H.The reviews don't lie! I haven't been to Dunedin before and decided to try this cafe as it looked really inviting. The coffee is hands down the best coffee I've had (I've been back every day that I've been in Dunedin - it's that good). The atmosphere is great, the owners are friendly and the cabinet food is all of the same high-standard. Definitely check this place out

G.My fave cafe in town. The coffee is always good as well as the food. The staff welcomes everyone with a smile and they treat you like family. Such a vibrant and positive environment. They definitely make the best eggs. Highly recommend to anyone strolling around town looking for a quick bite or delicious drink.

D.Eggs Bene. Succulent eggs, bountiful moist mushrooms, delectablely fresh salmon, all with a rosti on the bottom which tickles the tongue. Recommend you stop in on any trip through Dunedin. Best wishes, Donny. PS the coffee is dreamy.

Z.Wonderful local family-owned cafe. Food and coffee is delicious and the service even better. The caramel slice is AMAZING and just yesterday I overhead another patron saying its the best caramel slice they've ever had! Thanks Christine and Markus for creating such a lovely place to spend time :)

n.Great place for a coffee. They roast there own beans, best coffee I have had since being back in Dunedin. Staff are friendly and helpful. Although I didn't eat the food looked really good. Some out door seating as well as indoor. Have old school arcade machine there you can play for free as well. Definitely recommend.

K.Wolf at the Door rocks. We love the friendly service, comfortable stylish relaxed atmosphere with excellent coffee and delicious flavourful food. Off the menu or from the cabinet all items are recommended. A real Dunedin gem with something for everyone. Always look forward to coming here for a great experience.

H.There's a lovely atmosphere in this Cafe. It has a rustic aesthetic that feels very homey and comfortable. The whole Cafe was actually a lot bigger than I thought it would be from outside, and there's plenty of seating available.
The food is absolutely beautiful and well priced - you get quite large portions for what you pay. The cheese rolls are as thick as my forearm! The large curly fries or poutine feeds 2-3 people.
The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Devon was our server and he nailed our order, and was happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. I'll definitely have to pop in here again when I'm in this part of town, it's well worth the money.

A.If Wolf were a person, you'd want to be its best friend. It would have the cool quirky one liners you wish you'd said, but be super friendly with it. And it would wear retro chic without irony and manage to pull it off.
There's bound to be a pun about good taste, but I can't think of it. Ask Wolf - they'll know.
A.Absolutely spot on salmon egg bene, one of the best in Dunedin! Bagels are pretty epic and a huge plate of curly fries. Awesome coffee, lovely vibe to the place, will definitely be back 😀

Such an incredible coffee shop — my family has been traveling around New Zealand for a few weeks with a home base in Dunedin and this is our favorite spot. We walk here every morning for coffee and pastries (15/10 recommend the savory muffin, but everything is amazing). They have soup and sandwiches, too, including vegetarian options. The coffee is perfect, Christine and all the staff are so welcoming, and the atmosphere is perfect for a quick pop in or a longer stay. Chat up the locals, read the paper, or quietly plan your next journey while enjoying a nibble or sandwich—
We will definitely be back!!

D.Locals kind of place you look for to escape the touristy spots. My wife and I were looking for something away from the octagon that would have good coffee and breakfast. This place was perfect! This is the kind of place that where the locals keep coming back as we noticed by most of the patrons greeting someone they knew as new arrivals came in. The staff was super friendly and service was quick. Our coffee and breakfast both arrived quickly, still hot and delicious. This was the best breakfast we had while in Dunedin and it made the day start off great!

C.I just had a jack fruit bagel by accident (looked like chicken) and so glad I did, it was amazing. Fresh house made bagels and great ingredient matches. Apparently is was vegan as well, unlike me. Go there....

B.If you want a cafe that inspires you, this place is great. Awesome art on the walls, free to play arcade games, awesome coffee and even better food. The mushroom bagel is my favourite.
J.Wouldn't go here again. The barista didn't look like he was having a good day, no smiles or chit chat. None of the food in the cabinet was labelled so didn't know what things were, and didn't want to ask grumpy pants! Music was pretty loud.

K.Atmospheric cafe, rich in the flavour of this city, old and new; rich warm, flavours of enveloping coffee that is roasted onsite and from the food that is created onsite, from local sources. The back room with its mural of time gone by, people walking out of a soul music setting... its booths, couches, tables with little libraries of books here and there and photos that invite you to stay awhile. They've kept the shape of the building, while adding spaces with wood and art so you feel as if you've discovered a spot that you can't wait to tell someone about.

E.Well I think I just stumbled upon the best little cafe in Dunedin! Superb coffee, lovely staff and delicious food ( I had the mushroom and Tyme soup it was yummm). They have plugs if you need to charge, cool coffee table books and funky art. I don’t usual write reviews but this place had such a homely vibe I just had to share.
