Excellent service, good coffee, good food. My bacon & eggs was good and the portion is reasonable. Lots of varieties of foods to choose from on the menu and in the cabinets. Will come back to try their pies that they bake on their premises.

Four of us on a road trip were hungry just as we were passing by. So glad we stopped. Two of us are vegetarian and they have a number of vegetarian and even some vegan options. I spied a roasted root salad in the cold case and ordered a bowl. They heated it up and it was excellent. Well seasoned, with herbs and even some pumpkin seeds. My husband ordered a smoked fish pie. It was divine. Our cappuccinos were beautiful and perfect as well as all the other savory and sweet food we ordered. They even serve wine. There is a lovely outdoor area to sit. Very nice service too - good people and delicious food.

Driving south as you enter Geraldine nestled amongst beautiful trees is where you will find a cafe and gift shop. Off the road parking with easy access. Local artwork adorns the walls with locally made crafts for sale in the cafe. You will be spoilt for choice with the wide selection of cabinet food baked on the premises. The croissant ham and cheese was delicious along with the Heart and Brew coffee . The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you

You'll find the Geraldine Orchard Farm Cafe when driving south on Highway 79 just before arriving in the small town of Geraldine. It is a large red-brown complex with a cafe, farm shop and large carpark. Opening hours are 8-5pm on weekdays and 9-5pm on weekends. There is a cafe on location but we stopped here during our drive between Christchurch to Lake Tekapo to stock up on food items from there farm shop. Fresh foods on offer are grown on their own local orchard. You can pick up fresh vegetables, fruits, artisan cheeses, bread, honeys, jams and muesli and other packaged and canned foods on offer. We were quite happy with our food purchases at the Geraldine Orchard Farm Cafe and would happily stop here.

The coffee was good, but... sadly the attitude was abit much. Yes the food is all over priced, but that should mean the attitude should match. Good thing they have a bouncy slide, as a great draw card for the children.

The Farmshop is a warm stopover with reliable food. Littlies love the bouncy castle on fine days and the frozen fruit yoghurts are yummy in summer. Didn't sample them this time because of winter weather.

We LOVE this place. We've been a few times over the years and the kids love the bouncy castle! We love the food and the biggest bowl of coffee I've seen in NZ. The owners/managers are fantastic and very friendly. Try the Kumara Rosti, you won't regret it!

Fabulous cheese (proves that you can get a lot of two type of cheese into a scone) scone served warm with butter - I suspect everything else here is equally yummy as it was obviously a very popular place for snacks or lunch. The coffee was also good. Indoor and outdoor seating. Surrounded by impressive trees. A lovely place and lovely food served by nice people. Not too expensive given the quality.

Nice place. A little bit niggly on portion size. I had a plate of salad, which was nice, but not quite enough food. We both ordered large coffees and they were cups most places would call medium. But it was good coffee. Have had fruit ice-cream there in the past and that is excellent.

Always a great stop when travelling south. Nice place for the kids to have a break during a trip. Really popular, especially over holiday weekends, so getting a table can be a challenge at times. Really nice food, with a good selection and prices are ridiculously reasonable (always a bonus! )

Loved our stop here, all 3 staff that we came into contact with today were lovely and friendly. We had pasta of the day, chicken filo and a croissant with coffee and milkshakes. All were delicious and good sized portions. Heaps of parking, we were in a campervan and lots of room for us. The highlight had to be the inflatable obstacle course for our 2 and 5 year old boys. Stroke of genius!! Thank you for a lovely stay.

That was so good! We picked this cafe out of all the other cafes in Geraldine from a google search. The rib eye steak sandwich was juicy and the bread was so fluffy and soft. I wish there was such good food in Sydney. Sometimes you get cafes that skimp on quality but charge the same price since it’s a “good cut of meat”. Oh and the chips which came with it tastes better than fish & chips stores ...

This place is awesome. If you’re looking for authentic locally sourced food and goods I would highly recommend visiting. They have a big shop with wide variety of unique things and a cafe as well. The hot drinks we had were great. Food looked awesome, lots of places to sit outside in the sun or inside by the fire. Great for kids as well they have a bouncy castle outside!

We cant say enough about the Orchard Farmshop, the staff are way and above fantastic, the food is yum, most of the baking is done in house by a qualified Baker, the coffee/drinks are well brewed, they cater for the kids with a bouncy castle, the cafe is always warm just like the welcome. I mean come on...what more could a weary traveler or local customer want.

Love going to this place but today was disappointing as food came out far too slow. We were all travelling back to Christchurch in 3 cars. Family members with a baby had to get their pies as takeaways in the end after waiting 15-20 minutes and had to leave other members of family behind still waiting for their whitebait butties. We were all travelling back to Christchurch together but were separated after this. Hopefully things will be better when we call in next time.

Good staff, the menu is comprehensive but pretty basic. Being an orchard shop they do use fresh fruit in many menu options which compensates for the chips with everything. The attached shop has a wide range of goods in addition to the normal fruit and vegetables.
