Great location and delicious options. They are small but lots of outdoor tables around the garden and choices of food and drink too. It's seems to be run by a family who are extremely friendly and efficient. The lady at the counter was awesome. Great vibe there. Recommended!

Plenty of seating outside - a definite plus for me. Cheerful staff, big servings - the 'other' half of our meals did fine for the evening.

Enjoyed late afternoon tea in the lovely garden surroundings under the shade of a tree. Both the cheese puff and coffee slice were delicious. Shared with hubby so I could have both. They're huge! Very generous with the tea and hot water. Coffee was excellent and hot.

Obviously the hub of the Middlemarch community with local farmers enjoying a catch up and a cuppa. Food and service was great. Must tries are the cheese puffs and sausage rolls. Cheerful staff made us feel welcome. I definitely stop there again.

Definitely the best coffee in the Maniototo. And the big breakfast was awesome and the best value for me of any cafe I have been to and its a long list. I'm looking forward to revisiting next year.

Loved it! Old school in everyway! Friendly, unique. Loved the bathroom and the cats. Friendly and full of locals. Hard to find something like this nowadays. Don't ever change! The country has enough jaffa-crowd cafes.

Always good. Great big bowl of pumpkin soup with homemade bread. So good on a cold day. Staff are always welcoming and make you feel like you are one of the family.

Wonderful home-baked pies, sandwiches, cakes and biscuits. Coffee is great too, as is the friendly country-town service. Make sure you leave the time for a visit.

Cosy cafe but heaps of room to sit outside on a fine day. Good range of cabinet food and good menu selection. Smoothies were yummy and pastries ordered from the cabinet were served hot & the pastry was crispy & flakey (ie not microwaved sogginess). Service was prompt considering there were large groups that had just finished the Otago Rail Trail - like we had! Definitely recommend this cafe!
