A.If you like 'homely this is the place! Sleeping cat and welcoming pooch with lovely service, chat, coffee and most excellent baking! Peanut brownies and tan slice delicious!
v.Food was well priced and good.
The bar lady was rude and not very welcoming. Ok so you are on your own cooking and tending bar but its Sat, what did you think it would be like. She got annoyed because I asked for a made lemon lime and bitters not a bottled. Over all it was great food and very cool country pub feel.

R.Now known as Purtons Cafe and Bar. I had driven past this place which is tucked neatly beside state highway 1 hundreds of times over the years but never been there. Finally on a motorbike run last week this was the destination. Had a cold drink and some hot chips which we very tasty. 10/10! The staff were friendly and it was warm and well laid out. I will definitely be visiting here again in the future.

N.Very sweet staff made sure we were well taken care of and comfy. They even took the time to check out our sketchbooks. Wasn't here for the love music, but would love to come back for it.
s.If you're near Oamaru and hungry then stop in here. Friendly staff. Great food. Not just large servings but well cooked and tasty. Gluten free burgers available too. And great value. Will definitely eat here again

P.Great value for a budget hotel, love beds, showers we had a room without facilities. Everything was spotless and owner was a great singer. ( karaoke ).
