The menu options are varied but slices of cake are a big food feature with plenty of different options.

J.Classic cafe that is a favorite for bikers and people from Christchurch. Don't go if you are on a diet as the cakes are devilishly good!!!! It's like they got the recipe of temptation, put it on a dish and displayed it in the cake cabinet. Great selection of drinks and lovely garden to relax in, even comes with a friendly pooch, what more could you ask for.
R.Lunch it was busy for a week day. I had the chefs special salad. Chicken. My wife had quiche. Both were excellent. Great location. Excellent service. Great food. Good prices. What more would you want? Not open Monday or Tuesday.
D.The food was up to standard reasonable prices to. This was not my first or even second visit to Raspberry café, which is why the service this time did not score them 3 stars I am shore it was an aberration, but the children in our parties meals were served 40 minutes after the adults and 10 minutes after there father asked where the meals were. None the less I will be returning

I.Always had a wonderful meal here. The service is great. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Make sure you book in as I have never been here when it not busy but the service is quick but not in a hurried manner. If you have not been there make a point of getting out there. You will not be disappointed.
A.Amazing cafe with a lovely outside area to sit, not many savoury gluten free options in the cabinet but enough on the main menu. The chicken salad I got was amazing the chicken was cooked to perfection. Ti Tapu is a beautiful setting to come for a drive to, a lot of interesting history and lunch here is the perfect stop on your journey would definitely recommend.
R.This place is quaint and beautiful. The food is pretty good. Not sure the quality is worth the price of it, in saying this the resturant probably has very expensive overheads with the size of the property and the gardens upkeep etc, So it makes sense that it is a little pricey for what you get. The service is really, really great and the desserts are really spectacular and taste Devine! Definitely recommended for people who are from out of town to get a really nice Christchurch experience. Have been here a couple of times and really enjoy the ambience. Great work guys!! Thanks for a lovely birthday lunch.

M.Why have I never been here before!! It was quite a windy day but sitting outside we were protected by all the lovely trees. The food was deelish and generous portions, didn't have coffee but did have a real fruit ice cream! omg YUM. Worth a drive out to Tai Tapu for sure.

T.I went to Raspberry Cafe with a group of others. We arrived by coach. It was a pleasant surprise to see the tables set out on the lawns with large umbrellas over them. The meal was enjoyed by all. There was an excellent mix of deserts. Well worth a visit.

S.The place was very busy. One hour wait for meals. We did not book so had to struggle to find a spot to sit. Don't go on a Sat midday if you have not booked. I had the banana caramel cake. It was a bit dry and struggle to find the caramel. Looks like a nice place with tasty options. Inside there were big groups quite noisy and lots of reverberation.

V.The food was beautiful but the service not so fantastic. A lovely spot with a gorgeous setting, but due to a busy lunch we were served with that in mind by the staff. A paying guest wants to be treated well and reminded that they get their monies worth by being appreciated for coming to your establishment. And its the little extras that you go home with.

A.I recently discovered this hidden little gem and so happy I did!
Food and coffee was delicious- best mocha I've ever had!
I took home a piece of the coffee layer cake which was beautiful- so light and yummy.
I also got a piece of the chocolate gateau which the flavors were great but sponge was a bit dry unfortunately. Nevertheless I'll be coming back again. My eyes are on their carrot cake next time!

A.Absolutely love this location - Excellent food ❤️ very much worth the wait - don't go there super hungry as often can wait over 1 1/2 hours for your lunch to be served especially if you are part of a large group. There is also a Berry & Ice-cream shop & these treats are super delicious. Luv the Raspberry Cafe the best ever Carrot cake 😍

S.Take a gentle drive along the Old Tai Tapu road to this cafe, or even a bike ride. Beautiful gardens, and lovely surroundings. The food and drinks are excellent. Great for an afternoon tea, lunch, or a snack. If you are lucky, in summer they have berries for sale - strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries - some fresh and some frozen

H.Waited 1hr and 45min for our food. Staff seemed to be run off their feet. Sadly because of an allergy to chicken and most of the food was chicken I ended up quite sick after wards. Please make sure to tell them of any allergies no matter how servers, even if it is a slight one.

T.Nice venue for a Sunday lunch, nice food, possibly overpriced, however it was very loud inside, fortunately we were moved outside when the waiter couldn't hear our orders! When outside another waiter decided to have a loud conversation across the room with other dinners, not so pleasant.

T.Scorching hot day, but sitting out in the shade was lovely. The food was beautiful, everyone at the table raved about their meal and cakes.
The only thing that let it down a little was the service. A couple of odd comments made by our servers, a bit snappy and slow. I know it was busy, but I'm sure it is often busy so the team should be ready for that.
B.Beautiful place to have a meal socialise with friends under the trees on a warm summer's day. Buy some fresh fruit and have a fresh berry ice cream. Great time.

M.A special word of Thanks to the Fantastic and understanding staff at Raspberry Cafe. We sadly have to say goodbye soon to our family dog which is very ill. We all decided to take our beloved Pooch in the car for his last Sunday drive, and ended up at the Raspberry Cafe 15 minutes before closing. The staff insisted we sit down in the shade, order a stunning afternoon tea - and quietly enjoy one our last outings with our beloved dog. Such a wonderful moment - so thank you Raspberry Cafe for the memory - we will be back!!

B.Really nice Kiwi Cafe a bit off the beaten path in Tai Taps. Raspberry Cafe offers an interesting menu of savoury food, all of which is fresh and excellently prepared. Plenty of nice things on the menu, but try the lamb salad, the chicken-brie-cranberry filo or the haloumi cakes for a real treat.
I didn't get a chance to try their cakes or pies, but they are fresh made daily and looked spectacular. Plenty of comfortable seating both indoor and out. Get there well before closing as they only make a limited number of fresh items everyday and they do run out of things as the day wanes.

S.Food was yum as always but the service was slow. I accept they were busy on a sunny day but getting the attention of a waitress wasn't easy and a long wait between courses. End up getting cake to takeaway rather than enjoy the environment.

F.It's a 20 to 30 minute drive but the food is very tasty and well presented. We had sweet corn fritters, with bacon and a side salad. The mayonaise and relish sides were excellent additions. The salad had a very appropriate mint flavour. For dessert we had the Lime, Raspberry and Coconut tart, with yoghurt instead of cream and it was scrumptious. I've been there twice now and both times were superb. The meals were appropriately priced. However its starting to get too cold for outside dining and indoor seating is limited, as it appears to be a busy place, therefore pre-booking is recommended.

c.Very busy when we went (Sunday lunch) and was helpfully advised the wait for food from the kitchen would be approx. 45 mins (there were three functions/on at the time). As we were pressed for time we decided to forgo mains and skipped straight to cakes from the cabinet. These arrived promptly with our coffees and were well worth the trip! We had a lovely moist carrot cake and a chocolate surprise cake. The chocolate cake itself was divine but even more delicious with the cheesecakey strawberry centre. I'll definitely be back to try out their menu when we have a bit more time, or perhaps mid-week if I can sneak away!

J.I have provided a 3 star for the following reasons.
The only reason for 3 stars and not less is because the place looks beautiful and lots of seating but the customer service is was absolutely shocking and disappointing. When our coffee was being served we asked about the cake and she said that she wont do anything about it as she just delivers the coffee... really so she does not care about customer service?? Then they walked around multiple times with the cake as they wrote the wrong number on the order so we had to ask again!
If you come here expect worse service thsn you would get from Dennys.

The fire was going and the sun was shinning through the windows, it was cosy, warm and welcoming.

D.Always enjoyed the meals and was a favourite cafe but recently went with friends on a Friday for our xmas treat and was so disappointed with our lunch.It was a plate of limp dry lettuce with 1 small tomatoes with the chicken.3 of us had this dish and all not up to the standard of meal had ther before ,so disapointed.ln the past had taken photo of such a colorful dish with several interesting ingredients eg strawberries or asparagus.
B.We've been coming here for berry season since I was a child, and the frozen yogurt raspberry sundaes are not to be missed. Delightful staff, excellent service and delicious berries

D.Lovely rustic setting, good food but service is non existent, we were visiting from Canada and heard good things but we very disappointed after sitting at our table for 30 minutes we had to call a waiter, the wine arrived midway through our lunch, we never saw a waitress again and had to go inside to order desert, 40 minutes later no sign of desert or waitress so after another visit inside a cool response, won't be long - how long does it take to cut a piece of carrot cake and put it on a plate, still no waitress or any chance of getting a coffee, glad we didn't have a plane to catch but would not rush back.
C.We came here for lunch after my sister’s graduation. We had a great time, the food was lovely and the cake we bought to take home was amazing!
