M.Decent prices for Massive portions. All bread made in house. Focaccia was herby and delicious. Cabinet slices looked impressive too.

P.Great little cafe and bakery just up the hill from The Octogon. Well worth a little walk as it's not far and the place is very cool. Great ambience and really friendly staff. Service was quick too. Food looked awesome but we just stopped for coffee. That was excellent. Might have to come sample some food in the bear future!
L.One of the first places I went to when moving to Dunedin and I come back as often as possible. Like the name suggests, you just feel at home. Wonderful for breakfast and lunch. I adore the fudgey, rich brownie! Only negative, they close at 3pm already... ;)

S.Spectacular atmosphere, great character in the building, and staff are super wonderful. I go there with my friend about 1-3 times a week. We usually have a coffee and split their amazing carrot cake. Their calzones taste wonderful too, and can easily be split between two people.
J.We were hungry and looking for a place to eat. It was raining and we saw The Kitchen Table. We had a hard time parking, but found a place and walked in the rain to this restaurant. Nice warm atmosphere. We had been vacationing in New Zealand for over two weeks, so we have had a lot of carrot cake. We both ordered carrot cake. After eating most of the serving, we said to each other this is the best carrot cake we have ever had. We were wondering how did they get it so moist? You will not be disappointed. Please let me know how they get the cake so moist.

E.Nice bread made in house. Service a bit slow during rush hour, they need an extra pair of hands. Could do with pepper grinders, but overall really enjoyable.
T.Just around the corner from my mahi. The service is awesome and I'm always greeted with a smile and a hearty hello. The food here is great and so is the fresh bread baked on site. I don't rate many 5 stars but this is worth every star.

K.(Translated) A few minutes from Octagon, Cheers has this place where you can have breakfast and something small for lunch. Everything is freshly prepared and served very warmly. The shop is only open until 2 p.m. The portions are very large, and the cakes are homemade and delicious. However, there is no chance for larger groups. Local women especially like to come here.

Wenige Minuten von Octagon entfernt, Cheers gibt es diesen Lokal, wo man Frühstücken und auch etwas Kleines zum Mittagessen haben kann. Es wird alles frisch zubereitet und sehr herzlich serviert. Der Laden hat aber nur bis 14.00 Uhr auf. Die Portionen sind sehr groß, und die Kuchen selbstgemacht und sehr lecker. Allerdings gibt es für größere Gruppen keine Chance. Hier kommen vor allem einheimische Damen gerne.
