S.Warm welcome into a place of ambience. I love how much of the church is still present. A brunch special was enjoyable. Only improvement suggestion is to not wrap the bread with bacon. It was too soggy. Well recommended.
M.The building was our Church before it was sold, moved to Te Kowhai and restored as a Cafe. Beautifully restored with high wooden beam ceilings and polished wooden floors. Of the church benches, tables and chairs have been retained as part of the furniture as well.
So partly curious and eager to try a new Café we booked a table for nine to celebrate my birthday. Menu consists of breakfast and lunch as well as a kiddies menu. We had coffees to drink and ordered food off the menu. Cabinet food was also available but to be honest none of us had a look at what was in the cabinet. Typically of the two grandchildren aged five and almost two, there had to be a birthday cake with candles they could blow out. So a $14 cake and candles were purchased at our local supermarket to take with. Unfortunately to the grandkids dismay and disappointment we were told that we had to pay $20 surcharge as they had to cut the cake, which resulted in the cake being left in the car.
Consensus around the table, food good, service good but I must say that the Chicken Waffle with bacon, whipped cream and maple syrup I found exceptional. Only other criticism is that besides the beef burger there was no steak offer on the menu.

Amazingly high class stylish ambience, extremely friendly staff, really impressive and elegant restaurant to woo your guests and for special occasions.
Food are really good too and the chef is s-s-so obliging.
Will definitely make this our regular.

J.Immaculately presented cafe and friendly service, however we were told to get a seat and everything would be brought over but we eventually had to ask for menus.
The food and coffee was great so compliments to the chef.
V.An ideal destination cafe. Stopped in for coffee and a light snack. Side salad came with no dressing and we had to ask for serviettes, but staff keen to please.Great coffee and the pineapple upside down cake slice is delicious.
J.Had a wonderful lunch there. I had the poached eggs and mushrooms and hubby had poached eggs with potato rosti’s.
Both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

F.Very popular place. This is a beautifully restored church building that has a very nice feel about it. We did not order food on this occasion but the friends we were with enjoyed their brunch. The coffee was very good and the staff are lovely. We'll be going back to try more on the menu some day.

T.Great location and good food. Pricey and a bit rigid on swaps and meal size. Also didn't offer or ask but delivered large coffee. Too big for me and not yet used to having to say. I'll be back as its local.
J.This is a unique and interesting place to visit. Has a wonderfull atmosphere especially if you appreciate old churches....food was quite nice and the portions were a good size. Gluten free and celiac well catered for.
However coffee is terrible so stick to tea if you want a hot drink. Two of our group of 6 left their coffee after 1 sip. The rest of us pushed on through but it was a nasty experince which took the shine off everything else.

G.This was my second visit. Lunch and coffee were good. Not a huge selection on the menu or in the cabinet but our food was tasty. Pleasant staff. Beautiful building but please, please get rid of the ugly, tacky plastic indoor plants.

Pretty ordinary after an hour and a half wait , poached eggs were more like hard boiled , scrambled looked like only one egg over cooked and fish and chips very over cooked . Nice surrounds and de outside deck will be great in summer . Will try again when they get their liquor license.
