Friendly helpful staff. Our dirty table was wiped down quickly once pointed out to the staff. The food arrived quickly, however, my order was wrong, so, by the time the replacement was delivered everyone else had finished their meals. A little on the expensive side for a small sized meal but top quality.

First time here. Had heard great things about this place. I went in and waited to be seated, this surprised me at a Cafe. Sat down and the waiting staff gave me a menu and said that she would be back to get my order. I waited a short while but I hadn't been able to view their cabinet food, I went and had a look. On the day there was not much that I felt like eating and pretty expensive. I ordered a simple poached eggs on toast and Chai latte. The food and drink didn't take long. The eggs were cooked exactly how I ordered them. The toast was cooked perfectly. The Chai was ordered extra hot, it was not. Good place to stop and get a sit down lunch. Good choice of seating, inside and outside. You can reserve seats and book for catering. Thanks team.

Went to Terra Viva Cafe today for a late lunch. Pretty nice place, beautiful interior. Got eggs benedict and a mocha. Partner got French toast. Really enjoyed it, was absolutely amazing, bacon was perfect. Mocha was nice. Partner said the French toast was good too. Would definitely return. Only complaint is that there was no bike stand.

The parking lot in Christchurch, New Zealand It's a place where they sell a wide variety of delicious food and tea. Sometimes small birds come inside the cafe to eat a piece of bread that has fallen on the floor. In the backyard, there are beautiful flowers and green plants. Just flew down from Auckland, picked up our rental car and this place was just down the road. I’m glad I was in a rush for breakfast making me choose the first cafe I saw. The food was great, didn’t try the coffee but didn’t see people complain about it. The atmosphere is suitable for everyone, young and old. The menu is suitable for everyone, young and old.

Lovely service, average food. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the food was underwhelming for its price. The potatoes were most likely cooked the day before because the texture was rubbery instead of fluffy, the hash brown was over-herbed, the halloumi was over-salted (it was prepared to be like bacon strips but even bacon isn't that salty), but the toasted bread and the eggs were nice as was the coffee. I highly recommend this place for coffee, the cosy atmosphere, the great customer service and to wander around the garden centre afterwards, but hold back on the food.

I have now been here several times and it's been great both times. Both the food and drinks are delicious and I would definitely recommend. It isn't crowded like some cafes which is always a good thing. The attached garden store is good to look around after you've finished eating. The only downsides would be there is sometimes a wait to be seated if you are in a large group without a booking and there isn't a bike stand.

This cafe has top quality service. The girl who served us was friendly and memorised all of our orders. The food was delicious and came out very promptly. The cafe is beautifully decorated and has a very warm atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting this cafe.

A real favorite. The food here is always really interesting and changes regularly, with the seasons I assume. Also it manages to be a grown up cafe but child friendly. Kids menu is actually good and good portion sizes, with activity sheets! The atmosphere here is great and the setting is interesting.

This cafe has been around for years and it's always been pretty good. Went for a quick bite to eat and a coffee inbetween plant shopping. The staff were friendly and the food was good. Coffee was well made. I especially liked that the sweet scone wasn't too sweet. The cafe itself is a bit bland and really begging for some character.. it's surrounded by the most amazing garden centre I really think they could use it a bit better. They have the odd plant here and there but the space is there to make it something special.

This is a garden centre with large cafeteria section adjoined. I only popped in for a light lunch and it was very nice in this capacity. The coffee was really good and the food extremely fresh and more in the delicatessen category. It has both a casual section suitable for business clients and a more prosaic open area for families of all sizes. Close to Airport.

The front of house usually seems in a hurry or stressed when a group of people appears, regardless of the time of day. I've had lunch at the Terra Viva several times with friends, and find the menu varied and interesting. One friend likes nothing better than the BLAT sandwich, but I have tried many different dishes and have found them to be well prepared and tasty. The cafe adjoins a Garden Centre, and it's nice to be able to browse there either before or after lunch.

This cafe is excellent so please book. It is very busy and table space is fully occupied. The menu is very wide with selections for breakfast, lunch, brunch and afternoon. While the priced are slightly higher, the quality is high too. Very good table service and very welcoming.

Brought my car to get wof'd round the corner and did a quick Google for cafes. This place rightly lives up to the good reviews. It's a great place for coffee in a very comfortable and well maintained setting. They serve supreme coffee and do it justice. Super cute, amazing food, coffee is ok. It is set into a gardencenter, so the whole place has a lovely vibe to it. The staff were really friendly, asking us about our day etc. But by far the best bit was the food! It was amazing. Actually 'amazing' doesn't really do it justice... The only let down was the coffee, which was expensive and poorly made. This is still definitely somewhere everyone needs to visit.

Tera Viva café is a rare find in NZ where their food tastes great as their coffee. Shared premises with a garden and home decorations store, the café has some good vibes. The menu can be quite pricey but I think it matches their value. I recommend the pork belly.

If you have a spare kidney you're not using. You can sell it and actually afford to buy plants from the nursery here. It's a wonderful place though. Didnt try the cafe but a hanging basket cost me 27 dollars.
