Featherston has had a couple of dud cafes in past years but this one isn't one of those and is worth a stop. Spacious interior, friendly staff, great coffee (Flight), and a good selection of tasty food. Try it.

Great coffee and delectably inviting cabinet food. Fresh chilled water available to help yourself as you wait for your order to be prepared. We timed it well to be in ordered and seated when a queue quickly built from the counter and out the door. Despite being hectic the counter staff acknowledged customers coming and going, while the waitress was quick on her feet serving and clearing as she went and still smiled. A cafe I would visit again.

Consistently good food from either the counter or the kitchen. We visit this place quite a bit through the year. We like being able to choose to sit inside or out. There is a pastry that is like eating a delicious pillow of soft pastry, custard and berries available. Be very direct if, like me, you don't want toast under scrambled eggs because it gets soggy, but want it on the side, not soggy. Owner is usually overseeing the cafe and keeps things tightly run. I can't comment about the pizzas as we haven't had any.

Stopped by for a late breakfast and was impressed. Quite a wide selection to choose from. Very friendly staff. Saw the lady at the counter come over and ask everyone about their experience with the food. I had a Big Breakfast and it had a good variety of different foods. My wife had Eggs with Sourdough. It was done well, just the way she wanted it. The Cappuccino was great as well. There is an outdoor section as well, which is what we chose and enjoyed the sun.

Great Cafe. The food was delicious and good service. We ended up going twice. On the way and back from Martinbough. The locals were lovely and friendly as well.

Flight coffee which I find a little bitter for my taste but the service was so lovely. Wait staff noticed we ha kids and gave them a free plate of marshmallows. So nice!

What a beautiful way to spend the Wellington anniversary day, at Featherston's beautiful cafe Everest Pioneering Cuisine. The staff are so friendly and very polite and more importantly the food was divine. I will definitely stop here again on my next trip up to the Wairarapa ☕🥗🍳

Another ordinary cafe. Good clean presentation and atmosphere is good. Toilets are pristine clean. The young guy took ages to make my coffee. I often wonder why the sizes of coffee are not uniform throughout the industry. Some ones large is a medium elsewhere.

The soft boiled eggs, chorizo and Rye soldiers was perfect. Delightful staff. Looking forward to my next visit. I have to say the Smashed Avocado is THE BEST I've ever had, stunning. Oh and at last, somewhere that makes a perfect Cortado coffee.

Lovely cafe. Modern and clean, friendly staff. Plenty of space. Delicious cabinet treats as well as a brunch and lunch menu. Not a huge range of cooked food but enough to satisfy most people. Hot choc was ok, but have had better. Others who bought coffees complained that they were a bit cold. Food was good. Had scrambled eggs on sourdough and added mushrooms and bacon. Quite filling.Wouldn't expect a cafe like this in the middle of Featherston to be honest but will definitely try to be back when next passing through.

I had eggs on toast and a coffee. The eggs were poached to perfection, the toast was yum and crisp and the coffee was pretty good too! The wait staff were lovely and the one lady who served me was so polite, very impressed. A place definitely not to be missed.

A gem of a cafe. What a nice spot, lovely atmosphere and service. The food was excellent and the cafe and kitchen were very clean, stylish and open. (You can see right into the kitchen) The coffee was good but not great, but the cooked breakfast was fantastic. Fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. 4 instead of 5 stars only because the coffee wasn't great but was good, and because my wife received her meal about 10 mins before mine. Overall a great place to eat though and will look to go back again. God Bless

Sorta hit & miss place for a feed. Definitely need consistency. Had seafood chowder for the second time, lacks seasoning which makes the food blend. Coffee machine needs constant cleaning sadly tasted like old coffee.

A very nice cafe to stop by in Featherston. The food has always been great, and there is an excellent cake selection. It is the most popular place in the town though so it can get quite busy at lunch time.

The food here is simply amazing. They make everything themselves- mince the meat for the burgers, etc. I had the Thai Grilled Salad and my partner had the burger. Both were delicious. He can't remember a better burger. I'm sad we weren't in Featherston for breakfast also - the breakfast menu looked incredible. Not cheap eats, but the food is so good we didn't mind the prices.

Kind of a Base Camp on the far side of Everest, well worth the drive or if passing through. Very popular, steady stream of customers through door and takeouts. The big breakfast is tasty. Unusual ingredients that makes it stand out like the polenta fries. Just disappointed that they don't warm up the plates, so the food goes cold fast specially in a big breakfast that take time to eat.
