Excellent cafe in Hamilton CBD. The food is great and served with lots of attention to detail. Staffs are very attentive. Coffee too is amazing and strong.

Staff communicated clearly, super friendly and lively atmosphere on a busy day, beautiful interior design. Great, simply food and amazing coffee. Yes, you should go here, enjoy it, live it, love it.

food taste & presentation is always consistent. one of our fav go-to brunch spot with impeccable service. if you’ve not tried it, you’re obviously missing out.

Go here regularly for coffee when I'm working in the office. The staff are always very friendly and the baristas know my order now which is great - especially as a plant based milk drinker. Also they make the absolute BEST scones in Hamilton IMO - the way they grill them and get them extra toasty is *chefs kiss*

Every road trip needs a good food stop, Scotts is the place if your roadie goes through Hamilton. Bloody good coffee and great food, including some great dishes with what I think is an Eastern European twist. Highly recommended.

Consistently delivers, have been coming here for over 10 years now off and on as I don't live in Hamilton and the food and service are always on point. Aglio Olio still great and coffee is superb.

Very friendly staff and quality food in a relaxed modern setting. Plenty of outdoor seating and a beautiful courtyard at the back to enjoy a coffee under the sun. Their buckwheat waffle with bacon, banana and salted butterscotch is light, delicious and moorish. Their presto pasta is flavorful, garlicky but well balanced. Definitely one of the better cafes in Hamilton.

Great coffee and breakfast. Breakfast menu is very special and the food are awesome! It also has a court yard seat area.

Nice setup with very helpful staff. Coffe was great. I had the chocolate brownie which was the best I have ever had served with berries and yoghurt. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious crepes. Few things on the menu that looked really yummy as well so I definitely need to go back. The iced chocolate was one of the best I've had in recent times.

Always friendly, great coffee, great food, and great service. A bit of an oasis in the middle of Hamilton during my 6-month stay. Cyclist-friendly too, and Serety is always up for a chat and to make you feel welcome :-)

Cheeky stopover on way to Auckland... coffee was good! Devilled Sausages were fantastic! Other half had massaman chicken curry & not disappointed! Friend had steak sandwich and this also proved a winner! Well done!!

Piccolo was so so. Spagatti was not much ingredient. Passion fruit tart was sweet but cannot feel the fruity part.

Very cool place. We sat in a cute courtyard out the back. The service was awesome. We had coffees and food on our table super quick (even though they were pretty busy) and both food and coffee were fab. Highly recommend this place.

Really great food! I have coeliac disease and most menu items can be made gluten free on request. I will definitely come back and try their other gluten free foods

Pros: - great coffee - great food (cheese scones are really good) - convenient location - excellent customer service Cons: - very narrow store so can be hard to maneuver through the store - can get busy (which sucks because its narrow 😔) 5 stars though. Highly recommend!

Best coffee joint in Hamilton. Great service, and I especially love the timber-framed bifold windows out to the lush green courtyard at the back of the cafe.

I had the best carrot cake I have ever had in my life at Scotts Epicurean. My partner and I are on holidays from Australia and it was great to stumbling into this place. Coffee was very good as well. We'll definitely be back before we go to see what else we can try 👌

Lovely courtyard in back and great food!

An impromptu breakfast date found us here. Very prompt and polite service was diluted by an average cup of coffee. The healthy breakfast option was excellent although short one egg. Great coffee with a clean environment. A great place to catch up. Need somewhere to put wet umbrellas. Didn’t have a chance to check cabinet food. In past this has yummy and fresh.

Great place and won't charge a surcharge on a public holiday. I understand if they did but it's a nice touch. One of the owners I met around Covid-19 last year still remembered who I was since I hadn't been back in sometime. That alone says alot about the customer service

Excellent service. Quick with the food and coffee as well as clearing table. Offered table service as soon as entered. Food was simple but well made. Coffee was good as well (and I'm quite picky with my coffee and generally drink as a short black) 👍

I have been wanting to eat here for years and never made the time. Pulled a Uturn in the car on Sunday morning and had the most delicious breaky. Yum yum yum, will be back again!

I have been here twice, and we have enjoyed the experience both times. The menu makes a refreshing change from the usual cafe fare around Hamilton, and the service has was decent enough. The second time we took our 8 month old (at the time) daughter, with whom they were very accommodating, providing a good high chair (quite rare in cafes/restaurants) and giving her plenty of smiles and waves. We will be back again.

Scott's Epicurean is my favorite cafe in Hamilton, I'm not a local but if I was I would be a regular here. The staff are lovely, service is always good and the food is amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful cafe to enjoy lunch in. Although they do not allow dogs into the cafe they are very dog friendly if you would like to sit out front with your furry friend for your meal. 😊

Coffee is up to usual good standard. Can highly recommend the Kumera soup!

It's a really busy cafe. Tried their hot chocolate. The chocolate drink was contained in a slim tall glass, with a brownie bite in a saucer. The foam above the chocolate was about 10 cm thick - very nice:)

The menu covered a wide variety tastes, Service was good, glad to see black pudding on the menu as a extra so had to get it to go with the scrambled eggs and thick bacon that was called streaky, thicker the better IsIay.The whole meal was great the only thing that gets me is the plates with high sides,its like eating from a flan baking tin.Great place great coffee.

Mostly friendly staff however our son woke up really upset and wouldn't settle. Two staff members were lovely offering toys to settle him however one of the chef's who was younger and clearly had no experience with children came over and asked us to take him outside as he was annoying everyone else made me feel very humiliated and upset, we wont go back.

I always love coming here. The boss/owner is very fun and welcoming. He always puts a smile on my face with his humour and antics. Rest of staff are also really friendly and smiley. Good coffee and shelf food as well. Next time I'll try the aglio olio, my friends say its amazing

An institution in Hamilton..fantastic place for a weekend brunch and they serve liquor if you want a cheeky glass of bubbles at brunch. Top quality food always fresh. Lots of GF options. Always a go to for me . Good service and coffee to match.

Delicious fresh food with a seasonal menu, so there is always something fresh, new and exciting to look forward to at scott's! Absolute fave is coming here for a coffee and a bowl of porridge or granola in winter.

Went to brunch today and had a lovely pasta meal reccomended by the wonderful waiter Francis. The service from both him and Liam was outstanding, they are both lovely young men and the coffee was one of the best mochas i have ever had. Deffinatly will be back to try the rest of the menu for sure. The atmosphere and food were both rather enjoyable. Thank you boys for such an amazing experience.

So much hype but I really don't get it. The famous pasta was way overcooked. The pancakes were undercooked and the toppings on it were way too stingy. Our serving didn't have near as much as the photos shown online. Though this place has a unique menu, if you're sick of the usual cafe grub. But don't have high expectations.

My partner and I dined here at a super busy time, midday on a Sunday and were lucky to get a table at all. Regardless, we only had a standard wait time, 'Scott' himself took our orders and was also making the coffees and directing his other staff. With a twinkle in his eye, he was more than happy to help and jovially made suggestions for my order when I asked. The coffee he made was divine and the crepes with lemon and brown sugar that I ordered were absolutely delectible. I was more than impressed and will be returning in future for sure to try more of the menu and to enjoy the relaxed yet bustling ambience of this aptly named cafe

Stands out for its food quality and options . The $10 pasta is great. How many times do you go somewhere and you're faced with $5 for a scone or muffin or $20 for stuff you don't want. Can be busy and you won't always get a table but that's a good thing.

Wonderful food, definitely worth the good reviews! Amazing beef cheek which just fell apart, and delicious Tika Masala curry. :) Dessert options were also amazing, and service was delightful.

We've been coming here for more than 15 years. Love the friendly personal service & the fact that the delicious food is a bit different from what's on offer elsewhere. Love love LOVE Scott's aglio alio (highly addictive), but I don't think we've ever been disappointed with a meal there.

Really nice place. Lovely food and atmosphere. When we're in Hamilton we make sure to visit it. In summer coffee, snack and paper outside. In winter inside at a table along the long....long...wall.

I used to visit Scotts about 10yrs ago when I worked in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was still there with the same great food, coffee and service.

Just I had a sandwich there and was delicious. It's not cheap, but ok.
