A hidden gem in Clyde, definitely one of the must-go cafes in New Zealand. The building used to be a bank, you wouldn’t realise it was an amazing local cafe behind the closed door. The owner kept a part of the history as decorations, like the phone, door and BNZ sign, really appreciated. We had a pork belly bun and cottage pie as bunch. The pork belly was incredibly delicious, with the blue cheese and chutney a prefect match. The pie was hot and rich in favour, it was absolutely a splendid choice in a cold morning. There was a small grocery corner selling local produces, the homemade sauce and chutney were really good. Highly recommend!

I have long been a fan of the The Old Clyde Bank for breakfast / lunch and a great coffee with outstanding service. Had dinner there recently to enjoy this new offering and was blown away. Fine dining in an intimate setting comparable to anything in Central Otago or the Lakes District!

Absolutely brilliant food and wine, can not believe we have walked past this place so many times, the new owners are awesome and the food was so good I had to go find them to tell them so. 5 stars from our table

We went in for dinner and by far the best lamb I have ever eaten. Would recommend. Very great staff, very friendly and well-priced.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Excellent kai and service, and a lovely setting along the main strip of Clyde. Super friendly owners with great customer service. Will be back!

Stopped in at around lunch time looking for breakfast and the menu had changed over already but they made me a bacon and egg roll anyway and it was delicious 🙂

Very different under new owners- sadly I prefer the old style with lovely cabinet food. It seems to be trying to be a bit more upmarket now which doesn’t work for me.

Absolutely delicious lunch. The beef cheek cottage pie with truffle mash was devine! Awesome service and wow, the goodies for sale in the larder area were very tempting. Pantry items for sale include their own range of sauces and conserves under the label 'In A Pickle'. 🌞

Had a lovely breakfast at The Bank this morning. Food was delicious, excellent coffee, friendly welcome and great service. Would definitely call again.

Hearty food but possibly a little old school in style. Maybe that suits the usual clientele. I would have preferred more vegetarian options but to be honest the overall menu is not that big which is fine too. Nice staff and great location.

If there were an option to give 10 stars, I would. The staff are amazing, coffee during the day is fantastic and dinner at night was one of the best meals we have ever had. I highly recommend the old bank to anyone in Clyde. It won’t disappoint you
