R.Wonderful service, delivery and food was exceptional. Bun, slices and homemade pies for a work function.
At least 3 days notice is recommended as they are highly sought after, can cater for small and large functions depending on notice given. Delivered on-site, on time and beautifully plated. All dietary requirements can be catered for including gluten free, vegan and nut free. (Separate meals are prepared for these)
Prices are fair and reasonable considering the quality of food prepared. Highly recommend for all catering needs.
D.Hazel Hayes is a café conveniently situated on the ground floor of Wintec House. It used to house Mavis Made to Order, and you'll find that many things on the menu are the same as those that were offered under the Mavis moniker. With both indoor and al fresco dining, the seating and dining arrangements can suit you regardless of the weather.
L.A big thank you to Dylan and the team at Hazel Hayes for the great job they did with the catering for our staff Christmas party recently. We had rave reviews from our team about the lunch! The portion sizes were spot on and everything was delicious. We have several staff members with dietary requirements who really appreciated the care that was put into the special meals as well. Thanks again team!
n.The team from Hazel Hayes catered our wedding at Woodland Estate in Gordonton Waikato, March 27th 2022. They are the most friendly and accommodating people I've ever met. We had nothing to worry about at all.
Headed in person by Dylan, we new with his reputation on the line it would be good. Even though it was a small event, only 28 people, they still put the personal effort in.
T.We had Hazel Hayes cater one of work events, and what a superb job they did! The service was excellent, the food was beautifully presented and most importantly... it tasted amazing! All of our attendees (and staff) were raving about the catering throughout the event after. Would definitely recommend! 😍

A.Over and beyond service, the lady offered to take a group photo for our birthday lunch group without being asked and offered take away options for those that did not finish their meals. The bacon hashbrowns are delicious!

P.It's a central city cafe with the traditional central city cafe vibe. The barista has the obligatory tattoos and beard.
The block it's in is a bit quiet at the moment compared to the rest of the city, hopefully it'll pick up.
It has a meeting room for hire, which is why I went. It's not much, tables, chairs, an easel, speakers and audio, but it's quiet and pleasant.
I didn't try the coffee or food.

A.Beautiful food. Asked Hazel Hayes to cater my mother-in-laws 90th birthday and everyone was impressed. The coeliacs amongst us were specially catered for and was excellently safe and tasty for them. Presentation perfect. I found Dylan was friendly and easy to deal with. Will choose them again.
A.We had our Christmas function at Hazel Hayes for about 20-25 people and it was really great! Food was fantastic and the space was perfect for the amount of people. The staff helped us to rearrange the tables, decorate the area, play our own music and make the most of the night! Definitely recommend this place for a private function. Thanks again!!
I.We had Hazel Hayes cater our wedding a couple of weeks ago. The food was awesome and the service was great, it was super easy to plan the event with them. Dylan was incredibly flexible and solved all the problems that arose without a fuss. Had lots of compliments on the food and service from wedding guests.
P.One of our favourite Hamilton cafes, food and service always consistently high standard. And in case you're wondering, the 2 for 1 chicken burger promo is genuine and 100% . We thought because we were getting "2 for 1" something might have been skimped on or left out, but we are happy to say it was everything it should be and more. Will spend the rest of the day remembering the deliciousness.....until next time Hazel Hayes, hopefully very soon.
A.Sandwiches are very nice roast pork is the best! Original fillings chutneys real home made flavour a bit pricey though, still recommended 👍

S.Once inside this awesome cafe, it felt as though we were in a cafe in Barcelona, and far away from Victoria street. It is rare to find staff that truly care about the clients. Added to this the food was tasty, filling, good quality and good value. The toilet had face cloths available, making it easy to wash up after a great meal. My family and I walked out smiling, and will definitely be back as soon as possible.
T.Took advantage of the 2 for 1 chicken burger deal Hazel Hayes offered (I did think it might be a hoax) but nope legit! Lovely meal and then as we were leaving, I was given a complimentary sweet muffin :) Awesome service!
A.Great cafe with a lovely 70s flair but without all the plastic gadgets that are so often found in cafes of that style. Great food with vegetarian and vegan options. Nice coffee and tea and good space to work on your laptop. Music good to still able to hear the conversation.
J.A unique wee cafe in the heart of Hamilton. Great food and coffee and the vibe there is spot on. Service was outstanding, we were accidentally charged for a few more coffees but refunded before I had even realised. The sweet treats were fantastic post lunch too.
W.Wow what a great find in Hamilton. It is along the main street but heading back towards Te Rapa. The cafe has great eclectic seating (chairs of different colours with that distressed paint look. Looks like they make their own cakes and sweets - I tried a lemon sponge with a really well made topping. Very yum with a nice pot of English breakfast tea at 10am
L.Unbelievable how far you have to walk down Hamilton's main street to find a decent cafe, but this was definitely it. Top marks on the coffee. Only 4 stars because I didn't order food so I couldn't rate that. Great friendly staff.

F.This has to be the greatest caffe for breakfast in the world! The Hazel's big breakfast is unbelievable, including all ind of no so healthy delicacies, such as ham and black pudding sausage. The coffee is as well excellent - flat whites are my favorites. Just because this restaurant the meal of the day I long more when I come to Hamilton is breakfast.
A.Loved the eggs beni on hashbrown asked for side bacon and mushrooms (portobello). Service with a smile. Nice atmosphere. Coffee good. Def be back..
M.I was lucky to have caught a $20 lunch voucher from grabone and snuck out to Hazel Hayes during lunchtime. I had one of the special breakfast options with confirm mushrooms, poached eggs on toast and hollandaise, homemade baked beans, bacon, pork sausage, and micro greens. Every element on my plate was truly excellent and it was probably my favorite breakfast option ever! Staff were friendly, place was clean and cosy. There was a bit of a wait, but it was a weekday and a busy place with the working crowd.
