F.If you're heading North, skip the meagre offerings at Springs Junction because this place is a real treasure. Generous portions, good coffee, delicious food, friendly staff and a relaxed setting, with fresh flowers on the table. Cabinet full of house-made baking and pies. Highly recommended.
M.Stopped on the way through with the kids for a scone and a drink - great spot. At the rear of the property is the local school which had an epic playground. Definitely worth checking out if kids need to stretch their legs and your visit is during the weekend/school holidays
P.The food is amazing. They bake their own bread. Literally the best gluten free buns I've ever had. Make sure you stop for lunch!!

K.This is a place I will return to. The coffee and food are excellent, the service is very prompt and the staff friendly and obliging. All facilities are clean and easy to access, and the cafe's atmosphere is interesting and comfortable. There is ample parking space, but I suspect that the proprietor will have to expand this once word gets around about the quality of their products and service. Try it. I'm sure you will be delighted.
J.Previous experience has been superb. Very friendly staff and their young children. What a neat family! Only trouble is, it was closed when I went through in Sunday Oct 3 2021. I had to stop in Murchison instead and it was super busy there! So, whatever you do, please don't ever close it, and let no one tell you that you have to close it. It's a real treasure!

M.A real gem, ten minutes north of Springs Junction. Lovely outdoor eating area and spacious inside with lots of character. It’s not a sandwich bar, rather it has a good range of salads and cooked meals - beautiful homemade pies. I had pan fried blue cod. Superb. Salad accompaniment was outstanding in its variety. Crisp chips. Perfect. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Food is amazing. Jaguar club were there on the 20th for lunch and everyone had high praise. My Christchurch trip now has a new stop.
P.Good service, nice menu. Food well presented. Do wish that the trucks roaring through Maruia and rattling the cafe would slow right down. Traffic movements around this cafe feel very unsafe.
K.Pulled over here on the last leg of our road trip and can confidently say it was our favorite meal of the whole route! Every component on the plate was homemade, fresh, and tasty as hell. Stop here and get a pie, even if it means you may leave knowing you will never eat such a tasty pie again.
S.A very nicely set up cafe in the middle of highway. Good service, reasonable price, good portion. I got poached eggs instead of scrambled that I 've ordered. The chef was most apologetic for his mistake. He cooked me another scramble egg even though I said it's ok. Will be back again.
V.The brekkie burger was amazing! Whoever makes the dishes must have a passion for what they're doing, because it's perfectly put together. The flavour combinations gives a lovely harmonious taste experience. Definitely a hidden gem and a must try!
