Reviews of Ethos
G.
Great service. Querky cross between Sunday school tea and biscuits and a classroom. Lovely eggs on 5 grain toast and probably one of the best presented capuchinos being beautifully gloss white froth. I felt kitchen food was well priced but cabinet food was far too pricy. $8 for a slice is $2 above town prices. Maybe look into this.

My favourite local cafe, with a great vibe and wonderful food that is always a bit different from your standard fare. I am a big fan of their contribution to social justice - it's the "icing on the cake." Visitors are always "wowed" when I take them there.
C.
Amazing cafe with delicious food catering for a range of diets including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and keto. They are a social enterprise doing great work in our community, and have created a welcoming social-justice-oriented environment. There is a beautiful Matariki Garden in the back. Indoor and outdoor seating, and private room bookings available.

Great service and chai! The gf vegan raw cheesecake was lacking in sweetness and isn't something I'd try again, but I hadn't been disappointed in the past and it's good to see a bunch of allergy friendly options!
Cabinet could label the foods better though.
C.
Best coffee in Hamilton. Service is brilliant. Awsome spot for mums with bubs or any children. Value for money too.
M.
What great value and variety of food ( delicious try the salmon & egg stack) and friendly genuine staff. I love this place plus the fact that its socially ethical. BYO takeaway cup. If it's hot sit in the garden if it's cold sit inside...cosy couches and thought provoking posters. If you haven't been here , come soon.

What a place. A non for profit organisation that trains up the community in in hospitality. The coffee good, the food good, the experience good.

Tucked away behind some Community buildings, it is a surprising & delightful setting for a cuppa. We sat in the courtyard under a cherry tree in bloom. I had a cheese & onion scone. It had a bit too much bicarb in it, so had that metallic taste to it. Also, they must've decided to spoil us & use a fancy cheese instead of the usual- it tasted more mushroomy than cheesy. Not unpleasant, but not the cheese & onion scone I expected.

The food selection and customer service is always exceptional. Really face to face and friendly customer service. Food presentation and beverages meet the mark for very satisfied customers. The atmosphere of Ethos is restful and calming.

What a fantastic place! Great idea on the takeaway coffee (which was made perfectly by the new staff member) I loved the windchime/light?? And staff were all so friendly
J.

Visited Moira my friend in Hamilton and she took me to this fabulous cafe. It’s a fantastic space and the staff are wonderful. Coffee is great and the food very yummy. It’s somehow associated to services provided by the Anglican Church and has great political statements plastered on the walls. I loved it all.
S.
What an amazing place! Food was unbelievable, coffee even better! Plus, the vibe is on point, with a real push to be environmentally aware and sustainable with no single use cups. Cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely be back again.
L.
Awesome rustic cafe. The almond croissants are the best ever!
It can be a busy place with other organizations next door so parking can be a challenge but you'll get one. Love it!!!!
T.
Nice food, great atmosphere, good service.
Could do better on marketing themselves: I've lived within a couple km of them for 10 years and only found them now.
B.
Always great food range but cool idea we picked up our take away coffee in a jar with a tartan ribbon. Coffee stayed hot for ages, thinking outside the square. Thanx Ethos

Great area for kids. Cabinet food I've tried is good too.
