Reviews of Post Office Cafe And Bar

We enjoyed a lovely meal here on Christmas Eve. Staff are wonderful, happy to share their local knowledge with visitors. Interesting menu - the bento box was spectacular. Historic building decorated with pictures and objects of the period. A great evening out.

Beautiful ribs, husband enjoyed his seafood chowder. Friendly staff and a beautiful setting within the Old Post Office. Highly recommend as a place to eat when visiting Clyde.
J.
Lovely garden seating with umbrellas for shade if needed. It's not often you can say the full breakfast has every element cooked so well, very impressed :)
Full breakfast, and eggs bene with salmon pictured.
D.
Lovely garden bar area. Meals are very generous in size and good quality. The chowder was full of good bits. Highly recommend.

It was a busy lunchtime Easter Monday but the staff were attentive and on the ball. The food was great and 'never too early for a wine'. We had a seat under the shady trees in the back garden..... Primo spot

Our meals were delicious.
The service was great but they need to be a bit more vigilant about the tracing app and vaccine passes. We would certainly go back 🙂🙂

Absolutely fantastic venue with incredible meals to enjoy either outside in the beautiful garden setting or inside for those colder days. Great food - excellent value for money. Was so great - went there two nights in a row. Definite do again

Heritage is a must to see in any town. Add pleasant staff and good food then the world's your oyster on what you choose to drink. Great outdoor area on a sunny day

Lovely food and good service from the staff.

People in the south island are way friendlier than in Auckland god.
The cafe is a great place to have a cold beer after rolling off a hot day on the dunstan cycle trial. It has ambience coming out the wahzoo with a generous back garden for soaking up the sun. But also brollys if it gets too hot
Otherwise standard pub food with a Japanese twist. We just missed the lunch service unfortunately but the snack menu feeds nicely. Big portions small prices
