We only visited for lunch but would highly recommend!
The staff were all so lovely and friendly.
Our waffles and coffee came out really quickly.
The waffles were yummy and the coffee made to perfection.
Would definitely eat here again

Dunstan House in Clyde is a lovely establishment which provides accommodation, a cafe and some limited meeting space. Historically and tastefully decorated it very pleasant setting for gatherings. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend a visit here if you are in Clyde.

This stunning heritage hotel is possibly the best place I have stayed anywhere in the world. With high timber ceilings, a grand wooden staircase, evocative rooms that echo with the history of the gold rush era and all that has come since, Dunstan House brings authentic 19th century style and grace into the 21st century. Stretch out on a sofa on the upstairs balcony and imagine you are a gold rush high roller; and stroll the silent main street of Clyde after dark and listen to the sound of gold rush ghosts. A delicious breakfast is included with the room rate and the coffee is excellent. So join the gold rush and discover Clyde on the Dunstan.

Outstanding and authentic, a historic building and experience but with modern comforts. Definitely recommend booking the Ellen Jennings Suite. The food in the cafe below is excellent. Remember it's an old building so some tolerance around being quiet and consideration for other guests is needed. A cup of tea on the balcony at sunset is a stunning and relaxing experience. The super food salad is probably the best I've ever had. Very friendly welcome and wish we'd spent longer. We will be going back, thanks for a magical experience.

From the Beautiful old girl greeting (Zoe a chocolate brown Labrador wagging us welcome from the owners gate) to sleeping in the gorgeous Fleur Sullivan suite - I can’t rate this historic place highly enough. Fab hosts as well.

Fantastic service, beautiful cabinet food, lovely afternoon tea in the lounge for our group. Dunstan house caters for vegans etc. Highly recommended. Visited again on 24th February, wonderful friendly staff, beautiful afternoon tea, I loved the dairy free, gluten free raspberry coconut slice.

Room. small but comfortable. Shared bathroom was our room's. It was clean, fresh and okay. Room lacked space for cases, but had hanging hooks

Very old hotel but a great place to start the rail trail in Otago puts you in a good mood. Great restaurant across the road

Nice place however limited food and beverage options. They did keep it tidy despite lack of variety.

We try to visit this cafe in the beautifully restored stone building each time we are in Clyde.
The experience is truly outstanding from the interior historic character to the welcoming staff but our visit during the past weekend was notable for the quality of the food. Very seldom do I stop eating and think that this meal is absolute perfection in presentation, taste, freshness and combination and I did not want it to end. My partner's meal was equally impressive.
Well done to Meredith who appeared to be working tirelessly in the kitchen.
We were once treated to a tour of the restored accommodation side of the business and we would highly recommend it as a destination with outstanding character for a short stay. It would be like stepping back in time 130 years.
