C.Nice place. Food was good. Ordered the stump breakfast. Sausage was a hot dog. The salmon benny was delicious. Some flies around but its the height of summer. Service was fast. Delicious mocha.
T.We went and had dinner tonight n the meals were absolutely delicious I would highly recommend going here if you are staying in Dannyvike or just driving through. I had the chicken salad n my partner had the Angus steak n he said it was bloody great to have a steak cooked beautifully 😍 compliments to the chef. Thanks again we will be back
H.Beautiful restaurant lovely food. We stopped there on our way to Hastings. We had brunch amazing. Very good service lady at the counter.
G.The service was good, prompt and polite. The food was delicious and filling. I had the Angus steak (medium rare) and it was perfectly cooked and very tender. This was followed by a triple chocolate cheesecake. I left very full and satisfied.
I.Friendly staff. clean environment, quiet place. we started with giabatta drizzled with basil oil garlic butter and aioli, We also had lambsfry with mashed potato bacon mushrooms and tomato. very tasty, we enjoyed our meal.

D.Hi folks went here for lunch on Saturday 24 July. I have been wanting to go here for a while but never have until today to the point of telling my husband that's where I wanted to be. My hubby and I shared caibatta bread that had garlic and herb butter and drizzled with aoli. 😋 For my main I had Chicken,bacon,tomato,lettuce and avocado on caibatta with a side of mushrooms. I wish I hadn't had the extras as the main was filling on its own I came away feeling rather full and happy. Thanks guys you made my day keep it up.

H.Located on the southern end of High St in Dannevirke. The Black Stump Cafe is a nice place for a meal, a bit more up market than some of the other eating places in Dannevirke. A good place for a family lunch or brunch.

L.We took our young family, (4 children) out to this restaurant and we had such an awesome time. The kids ate all their food, all our meals were amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even when it got really busy, they didn't forget about us once and kept our drinks and food coming all the time. The price was also very reasonable for a big family. Thanks so much for a great evening.
K.Nice little spot in Dannevirke with good service. My fish n chip meal was a bit average though where fish was over cooked and greasy. Would give another go.
C.Food was slow to come out but it could be because they only had 1 microwave and were seemingly training new staff. Not worth the rating it had (4.1) as food was average as well. If you're ordering a salad, be sure to ask for sauce on the side as it can be drenched in sauce.
j.Good service. Coffee good flavour and hot. Iced coffee very nice. Apple and berry slice very tasty. Enjoyable stop off en route to Palmerston North

We pre ordered our food and had a choice of two menus. Sadly the meat was hot but vegetables all cold. Probably better to have salads instead but were not gicen that choice. Not good value for money.

Took 40 mins to get kitchen food and we only ordered wedges.
Cabinet food good but still takes a while.
Would recommend only if you have the time.
J.Just stopped here for an iced coffee after being really disappointed with long black cafe in woodville with their watery iced coffee! The iced coffee here is DELICIOUS ! Service with a smile also! Cant wait to come back and try their food! Thanks a bunch!

K.i do not know what happened. I bought a chocolate brownie which was really good, then when i was 2/3 of the way done i responded to a text message. When i looked up 30 seconds later I swear my brownie was gone and there were only crumbs. Am I going crazy? idk
