cappuccinos SHOULD be !!! To add to the enjoyment, we shared a macadamia slice 😀. Purchased cards from the gift shop, from another very pleasant lady. Glad we broke our journey, and will stop again on our return 👍🤗

A group of 9 went from Christchurch to Pukeko Junction for a late breakfast. We all had good coffees and teas, followed by absolutely lovely meals. Afterwards we went into the adjacent gift shop and purchased wine and gifts. A nice place, especially as a stopover to or from Blenheim and Picton.

A nice place to stop for brunch or lunch. Pleasant service and atmosphere. Car parking on-site, with the road to Leithfield Beach just across the junction. Child high chairs available. It's right next to a nice store with wine, art and crafts so you can have a wander after you've eaten.

Really good place - under new ownership now! Delicious food and great coffee, the selection is significantly better after being bought by Simo’s. There is a wide range of cabinet food now which is presented extremely well and tastes great. The cafe is clean, warm and has a cosy feel. There are also shops connected to the cafe which are worth a look in.

A smile and some patience goes a long way with seniors trying display vaccine pass, love a drive out to visit for morning coffee, but will probably not be doing it again after a hostile experience

The food was awesome and customer service was fantastic. I thoroughly recommend going out for lunch. I was impressed by the list of allergy foods.

Pukeko Junction is always a great stopping off on a trip north or as a meeting place. It's great to browse the delights of the wine shop and gallery.

Seafood chowder was delicious. Bit cold inside the building fire only slightly warm. It was a very cold day.

Best CAFE that I've been too. Every dish I tried was AMAZING 😀 and I absolutely loved every dish . The fact that I could have my little dog on the premises was an added bonus. I'm actually going back to take my mama there for her birthday this week cause it was SOOOOOOO GOOD.

Great food, friendly and helpful staff. We had fish n chips and french toast to share, both delicious. The french toast had jam on it with syrup and cream as sides. If you're not super sweet, ask for the jam as a side to spread yourself. We'd go back :)

Best bit about this Cafe is that things feel home-made and taste great. Also the wine selection in the gift shop next door is pretty good if you don't get to any cellar doors.

Great food but very rundown decore

We joined friends at Pukeko Junction cafe for brunch this morning. The food, I had french toast, was delicious and the staff were accommodating with my request to change the fried banana to a fresh one. My flat white was one of the best I've enjoyed. It was blowing a hurricane outside so it was a unique experience being in the canvas covered annex. The roof flapped but not so loudly that we couldn't easily converse. We could have sat inside but it was fun being in the annex

The coffee is really good. The pancakes were delicious, light, (not heavy at all which I like), the mascarpone was so delicious too. The atmosphere is beautiful inside and out. Really lovely staff and good service. Recommended coming here. Great to stop off on your way up north.

A great place to stop for something to eat and drink on the way to or from Christchurch. The food is beautiful and fresh and the service very friendly and prompt. Clean toilets too.

Great wee Cafe with a unique shop attached. Often stop off here when passing through. Lots of parking. Great cabinet food. A few times I’ve thought the cafe staff could put a bit more effort into being more friendly and welcoming.

The food & service was very good, although my only criticism was that it was slow to arrive - considering that there were only 2 other tables with customers seated when we entered.

Came here for breakfast today and got the raspberry and white choc muffin and large latte. It was pretty busy but the service was super friendly and although it took a wee while for food to materialise, it wasn’t unreasonable given the rush of people. I’ve seen a few comments saying the food is expensive, and it is more pricey than you might expect but this is a reflection of the quality and care put into it. In my opinion, it’s worth it.

As we were just on a wee drive we stumbled upon this cafe and thought we would give it a try, and man alive are we happy we did, the service was great, the food was plentiful and delicious. Definitely will be back

two of us ordered the lamb tagine which was delicious but one was swimming in sauce and the other had hardly any. Tasted good though. One of our meals was forgotten so one of us had to wait an extra 15 minutes. Accidents happen in food service which is understandable but can't give 5 stars for aforementioned reason. Staff were very friendly though.

Nice casual stop off back to the buzz of the city. Nice wee shop to look thru with so much you forget why you went in. Lovely lady Charmaine was so friendly, we were quite taken with her and certainly knew her stuff. Thank you. Meal was a little expensive and we had to share it with the birds flying about.

Not many gluten free options and they warn of cross contamination but I didn't have a reaction as a coeliac. Food was tasty, the rest of the food looked good. Friendly and accommodating service and staff.

We stopped at PJC twice during our visit to the South Island - It was so good the 1st time we wanted to try it again! Excellent bacon sandwich and pancakes (European style.. fantastic). Coffee perfect. Super friendly.

Always great service with an amazing selection country styled food is all made in house, from the bread to the tarts, pies cakes, sauces and fresh salads. Always looks so fresh and clean, same for the rest rooms, Good parking, great place to stop when heading north or coming home.

Just a quick stop, coffees and cakes. Very good coffee (Americanos), could have been just a fraction hotter but good strength and flavour. Raspberry muffin with berry sauce was very nice, good size and looked great; friand was also good, lemon sauce was very nice, very lemony although just a very slight touch too much bitterness. All the food on display looked yummy, will definitely be back and will try other things.

Very pleasant country cafe on the main road north of Christchurch. Good selection of both cabinet and blackboard food. Good coffee. Quick efficient service as well. Selection of indoor and outdoor seating with good shade outdoors.

Cafe was busy but staff handled situation well. Food was delivered fast and everything tasted great. Every time we have come staff have always been friendly and food/drink has been fantastic. Highly recommend!!!!!

Disappointed. This place was a must stop with a wow factor. Something has changed. Stood at the counter for nearly 4 mins before being acknowledged, by the person standing right in front of us. Not even eye contact! Food ok, but expensive for what we got. One piece of bacon on eggs Bene. Wont be returning in a hurry.

Beautiful setting and very clean with welcoming staff but dissappointed to have egg benedict made with canned salmon . In all my years of having this dish it always comes with fresh salmon . Even salmon slivers from a packet would gave been acceptable . Was nicely presented . Pancakes were way to thin and not value for money with amount served .

Haven't been before, great coffee, but my choice of food chicken calzone was not fresh, the crust was very tough and the chicken was dry, the salad was wilted, unfortunate as it's a great place

Food was delicious. Seafood chowder was well seasoned and full of seafood flavor. Toasted ciabatta was to die for. Will definitely stop here again if in the area.
