R.Omg .
When you r hungry ,you should treat yourself n even family (if u want to share) food from the muddy creek Cafe, I just had a beautiful mince pie ,it was absolutely 💯 % delicious, I had to share mine with my wee dog who also loved it n hubby had a sausage roll ,the best he has tasted he said not loaded with onion,so it is well worth coming off the rail trail to enjoy there food you won't regret it.
P.Unpretentious appearance and we were greeted by a customer going out with a big cardboard box full of brown paper bagged lunches. She said " this place is GREAT" as she left. I got a fisherman's basket which was the crispness and hottest meal I have had anywhere!! My wife ,with dietary restrictions, had all of her criteria met and brother-in-law had a beautifully cooked/presented all day breakfast( small size) which was very generous. We sat outside in warm sunny conditions and watched as most of the truck drivers came in and bought lunch. All up a great unexpected treat!!
S.Fantastic staff. Very welcoming great food. We specifically drove from Wanaka to go there for lunch. Deep south icecream 🍦wow. Great portion. Must stop for lunch. I forgot great coffee. 👍

M.While in Omakau on holiday in mid July we had very nice take aways for dinner. Went back the next day and had flat whites, the big breakfast and hot cakes. It was all really nice, hot, well cooked. A nice cafe with friendly staff and a good pile of magazines. Highly recommended.

N.What an amazing Cafe and wonderful owners/staff. We ate dinner AND breakfast here. Both were delicious and affordable with large portions. The coffee was tasty and strong and the hotcakes for breakfast were particularly delectable! Can't reccomends enough!

N.I stopped at this place yesterday for a quick bite off of the highway and wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised! The food is cheap and delicious.
I had my first cheese rolls here, and they were spectacular! If you decide to stop here (which you should), do yourself a favor and get one - they're so cheap you have no reason not to.
I am vegetarian, and Muddy Creek's veggie burger may have been the best one I've ever eaten. It was full of interesting ingredients that worked together beautifully. It was sloppy, huge, and somewhat difficult to eat, but it was magnificent!
The staff was also extremely pleasant. Everyone was very friendly and enthusiastic.
If you're passing through and looking for a place to stop for a meal or a quick bite I highly recommend Muddy Creek! It was so good I felt I had to share my opinion and help support the business.

N.Incredible coffee, staff, and variety. They have a whole take-away menu in addition to a large and diverse normal menu. Their coffee is made with incredible care and detail and is easily some of the best coffee I’ve ever had in New Zealand. They even have ice cream and pastries!

L.Felt a little awkward when I had to ask for service when serving lady was talking to another group of customers & other lady was so busy with another group of customers organising their orders. Finally order taken by lady in kitchen who was busy preparing food. Does it matter if the cafe is up for sale🤔
N.Food ok and some staff great, but not impressed by other staff trying to tell us that we couldn't have the $8 eggs on toast plus two extras listed as $1 each, as that would actually be a (more expensive) breakfast (except for the bits of that we didn't want).
Apart from being wrong about the claimed equivalence, if you don't want to sell something, don't advertise it in big letters on the menu!
Scrambled egg turned out to be a bit odd too - not sure what they'd done, but pretty sure it wasn't just egg, milk, butter, scrambled.
R.Reasonable prices and convenient location on the way to St. Bathans. Friendly service. The flat white was really nice, a bit bitter but I still enjoyed it.
R.Locally owned cafe with friendly staff. Max content burgers are defintly bang for you buck And I would have to say the best burgers in Central.
And if burgers aren't your thing you must try the home made baking 👌
