Latte was reasonable. Milk steam was ok, frothy rather than the desired wet paint (no art possible). The espresso shot was extracted well enough, but it had a strong taste of old grounds, meaning the grinder and/or machine group head need a good clean. Cool vibe, space for seating, but not overly welcoming.

Nice coffee and great service. Love this shop:)

As New Zealand entered into Level 2 today, I took a much needed trip to get a professionally made coffee. I don't know if it was the combination of being fresh out of lockdown or the amazingly strong and flavorful coffee or the funky vibe of this small coffee shop (probably all of the above) but the end result this morning was a complete taste sensation. Thank you very much for the amazing cup of coffee!

For a tiny shop out of the way, the atmosphere as you enter is amazingly homely. Maybe the wall art or 'Pania of the reef" sitting on the counter. Most certainly the coffee! The best I have had in NZ. Now my favorite stop on saturday morning ❤

Splendid spot. The coffee is good, solid coffee made just the way you like it, however you like it. We were warned about how good the rolls are, but let me tell you: they were even better. Top all that off with a bright, inviting atmosphere, bang-on music, and a genuine, charming owner/operator working hard to create an inviting community space and you've got a winner. 10/10 all around.
Accessible seating available with small manipulation, though tight quarters when busy. Outdoor seating available. Sensorily busy space, but it is repetitive and grouped rather than eclectic. Affordable pricing.

Jay made amazing coffee. He remembered the order before you told him after first visit. He is friendly. Love the decor too.

The guy that runs this is so down to earth and makes one heck of a coffee. Definitely a local business you want to support!

I was told I hadn't had coffee like it and they were right! It was excellent. We've gone all in on Jays' Dunedin roasted beans at work and home.
